I was so excited to stumble upon a Gluten Free bakery that my boyfriend and I make the trip back and picked up a few more items to try out. I will say the orange poppyseed muffin was the winner and the funfetti and lemon blueberry cakes are great.
The staff was super nice both times I was in as well.
I think we would personally pass on the cinnamon rolls and monkey bread the next time. The texture is definitely more like a bagel and something in the flour substitute in those particular baked goods (possibly a xantham or guar gum to help with texture) seemed to cause both my boyfriend and I serious GI upset (diarrhea/gas/bloating) the rest of the day.
Overall a great find and I don’t want to dock them any stars for our sensitive GI tracts.
This place is awesome with allergies, we came in yesterday and they were very sensitive even grabbing fresh ingredients. They even remade the pizza when they were worried it might have got contaminated with gluten. Thank you mod pizza for being so awesome!
Amazing food & a reasonable price! Gluten free options were fantastic. Great atmosphere & caring staff. I think this place will give other restaurants a run for their money!!
Met some friends for lunch and was surprised at how amazing every dish was. I had the special, fresh ravioli filled with smoked chicken and cheese, and the entire thing was flavorful and there was a healthy portion. My wife and I shared a Chocolate Crème Brûlée and also loved that. We thought maybe it was a gimmick, but it was delicious.
I live out of state so we won’t be back for a while, but Union is definitely a place that we’ve bookmarked and will return to.
My friend had dietary restrictions and the menu is VERY friendly for that. The chef/owner is very aware of and caters to gluten free and other options, we were told there’s a separate cooking area for those dishes so no shared grills or oils.
Parking was a little more interesting. There are a handful of spots on the side of the restaurant, but if you exit the roundabout at Union and continue down the street to the dead end, there are more spots down there. I got lucky and snagged the last open spot without having to drive around more.
We got the panang curry and pad thai and both were flavorful and delicious! There were plenty of gluten free options and we thought the menu was very reasonably priced for yummy food!
The food here was amazing, service was outstanding! They were able to accommodate to our dietary needs, one person is gluten-free the other dairy free. Definitely a popular place, but totally worth the wait. We had a party of 8, estimated wait time of an hour. We were sat in about 45-50 minutes. Highly recommend B&B Cafe!
We love Crave Real Burgers and miss the Colorado Springs location since it has closed. They offer fantastic gluten free buns for their hamburgers. My only wish is that they could make gluten free french fries in their own fryer. However, this is a great dining experience.
This place was so good!! The service was great and the food was delicious. My favorite was the momo dumplings, so good! There is also a wide variety of options, vegan, gluten free, etc. We sat on the patio and it was a vibe, with the lights, so cozy!!
Only been here once but it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is very unique (inside an old church) and our waitress was extremely attentive. The food was fantastic and they had quite a few gluten free pasta options. They also stay open pretty late. Would definitely come back again.
This is my favorite coffee shop in Castle Rock (and we have a lot of great ones). The staff here are always friendly and answer any questions someone that’s new to coffee may have. I love their seasonal drinks and that they have pre wrapped gluten free options from Waive the Grain which is a dedicated GF bakery.
Usually this a 5 but I am gluten free and they don't make the gluten free items in the afternoon separately and don't care about cross contamination at this location. Really unfortunate.
We're new to the area and on the hunt for great sushi. We definitely found it with Sawara! The sushi is fresh, they have great options and even a dedicated gluten free menu. Our daughter loved the kids meal and the staff was incredibly friendly. See you tomorrow! <3
I love going here. They have homemade gluten free pasta and gluten free Alfredo sauce, which is tough to find. The food isn’t fancy, but it’s solid and a bit old school in a positive way. The service is great and if you bring kids they have coloring books, which is great for “bored” children. My kids always get the pepperoni pizza. I forgot to take a pic of my food as I dug in right away.
Really great tacos and fun place to eat. Margaritas are also good. Love all the TV's. Wish your chips were gluten free but glad you have so many other gluten free options. My 4 year old also loves the tacos.
Amazing. Lynn, I think it was and Jojo were so accommodating to my needs with celiac when I came here for my birthday about a week and a half ago. I noticed that pita or something was next to something I was ordering, and there could have been cross contamination, and they got me new everything and remade my bowl. So incredibly kind and really personable and funny! Thanks so much for the great experience.
