My husband has SEVERE Celiac and we are super cautious.
He has had the sugar cookie, the meat balls, and the cream of chicken with rice, and he hasn't had any negative reactions to the food. We called both times and they have stayed open for him to stop by. They care about their customers. She also researches her ingredients.
Thank you guys so much for doing this. Its really hard to find safe meals for him. 🙏
My family and I are long-time fans of Cooper’s Hawk. My partner and I are even wine club members, but our recent visit left us extremely disappointed — enough that we’re seriously considering cancelling our membership. We came in excited to celebrate Father’s Day, but what was meant to be a special outing turned into a frustrating experience from start to finish.
While our server was polite, she seemed overwhelmed and possibly forgot to put in our order? My partner waited over 20 minutes for a simple beer, and my mom’s donut appetizer — ordered at the very beginning — didn’t arrive for 30+ minutes. Our entrees? More than 45 minutes. When the manager came over to apologize, she blamed the delay on the gluten-free skirt steak — which honestly didn’t seem like a valid excuse for holding up the entire table.
When our food finally did arrive, it was clear it had been sitting under a heat lamp. Three out of our five meals were noticeably poor. My fries were soggy from the steak juice, my mom’s scrambled eggs were cold and rubbery, and she had to send her dish back. My dad — the guest of honor — felt guilty about his similarly bad eggs but didn’t want to make a fuss. His were tough and overcooked too, only made edible by the hash sauce. For a family that never sends food back, this was especially disappointing.
The server told us the manager would return to check in after seeing how poorly the food turned out. But no one came. No follow-up. No genuine effort to make it right.
We understand that things can go wrong during a busy service, but this went beyond that — the experience lacked care and basic hospitality. On a day meant to celebrate someone special, we left feeling let down. Sadly, we won’t be returning to this location.
Gluten free choices which were great! I enjoyed the mixed berry French toast. There was 3 pcs of French toast topped with fresh fruit, strawberries, blueberries, and bananas. Coffee was hot and served in a pitcher at the table. Very cheery place with good vibes. Comfortable. Everyone was pleasant and greeted me.
Great and flavorful food. They do have a gluten free pasta option (penne) - not bread. The developed flavors in the sauces are fantastic. We will definitely be going back. It was very busy so if you are uncomfortable with that just be aware. The tables are well spaced though. Reservations are probably best. Otherwise first come first serve in the bar area. Good experience overall.
