Crepes Near Louvre. Great crepes, good value for money, quiet environnement at 2pm Wednesday 18th of September 2024. The service is now ok, some waiters are better than other ( like most places ). The service was prompt. I took the lunch menu at 19€ which includes a savoury crepe, a buckwheat crepe, and a cider / apple juice. This is very decent for the quantity and the quality of the crepes. ( the set lunch menu doesn’t give you the choice of the galettes / crepes; honestly I think it can be better and make you try something you are not used to. I was very happy to try the Greek inspired : feta, olive, roasted tomatoes and cured ham. The sweet one was great. Honey, roasted hazelnut and passion fruit. ( it was supposed to be vanilla, but it was out and passion fruit so much better ) On the menu you can get a sweet crepe of you choice for less than 6 euros ( in a restaurant near the louvre which is good ) Buckwheat by definition doesn’t have gluten in it. So just check with them, because sometimes, I know that in some crêperies they mix a bit of wheat with the buckwheat flour to make it more palatable to foreign palates. ( as buckwheat can be slightly too sour ) The texture of the wheat was amazing, it was very nice to chew on it, just one bite that you can slowly feel going through the crepe. A mouthful of happiness The only downside is the price of a la carte. 17€ for a crêpe is maybe too high for me in this restaurant. But I think their set lunch is a killer for those who go to the louvre and want a crepe. definitely a place I will recommend to my guests.
