Very good food and great service, Josh the waiter was very kind and understanding of my coeliac disease and every other member of staff we spoke to was friendly and approachable
I went to eat at Zizzi, the place is very nice, and the food was delicious. They have gluten-free pasta and pizza, which is a plus because one of my relatives is celiac. The only complaint is that the restaurant was almost empty, with only 3 or 4 tables at most, and they took a long time to bring us the food.
Good food well priced. Great staff.
Kids portions on the small side for our 4 and 6 year olds, but cheap enough you can top up.
Gluten free pizza base was pretty good.
My husband and I really enjoyed our time here. Food was delicious (they do really good gluten free pizza too), atmosphere lovely and service spot on! Alejandro was fantastic. We really enjoyed our time and prices were also good. We'll be back next time we're in Manchester.
Great experience, quick service from Isabella (who was great with every request including dealing with one of us being Coeliac) and the food was delicious.
I booked htis for my birthday dinner because they had oysters (which were excellent) and gluten free past options. Besides the oysters, everything besides the oysters was pretty meh, to be honest. The steak my partner ordered was over cooked. The pizza my son ordered was under cooked, and my pasta was good, but nothing I could not have made myself. The chocolate truffles at the end were also very good. Plus, they make sure to route you through the bar before seating you, so you stat drinking early. The service was fine, but it was chaotic and loud.
Great food, tasty for vegans and non vegans. Also if you’re looking for a pizza place which is truly for people who are gluten intolerant and coeliac then this is it, dishes are cooked separately, both pasta and pizza.
Dana made us feel at ease during our meal and was very welcoming, we had a great meal, thank you! 👌
Pizza Express has really good gluten free dishes and I always look forward to dining there. I’ve been served by Magda many times and she is amazing hosts/waitress. She works so hard and always has a smile on her face!
Found this little GEM of a restaurant while staying in Manchester. Definitely one of the absolute best Italian meals I've had as a coeliac outside of Italy. I don't take very good pictures of food but honestly it was really tasty and my husband really enjoyed his non GF dishes too.
My mushrooms in cheese sauce starter had incredible taste, the pasta was cooked perfectly with a nice amount of sauce (and huge portion!) And the GF garlic pizza bread was lovely and crispy on the edges.
They can do GF penne for pretty much all of the pasta dishes, GF pizza's and a GF garlic bread (on a pizza base). Most of the rest of the menu can be adapted other than a few things (like Arancici or Lasagne)
The staff were SO lovely and helpful too. We were served by Lee and Mariano who couldn't do enough for us.
The restaurant is so cute and pretty as well and we were lucky enough to sit outside on the terrace part with fairy lights all around us (in my picture)
Check it out on TripAdvisor for more pics of how lovely the restaurant is 😊
Amazing gluten free options! Which is rare for an Italian restaurant. It doesn’t state it on the website or the menu but they can offer gluten free pasta, pizza and other items. The service was fantastic and the magician was a cool ending to our meal (very talented illusions!). My only criticism was it was a little cold, even with the outside heater on, in the bit at the back but aside from that would highly recommend.
We had a family meal and the staff were welcoming and checked in regularly with us. 2 of the party were delayed and this was no problem for the staff which was helpful.
The food was great! Pizzas and arrabiata pasta were all good with a delicious tomato sauce. I had the gluten free pizza and it was excellent - the best base I have had in a long time. A reasonable price and great food. Thank you
Lovely food, staff friendly and catered for coeliac. Disappointing though that my hubby and daughters boyfriend were told they couldn't come in with smart shorts on even though it was intensely hot. They were 5 mins from hotel so popped to put trousers on, once seated and enjoying food, the management let 4 gentleman in with shorts on, when we asked why if policy is no shorts they were allowed he said they had booked a table of nine basically more cash from then than our small table of 4, then noticed a table of 5 behind us and one young man also had shorts. We think that this was unfair and felt that we had adhered to the request to then be made to feel foolish for it after
I’ve walked past here manyyyy times but didn’t think i’d be able to really eat anything since i’m gluten-free. was genuinely over the moon to find they can substitute the pasta on most dishes.
Food was fantastic, atmosphere is great, and staff are lovely and attentive - 10/10 will defo be coming back 🙂↕️🙂↕️
Ten of us went from work on a lunchtime mid week without a booking and was looked after very well. Food and service were of a high standard, and the overall experience was good value for money. Catered for gluten-free, vegan, and I think Halal. Overall, we all enjoyed the visit.
