I was up in Sparta, NJ, and found this delightful Café on a recommendation from Church Mouse Thift. What a surprise of a well-balanced lunch menu. I devoured the lemon dill chicken salad on gluten free croissant. The iced decaf earl grey tea with lavender honey was da bomb! Off the chain amazing! Everything was described perfectly and I wish I could have tried more! Cannot wait to go back for the dinner menu!

The Sparta Classic Diner and Restaurant opened in 2012 & is located at 80 Woodport Road in Sparta, NJ. This family run restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, brunch and dinner every day. They take pride in serving delicious comfort food prepared from scratch, using the freshest, high quality ingredients available. They offer locally grown produce, grass-fed beef & gluten sensitive choices. The Sparta Classic Diner serves breakfast all day, brunch on the weekends & daily specials. Take-out meals, gift cards & a rewards card are welcome options & they have a catering menu, too. The Greek Eggs Kayanas was a delicious choice! It's obvious that the ingredients are fresh because you can taste each one in every bite. This dish has a slight kick to it, too! Despite almost drooling over some of the AMAZING milkshakes, that special treat will have to wait for another visit! Check out their website photos to look at the extensive menu of specialty milkshakes! Sparta Classic Diner was recently honored by NJ.com as #23 out of the top 41 diners in New Jersey. New Jersey is known as the Diner Capital of the World because it's home to approximately 600 diners! If you're in the area, make sure you stop in to enjoy a delicious, classic diner meal!

I love Anthony Franco's of Sparta! The staff is so friendly and kind. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Their gluten free pizza is perfection! Greek salad is so delicious! Chicken parm is also one of my favorite items to order. Great place!!

Be very careful if you are having an event here! I had my daughter's wedding here for two reasons. She liked the quaint atmosphere and they told us they would be able to accommodate us with gluten free food, due to the bride and a few guests having Celiacs. The service at the wedding was sorely lacking and the gluten free food choices that were made ahead of time for the bride and guests were unavailable! I found that to be unacceptable due to the fact that we had to pay extra in order to serve gluten free food! A wedding is a special day and you would hope that your venue could follow simple instructions. I did reach out to the owner to find out how and why this happened but unfortunately she didn't have the common courtesy to get back to me. Very disappointed in Andre's and their lack of customer service.