OMG!!! This place is awesomely good!!!! My husband and I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary here, and it was to die for!!! We started with some oyster shooters that were absolutely delicious!! Then we had some appetizers: 1/2 oysters on the half shell, that came with shaved horseradish and what I thought was a garlic butter, was in fact a citrus sauce!! That sauce and that horseradish mixed together, offered a great combination for the oysters and really brought out the flavors!!!! Then we had a scallop BLT and that was out of this world!!!! Dinner I had the scallop pasta, which had three huge jumbo sea scallops. The scallops were cooked to perfection, and when I cut them up to mix with the sauce, y'all, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!!!! For desert, I had a cream puff that was out of this world!!!! My husband who has a gluten allergy was able to eat here safely, so if you are gf, you can enjoy their menu!!!! This place is a great place to celebrate anniversaries birthdays, or a get together with friends! This is definitely not a place to bring children, so you may want to make other arrangements for the night, and bring your babies something special afterwords!!! Oh, and our waiter Jordan was still pretty new, but he did an excellent job serving us, and like most places, didn't interrupt us every 5 minutes, instead he let us eat in peace, and was just a rockstar!!!!! You won't be sorry if you eat here!!! Great seafood and great ambiance!!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Emily was great. The kids loved the chicken strips, and I thought that the gluten-free buns was delicious. I would definitely recommend giving this place a try.
They are always accommodating. I meet friends there I usually haven't seen for a long time. They allow us to sit and talk. I do tip well and I don't stay if they ever need the booth. Food is good. They have gluten free and will work with you for eating how you need to.
So this place is cute, has a great atmosphere and the food looks amazing, but I’m a Celiac so I have to be gluten free which is why I came here; because they said they could do gluten free, so that’s what I’m rating them on. If you’re not gluten free, disregard, but if you are gluten free, keep reading.
I would NOT eat here if you’re a Celiac! (Or intolerant) They are not cautious enough to be safe at all! I got VERY lucky, but only by happenstance. (I’ll explain below) so if you’re not gluten free by choice, (ie. Celiac or intolerant) I would NOT trust this place!
So there is no gluten free on the menu but they came up on google as having options and I verified at the door they could do it before letting them seat me.
My waitress talked to the kitchen said they gave me 4 options I could choose that would be gluten free if they left off the plantains. So I ordered one of those and explained I was a Celiac and how important cross contamination was.
When the dish came out they’d forgotten to leave off the plantains so she had to take it back and explain (again) how I can’t have anything touching gluten. Only then did they inform her that whole dish (not just the plantains) are contaminated so if I can’t eat anything touching gluten I could only do these two (other) dishes. Neither of which was one of the ones they started with telling me I could have.
The wait staff and manager was apologetic, but clearly their kitchen does not care enough to support them, which means they can’t handle it.
I only went ahead and ate because I was starving! And nothing else around was open. This was already the third place we tried.
Very fortunately (and possibly miraculously) the new dish didn’t get me sick. It was a very simple dish of chicken with onions, white rice and black beans, and it was good, but unfortunately I will never eat here again because I can’t trust it to be safe.
First time visiting and the food is FANTASTIC!! If you like truffle, their appetizer of tater tot’s and truffle and black garlic aioli is out of this world!! The truffle sauce is the real deal. I would go back just for that. I am gluten free and really appreciate that nearly the entire menu was available to me. I ordered the pasta pomodoro and added scallops. It was an ok dish. Their gf pasta is like most places. Nothing special. The pomodoro and scallops were delicious. They know how to cook their seafood! Had to order dessert because they thoughtfully had gf options on the menu! And none of it sorbet thank goodness! I got the flourless chocolate cake which was absolutely divine with some of the best vanilla ice cream I’ve ever had. Next time I go I will get the crème brûlée because that is also gf! The atmosphere was nice with the tables having a decent amount of space between them. The only complaint I have is the chairs had no padding which gets uncomfortable when you are spending time enjoying a fabulous meal. Overall I really enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Staff was friendly, courteous and helpful, food and wine delicious, checks almost all the boxes!
If I could eat here every day I would! Their hummus is to die for, I've not had a bad meal here, and they are very accommodating for gluten free individuals.
Red Robbin is awesome to visit if you have gluten allergies they have a dedicated GF fryer, and the bottom less fries are a real treat for anyone with Celiacs.
I made a catering order at this location, and it was a great experience overall. I was able to do the whole order online and it was all ready, on time, and with help loading it into my truck. We were thoughtfully greeted and offered any assistance possible.
I would recommend this for catering any event, as there were many options to choose from, with breakfast options available as well. They have gluten free buns and other options for any dietary restrictions.
I have gone in twice to this location. Both times I was given the riot act about being gluten free and I was told I would get glutened, emphatically. Completely unwelcoming. I eat at other Snarf's weekly as a gf person and have never bwen treated this way, nor gotten ill. Why is this location not like the others?
