They have a gluten free menu that was so much more extensive than some big chains. I had choices!! I got the BBQ pork dinner with a baked sweet potato and mixed veggies. The whipped cinnamon butter made my sweet potato feel like i was eating a sweet potato pie! There were choices of ribs, steak and more. Even vegetarian. The staff was super friendly. If you're in Franklin NC, definitely stop here for great BBQ. Thanks Fat Buddies, I rarely get to eat out because of my Celiac's. You helped make my birthday weekend enjoyable.

The best restaurant in Franklin NC. Without a doubt get the shrimp and grits. Best dish in the world. Large selection of desserts and also a gluten free menu. Don’t let the convenience store next door scare you away. 5 star restaurant.

The food is awesome and the menu is diverse for your mood of the day. Excellent pour choices and the coffee is perfect. My wife is allergic to gluten and she had no problems. Any menu item is recommended!

Chicken or Chorizo, Rice, Black Beans, Lettuce, Pico de Gallo, Sour Cream, Cheese, w/house Potato chips and house Roasted Salsa...add Avocado $1.69 Wife had: Chicken BLT Wrap $10.99... Tomato Basil Wrap, Signature chicken tenders, Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Ranch, w/side of house Potato Chips Parking: The cafe has free parking and easily accommodated the lunch time crowd with spaces in the front (including handicap) as well on the side in a lot, and in the back as well. 828 Cafe's appearance from the street is striking!!! It features a mural of a black Bears face with the mountains in the background. It was done (according to website) by an artist friend named Marina who is amazing! Take time to walk around the outside and see all the different scenes she did. Inside: 828 is order-@-the counter and take a seat and in a short bit your food is delivered. Many folks were ordering take-out or picking up orders already called in. If you're into Kombucha they have that too! Food: The Chorizo Bowl was well composed, tasty, healthy, and filling. I would order again unless I decided to go for the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich instead, Lol. My wife really liked the Chicken BLT Wrap. It was plenty of food but light and healthy for lunch. The price point for lunch was good for us. The breakfast menu is worth it if you are there at that time of day. They have great choices of omelettes, french toast, waffles and breakfast bowls with some creative touches and often a Latin twist. Drinks Organic Coffee Drip 12 oz. $2.29 16oz $2.69 refill $1.00 Cold Brew 16 oz. $3.00 Specialty Drinks Kombucha $4.50 kefir Soda $4.50 I highly recommend (and no, I do not know the owners. It's the 1st time we have visited here.) ...we will come back.

Best gluten free pizza I have had in a long time. Owner made sure my dietary needs (gluten and lactose free) we’re met. She was great. My husband had spaghetti and meatballs and loved it. We will definitely be back!

The amazing employees stopped me in drive thru when I ordered a gluten free sandwich wrong. I was so unsure. I asked the person on the way home if that ( the way the employees recommended) was correct and they said yes. I am super appreciative of them taking allergies seriously. Fantastic food. Just be nice a fish place didn't have chicken stock rice as some of us are allergic to chicken. Otherwise fantastic place. Favorite restaurant in town. Just need more options that aren't breaded for those of us with gluten allergies. The breading can't be done and only 4-5 meals without breading. Come on guys.

Had a blast with the fam...pizza was a bit pricey, but it was very good...they even serve gluten free pizza --which was rather yummy...we played putt putt, laser tag and several arcade games...they also have bumper cars, go carts, and an indoor trampoline area, a carousel...hours of fun.. great place to take the entire fam!

Shrimp Curry had lots of nice shrimp with tails off. Could use more basil, garlic, and turmeric. Brown rice not available. Happy to see their brown sauces were gluten-free. Thai Basil Spring Roll needed some interesting sauce; it was basically just a nice variation on salad

We love this place. I have celiacs and this is the only place I feel safe eating. Of course I have to be responsible and order my food without things with gluten in them, but they have always taken good care of us and are conscientious about my order. Never had a bad meal here

These are genuine nice people and the good is amazing. They do gluten free to the best of their abilities and it's amazing. That's their potato, about ten bucks with the toppings I picked and with every penny.

Absolutely amazing Cuban food. Hoping they keep their menu authentic to what they do best - super flavorful, beautifully plated authentic Cuban dishes. I am nervous being tied to the Factory may cause or force them to compromise with adding more pizza and burgers because they should definitely be a stand alone Cuban place in town. By far some of the best food you can get in the area! Our favorites are the Medianoche and Cuban Sandwiches, Havana Chicken Bowl, Palomillo Steak Bowls and the Yucca Bowl. They have several gluten free options which is important for us with food allergies.

There were seats available when I went. The food was served in a decent amount of time. Quality is excellent! I ordered the fried catfish, green beans, sweet potato casserole, potato salad and sweet tea. It was a wonderful meal. Having a gluten allergy, I was careful what I ordered. So come to enjoy this Great Homestyle Restaurant that has been around in this area for years.

What a surprise! Off the main drag, this gem was a treat! We met friends for dinner and a drink. Food was priced well. The menu was varied. And the servings were generous. Something for all of us! Salads, fish, even low gluten (technically not gf) choices for my husband. Definitely going back.
