My son has a gluten allergy and this is usually our #1 spot for pizza for the family. When I arrived I was greeted, told I would be taken care of shortly, took 5 minutes as they worked on a large order as we waited. When asked what we would like, I said a gluten free and it was due to allergies. The guy working threw his arms down, huffed, and acted annoyed by my request and said I would have to wait a while. Was not impressed by this and we turned around and walked out. I was very disappointed by this and refuse to feel like my diet restrictions because of allergies is a problem for others. This was at 5pm on 6/3.

*Gluten Free Review Only* Have tried this place twice. First time it was just a pick up a GF pizza since the restaurant was completely busy. I was told to wait 5 more mins, 15 mins passed so I asked what was going on and was told they had done some cross contamination so they were making another one, that made me feel secure and was glad to wait for a new one. Then 20 mins passed and when I asked about my pizza, they said they had burnt the pizza so they were remaking it. I waited 25 more minutes and was frustrated but the manager came out and gave me the pizza free of charge. Wasn't great but thought it was because it was a really busy day. Went back for a second try, this time dine in. We ordered two pizzas and a salad. The salad was drenched in dressing, really hard to eats. We waited 15 mins after eating the salad and the waiter comes to tell us they had burnt the pizza so they were remaking it. Had to wait 20 more mins when it finally came out. The pizza was just okay and the middle of it seemed like it was not really baked correctly. Won't be going back, left wanting more from this place.

Casey did a great job taking care of our needs and paying attention to separating items due to a gluten free order.

My wife and I are NJ/NYC natives, and had my share of good Italian. Nicola’ is sold…meat, fish, or chicken you can’t go wrong. Plus homemade pasta. Last night I had my summer favorite…. Cavatelli with broccoli. Wine list is broad enough for anyone to find something they like. Wife is celiac, waitress understood what that means, and was totally accommodating.

We were having a family birthday celebration and opted for pizza. This is close to work and I often eat lunch here. We took advantage of the Wed special and ordered 3 pies then added large supreme and large meat lovers. I later had to add a gluten free personal pie. I needed to pick them up at 4:15 after work. When I showed up everything was ready and all were hot. Worst part was the incredible aroma in the truck driving home. Bottom line is everyone raved about how good they were. If you need a large order for family and guests I highly recommend the Bistro. Great food, great people, great experience.
