The food was absolutely amazing! It was our first time at the restaurant and everything, including the interior, service and the atmosphere was excellent. There was 5 of us, all vegan or gluten free and we didn't struggle to find food on the menu, some items were adjusted to suit our needs. The flavours were just incredible. We all really enjoyed the experience and will be going back. Thank you Nutmeg team.

Lovely fresh papadam with 4 side dishes which were all delicious. Ate afterwards some of the best Indian food I have ever tasted. Attentive staff with excellent service attitude. Good knowledge of gluten-free options. All in all a wonderful experience.

Great thick flavoursome curries. Been here many times over the years. Sympathetic to all spice levels. Quality ingredients. Friendly staff. On the ball for gluten free choices. Best to book if going on Friday or Saturday

Visit @the_bath_foodie on insta for more Bath & Bristol restaurant pictures, videos and info! I’ve visited Mowgli a few times in Bristol and Oxford and the food is always amazing, however, I’ve found that the service can really let it down. Food wise, a great selection of Incredibly delicious small plates and larger plates are available, with some brilliant vegetarian and gluten free options. The sharing deals are great value and honestly include some of the best curries I’ve ever tasted. However, on more then one occasion I’ve found the member of staff who has greeted us to seem really miserable and unhappy to be there, which doesn’t set you off to a great start. During my most recent visit, we had to wait a while for our booked table to be free, and then once we were sat down it took a good half an hour before we were able to order as the staff were soo rushed. Once we had ordered, our drinks took about 40mins to arrive. We chose the set menus where you get starters, some curries to share and then a desert. The food was great but when we got to the desert there was only one available, and then they obviously needed our table back as we were actually given our bill before our deserts had even arrived. This made us feel really rushed and uncomfortable, which is a real shame as I had brought visiting family over from Bath just to go to the restaurant. To add salt to the wound a £15 service charge had been added to the bill! We apologised to the waitress and said we wouldn’t pay the service for the aforementioned reasons and she told us it was because they had more bookings then they could cope with and they were ridiculously busy. So, to summarise, great food and a really beautiful setting but too busy resulting in stressed out staff and a rushed experience!
