Fantastic gluten-free options. The fish and chips was excellent. The head chef brought my meal down personally so that he could ensure I got the right thing. The older woman at the hostess station was a little rude and condescending but it didn't sour the overall experience

Given that this is priced as it is, I expected a certain level of professionalism and service. I went with a friend for a spa package and left disappointed. The masseuse did an okay job with the massage but talked nonstop. The facial was lovely and while that person also talked nonstop, it was an interesting topic at least. I have no complaints at all about the pedicure - top notch and lovely ladies doing them. However, lunch was positively abysmal. They charge $35 in the day spa package for a "prix fix" lunch but you order off the menu. It's pretty apparent that many of the options don't add up to the $35 you paid upfront. On top of that, I expect a spa/nice hotel to be up to date with allergy needs. I cannot eat gluten - it's not a "preference", it's a must avoid. There were three options for me in total and I went with the baby kale salad. The greens were tough, the chicken breast on top was SO tough that I literally could not cut it, and I ate only half the salad. Our initial waitress was the worst part. When asked what sort of steak cut is on the salad she responded "I don't know" and stared at us. When asked what sort of dessert options there were (prior to ordering lunch) we were told the dessert menu would be available after the lunch was cleared. When we politely asked for further information we were told "sorbet, sweets, and ice cream". And another blank stare. So we asked what were "sweets" and she begrudgingly gave us some ideas. Literally the least helpful staff I've ever encountered. I can't imagine what made her so unwilling to even begin to do her job competently. Thankfully other staff in the restaurant were a bit nicer. In the end, I am never going back for a package again and certainly never stepping foot in that restaurant again.

Very cool atmosphere and the place was accommodating to seat us for lunch even though they were close to being done with lunch service. Not a ton of gluten free vegetarian options but the food was good.

Fantastic evening at The White Hart on the porch of the Tap Room. We had Heard- the food was delicious and it did not disappoint. Would highly recommend the corn starter and the burger. Great with gluten free including gluten free bread rolls and gluten free buns. A must if you are in Salisbury! The Inn was also gorgeous!

We stayed there our last night in Connecticut, and I cannot say enough about how much I adored it. I kept telling my partner, “When we come back..” The layout was functional and exciting, and we were informed by the lovely woman who helped check us in that almost all decor was handmade. The works were absolutely stunning, and we spent a good deal of time just pointing out displays to each other and studying the detail. He and I are big foodies, and I highly recommend Sushi Koya and MJ’s Steakhouse. I have a gluten intolerance, and the staff at MJ’s were so good to me, made sure I was able to have a gf dessert, and made sure all was well throughout the meal. They also had a gluten free English muffin available for breakfast, and I got that for (beautifully presented) room service breakfast in the morning. I even discovered a new shampoo I love (which I can only find in mini travel size, so enjoy the full size when you’re there!) At the end of the trip, I accidentally left my wedding ring on the nightstand. The lost and found department was incredibly kind and courteous, and my ring was safely packaged and even in a hinged box as though I’d purchased it online. Every staff member we encountered was very friendly, and we felt so relaxed the whole way through. We had a stunning 24 hours. Highly recommend this place if you want somewhere that feels like its own privately contained world rather than *just* a casino. These are people who are conscious of every detail, and it truly shows. I think I could live there. We’ll definitely be back!
