Never been here before. Got takeaway, nice friendly staff and very decent chips. Fish batter was a tad thin so it fell apart and was difficult to eat with a tiny wooden fork, but it was really nice regardless. They have a bunch of gluten free options too for those that need it. And they take card payment. Will definitely be back.
Fantastic experience at Johnny Dough's and really enjoyed my visit. Perfect for coeliacs like myself - almost any pizza can be made gluten-free! Definitely one of the best GF bases I've had and the service was great too.
We dined here whilst on holiday. I am gluten free and my friend is not. I had the gluten free haddock, chips and mushy peas. I am very happy to report that the meal was fabulous, the fish was perfectly cooked and the mushy peas are really the best I have had. My friend had the plaice and hers was spot on too. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant for both gluten free and ordinary food. Very friendly staff too. Thank you for doing gluten free so well, we are not well catered for as a rule - we will be back.
We’ve just been to wildwood. I’m gluten free and they had a lot of options which is really good. Molly our server who was very helpful and also was very real which we like. Tom also made sure we got the cookie dough (which is also gluten free) to go which proved to be a little tricky but they managed to do it I really appreciated it So thank you.
Really enjoyed it in this place.very friendly and lovely atmosphere.lovely coffee and as I have to have gluten free they had lovely cake which I really enjoyed.
Went for a set meal for two last night 11/08/24 GLUTEN FREE, was absolutely lovely probably the best meal out we have had in a long time. Staff are very welcoming and can't do enough for you, highly recommend. Brilliant thank you!
Loved everything about this Greek restaurant. The staff are accomodating, knowledgeable and friendly. The food is excellent and portions generous. The coffee is great too. We'll go back next time we're in Llandudno. (Good coeliac awareness too)
This was really nice, food was terrific, good choices of nibbles, starters and mains, offering some gluten free and vegetarian options as well. It does get very busy, I was advise pre-booking, we ate late afternoon and were lucky to get a table. Nice selection of beers and wines with a monthly wine specials board. The food we had was really tasty, hot and moreish! We definitely go back. There is some seating outside but not lots that I could see. Very quaint and cosy inside, worth a visit.
Extensive gluten-free options, good quality, reasonably priced for Llandudno sea front. On street parking, card only payment,BE WARNED. Staff were pleasant.
Very welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, delicious food with plenty of gluten free options available. We went midweek so it was a little quiet but nevertheless a great dining experience. Keen prices for such an excellent meal. Couldn't find a fault. Will happily return when next in town.
Had a lovely meal with the wife. Food was delicious plenty of choice on the menu and gluten free choice as well. The waitresses were very attentive and polite. A good place to go if your ever in Llandudno.
We opted mainly for the small plates to share apart from one person who had the duck as a "main". The dish as a main was literally just double the smaller version, so wasn't actually that suitable as a main dish.
However, the smaller sharing plates were generally amazing and fun to share. Personally I enjoyed the salmon, monkfish, pork and lamb the most. We shared every dish between three, and they stretched that far but the small plates would share best between two. Three of us had three dishes each as recommended by the menu. By the time we got to the last ones they were cold, so I'd be wary of this next time.
The service was excellent and with good humour, and the location is convenient although with free parking outside you're lucky to get a space at busy times.
One of our part needed gluten free and the restaurant catered very carefully for this.
Overall we had an excellent experience and would definitely recommend.
I'm Gluten Free and Dairy free, - very accommodating, generous portion sizes and very welcoming and Friendly Staff, - Also Dog friendly and a snack and water provided.
The main course and service were great.
The dessert a cheesecake was a bit plain, no fruit or coulis, maybe because it was gluten-free.
The price for the whole meal was slightly higher than average
That said, it's worth a try
Lovely little restaurant. Food delicious, staff friendly and efficient. I'm coeliac, there were plenty of options and the staff went out of their way to accommodate me. The food was reasonably priced too. I highly recommend Candles.
Always a favourite cafe as the food is always good.
No specific gluten free specials (like gluten free fish) on the menu. So I had bacon, egg and chips.
The lady did say that their chips are ok as fried separately on their own and they do use a gluten free gravy on dinners.
Husband had haddock which he said was lovely with a light and crisp batter coating, not too heavy.
We came back for tea and hubby had a lovely looking piece of coffee and walnut cake.