Just attempted to eat here but wasn't able to. Let them know at the start of my order i am dairy free and gluten free due to severe allergy. I ordered a giant hot honey chicken sandwich. Asked them to clean the grill to limit cross contamination. They refused and out the meat right down on top of older cooked food. They then proceeded to cut the pepperoni with a sliver that just finished cutting cheese. I asked if they could clean the slicer so i don't get sick and again if they can please clean the grill as i cant eat that meat. They did clean the slicer but not the grill. Told them just cancel it as I don't want to go to the hospital today. Me and my wife were the only customer at the time. And a response of "you want us to do all that for you" is absolutely unacceptable. Asked for owners card and manager said apologized and told me they can remake it and clean the grill when I said I didn't want to go to the hospital today. I shouldn't have to stress allergic reactions and a hospital visit to get a sandwich that wont make me sick. It takes a minute to clean these items i work in a kitchen.
Met a friend for lunch. Plenty of parking. A variety of seating offered at the restaurant. Server was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. My friend had the spring rolls and loved them. Looked fresh and she reported that they were super good. I had the ? Tuscan salad with chickpeas, capers, artichoke hearts, and more. Very pleased with the creative and colorful flavor combo. Fresh, tasty, and satisfying. I would go back and order the same. My meal was vegetarian, while being
nut and gluten free.
I was in with the family and the atmosphere is great. The salmon? Not so much. I got the pan seared salmon as I wanted a healthier option. I'm sure there are those who like it, but I have to say it was awful! I wasted $40 on a meal I had to force myself to get down and left most of on the plate. They really need to let people know, especially people who are diabetic or have health issues that although it's a gluten free option, it's incredibly sweet and covered in it, including what little spinach I got and the three tomato slices. It was wilted and covered in the sweet sauce. The fried shoe string potatoes were thinner than bean sprouts and so dry they were inedible. I've tried other dishes there, and they were fine but they really need to let people know about this one. Then get hit with $3 for an iced tea, and another $3 for a lukewarm coffee with not even so much as a refill. In hindsight, I should have sent it all back and ordered the house salad and a glass of water, but I stuck it out. I won't even get into the issues we had with them getting our orders out, what they forgot, and the huge fan blowing in our faces that we ended up having to shut off because the wait staff that opened patio seating couldn't be bothered to do it. Ya, I've never seen anybody mess up salmon, but I'm not going back.
Absolutely amazing dining experience in Castle Rock !!! My husband had the fish which was so good that he called the manager over to tell him ! I had the gluten free pasta primavera which was one of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere!
I’ve never left a review in my life but Tribe deserves to be my first - so thrilled it’s close to home in Castle Pines ! We look forward to many more date nights here :)
Ordered a pick up order on the app. Promised to pick up at 6:30. I was there by 6:30 and took them 20 min after the promised time to get my food. Finally when I got home every meal was made incorrectly. Which concerns me cause my daughter has celiac disease and throws up if she has any gluten whatsoever.
THE ONE THING THIS PLACE IS MISSING IS AN ADULT!!! I came in to grab a picnic dinner (5:30)with my family for dinner and ended up listening to thee teenagers gossiping instead of working. Everyone in the restaurant was loosing patience because only one employee was gossiping and making food part time and the other two employees were just wondering around the chatting from the lobby. Then to top it off one of them goes behind the counter and we hope she is helping to get orders out but instead she is making her own food. I only no this because i decided to stand at the counter to apply some death stare tactics only to see the employee blowing on her sandwich as it was still on the toaster belt(gross). I asked if that was ours then she said it was hers. 🙄. Received two gluten free sandwiches which had no tags or markings stating GF. Get to the picnic and no napkins and forgot our brownie. It just felt like me as a customer was an afterthought.
My wife has a real gluten allergy (Celiac disease), although the waitress tried to accommodate she wasn’t knowledgeable on celiac (gluten free) dietary restrictions, my wife ended up with what looked like a 1/4lb cup of dog food and some greenery. She was very embarrassed as everyone else in her group ate like kings and all she got was dog kibble. Very sad.
We went here for my birthday for lunch, and it was absolutely wonderful ! Me and my mom both have gluten sensitivities, and they were very accommodating. The bread used for the sandwiches was perfect and the gluten free deserts were also very lovely! The tea selection was also quite nice, I’d personally recommend the Lavender Earl Gray.
The atmosphere is charming, and dressing up was fun, I loved the opportunity to let out my inner child :)
Also, the lady who took care of us was attentive and kind!
Overall, it was a great experience, and I’m glad I celebrated my birthday here!
Super friendly service. Excellent coffee! They have gluten free vegetarian breakfast burritos that I can't find anywhere else. I ALWAYS stop here when I go to Castlerock.
