We love going here for dining or just picking up treats for special occasions. Everything is always good. I use a power wheelchair and they are great about making room. I have a daughter with celiac, and we have nut allergies, but they are knowledgeable about what to avoid. We eat on the patio when possible because of an airborne allergy to nuts and coconut.
Excellent place for dinner. Usually go there for breakfast or lunch, but we decided to do an evening meal time. I ordered the Flat Iron Pork Steak, which was huge. There was so much food, I took nearly 2/3 home with me for lunch and dinner the next day. Deliciously cooked - very tender and well seasoned, with yummy herbed little potatoes and veg. I'm gluten free, so they really took that into account while preparing the food. The waitress was fabulous and loved that the manager came by to chat with us. That makes for a lovely experience. Totally recommend!
We came in and I accidentally ordered regular crepes when they should’ve been gluten free due to allergy. They were so kind and accommodating and made all new crepes. Thank you French Press Staff. As always, the crepes and coffee is always good!!!
About 8 flavors of gluten free macaroons. Plus a pavlova and an almond cake. All the desserts are beautiful. Very busy on a Saturday to sit, but you can order at the counter and there was no wait.
Very beautiful location! I got a salad and a gluten free black forest cake---both very delicious. Fair prices for the food, and great for the high quality and taste of the items. Staff was very friendly, lots of sitting room, pretty environment and very clean.
Delicious food!! My husband got the pork chops, and I got the risotto. Both were amazing! We also shared the dirty fries with pork belly as well as alcoholic drinks. This was the last meal of our honeymoon, and it was perfect. I am also gluten free, and they were very accommodating. I highly recommend Castor if you’re looking for a delicious, classy meal. We will certainly be coming back!
We were looking for a good cup of coffee as well as breakfast food that offered gluten-free options.
We were blown away that all of the crêpes were gluten-free options. Coffee was delicious as well as the service and the homemade food.
My family and I have a tradition of going out to celebrate Solstice and this year we went to Bisto Maison and had THE BEST time. The wait staff were so nice and helpful. My wife has borderline celiac disease, and the restaurant was able to accommodate her throughout the whole meal. Our family of 5 (16 and 12 yr old boys and 10yr old girl) have some experience already with high end restaurants, our kids are pretty adventurous with trying new foods. We shared the Tapenade, Salmon Gravlax, and the Crab Cocktail. They brought my wife gluten free crackers and fingerling potatoes AAAND a serving of truffle fries for all of us. Our table was crowded with all the dishes – just the way we like to see it.
After about a 10-15 minute rest/time out, our entrees arrived. Our 12 yr old and 10 yr old both ordered the NY Strip Steak burger. Our one waitstaff warned us how large the burgers are and even though we knew our kids wouldn’t finish them, we took everything home that we didn’t finish – and that included all our entrees. The kitchen staff made my wife’s Cassoulet without the breadcrumb crust, and it was phenomenal. I had the Confit (crispy skin, tender meat) and our 16 yr old son had the Steak tartar. And the wait staff was impressed with his knowledge on how it’s prepared. The meal was perfect – simply perfect.
We ordered our desserts to go because we had to tap out! There were two other tables that celebrated a birthday. The staff brought a sparkler candle for each table, and everyone sang happy birthday. Since the staff learned we came to celebrate Solstice (and while we waited for our desserts) the staff lit a sparkler candle for our table and took some pictures with my phone. In short, we had a wonderful and memorable experience.
One of the best Italian restaurants in Bend. Reservations a must, unless you want to chance sitting at the first come bar. Food excellent, w a ton of Gluten Free options.
We were seated and started off with enjoyable beverages. We ordered appetizers and main course to share. We specified that we are dairy and gluten free. One of us has a severe dairy allergy. Our server Mitch said he would check on the various items we ordered and came back stating that they could accommodate us. We started with the appetizers and the calamari was fantastic, gluten and dairy free. Charcuterie board with various meats, not certain crackers were GF?. Our dinner entree came and looked beautiful, however, we noticed the foam garnish looked milky. So come to find out dairy was an ingredient. Had to be remade. The scallops were beautiful and delicious (seasoned well) Sadly the vegetables were severely under seasoned. We had ordered oysters as well but did not receive with the appetizers they were served after dinner entree. Due to us having to remind him. But not seasoned or even a squeeze of lemon juice. These are just a few things that we had happen. Mitch was gracious enough to comp us with a delicious dessert to go. Overall kitchen and food good. The Service needed a little extra help. We understand that everyone has good/bad nights. Willing to try again next time we are in town.
I was introduced to The Mont this past month by a good friend, who has now made The Mont his go-to brunch choice, and was totally impressed with the taste and quality of their food! So, I decided to pass along the introduction to another good friend, and we both were smiling with each bite! Here is a pic of The Mont's Mediterranean Scramble with gluten free bread.
We had an amazing dinner here after doing a local wine tasting. The food was expertly prepared and the menu had something for everyone. One of the people in our party is allergic to gluten and Cuvee prepared a gf version of a menu item for her without hesitation. They have a great, reasonably priced wine list. The atmosphere is cozy and casual. Highly recommend!
