Top notch establishment. The food was divine with plenty of gluten free options (which were equally as good with gaurentee of no cross contamination for coeliacs). I highly recommend grabbing lunch or dinner hear. Would come again
Really loving all of the new gluten free savoury options, as well as the gluten free sweet selection. Great coffee, great food and always really good service.
Incredible Gluten Free Battered Fish. Yes Battered! Beer battered or Tempura. Both delicious and crunchy. Very solid wine and beer choices too. Went back twice on the trip. Check it out! And super friendly service.
This is a lovely Cafe with fresh fish and other really lovely dishes on the menu. We've never had a meal here that was less than perfect. I'm coeliac and have never had an issue eating here. This visit, I had the seafood Laksa and my partner had the chowder. So very good!
They also have full or half serves of their fish and chips. The gluten free version is especially good. I treat myself for lunch on occasion and it's never greasy. We've also had their lamb souvlaki in the past and it's so tasty!
Overall, I'd highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area. I think this is one of the best cafes in the Burnie area, and the service is excellent too.
DELICIOUS fish and chips. Crispy chips, crunchy crumb on the fish. Salt and Pepper squid was delicious. Literally the best fish and chips we’ve had in Tassie so far. Amazing catering for gluten free. Lady at the counter was lovely, efficient and super knowledgeable. Worth the money, good quality ingredients and super fresh.
This is a really good place to enjoy and linger over one's morning coffee: cosy, relaxed, a decor that's smart yet friendly at the same time, and terrific coffee. Their breakfast menu is particularly good. Plus where else do you get a fab old wilderness steam train looming large in your breakfast view? Only slight hiccup for me (as a coeliac) was the levy on gluten free bread: understandable perhaps because of its higher cost, but disappointing because it really pushes the simple toast brekkie into a different bracket. But I'd come back, definitely.
