The special of the day was so fresh and delicious! I loved that everything was vegan and the staff were so sweet. There were gluten free options as well. Lovely, inclusive space with decent prices and lots of options.

We visited here after the long walk we had round part of Sintra. Was super quick service and food was delicious. Traditional Portuguese and cozy atmosphere. I have coeliac disease, but the waiter advised what I could have off the menu. Most of the fish and meats were fine and there were a few starters. I had the pork and chips, which was really tasty, just not what I expected! The whistle also advised the chips were not fried in the same fryer as any gluten containing items. If we weren’t as tired as we were I think we would have appreciated this place even more, but it is also great if you just want a quick bite, but still have some good traditional Portuguese food.

Given food we were allergic to, before being blamed for it. Unfortunately an incredibly poor - and indeed dangerous - experience here. Great atmosphere on welcome and attentive staff. Upon informing of allergy information, they clarified with kitchen which dishes could be altered to be gluten free. Upon food being presented, we were told incorrect information, leading to 1 of the 3 diners eating a food they are allergic to. Another member of staff noticed this mistake too late. When manager was informed, despite 3 witnesses and one of the other members of staff admitting it was their fault, the manager was adamant "we must have misunderstood" and that "now you've eaten it, there's nothing we can do to help". Had this allergy been anaphylactic, this would have been a completely different story. Honest mistakes occur, but accountability by management is the bare minimum.
