The Food was amazing. My steak was perfectly done, just the way I like it. It was so tender, it melted in my mouth. It is especially nice that they have so many gluten free options for my husband who has celiac. Our waitress was wonderful! So attentive and friendly. We really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely go back. I recommend reservations because it is a popular place
I’ve grown up going to Monicals and it has always been the best pizza! I recently went gluten free and the gluten free pizza is also the best I have had! Best place to get pizza in the Northwoods 😊
One of our favorite breakfast places. Nice menu selection with fresh and GF options. Cage free eggs and Neuske bacon. The portions are fairly large, and we can split an omlette, hasbrowns and pancake. There are no plate sharing charges. Choice of potato or fruit and toast or pancake.
The gluten-free pancake tastes like a sweet cream one and is so good! I recommend asking for it well done as it takes longer to cook the center.
Staff is always super friendly and has plenty of seating for large families.
Wow! Found The Wild Boar when searching for someplace that had gluten free options. I had the chicken pesto sandwich with chips as the side and was very impressed with the flavor and portions. Plus, you cannot beat the price! I’ll definitely be back!
The owners waited very patiently while we held a lengthy committee meeting on our preferences. Then quickly produced a great gluten free pizza! While our regular crust pizza was being made, the owner came to show my 28 year old little boy (in photo) the awe inspiring locomotive display. You must behave (don't touch) to be shown the working, lighted, work of art. Definitely worth the visit for pizza and entertainment!
Really great lunch place! I have Celiac and need to eat gluten free. I had no trouble finding options on the menu and settled with the tequila vegetable tacos, rice, and beans which were delicious. The waiter had no trouble helping me with the menu/gf verification and was really nice. (I would recommend not eating the chips if you are gf). We also had some drinks that were great. The waiter brought over a selection of hot sauces for me to try.
We don't live in minocqua, but if you are visiting the area I would definitely come here before something on the main drag.
It's totally remodeled and absolutely beautiful! Go check out the bar made of a single slice of a giant tree stunning. Outside deck and yard area. Burgers and service were good. They have a gluten free bun option. Easy parking and on the main drag, easy to find.
