Awaze is amazing! 3 of us had the sampler plate, and our tummies were full with some left overs to take home. Injera, homemade here at the restaurant, is soooo soft and delicious. Also, it is gluten free, unlike many other places that put wheat flour in their injera. The Ethiopian tea was also excellent! The floor of the restaurant is so clean and the shiniest I have ever seen! I was moonwalking out, sliding smoothly and effortlessly. The owner was so kind and generous. This is probably the best Ethiopian restaurant I have ever been to thus far. It's truly a hidden gem in a second floor corner of a rundown strip mall, but it is really worth finding it!

Wow! What a great chef and owner. He was friendly and helpful; making whatever we desired. The menus is a bit crazy but after talking with the chef I didn’t even need the menu. Food and service were next level. The chef worked with all my dietary restrictions. Great place if you are complicated. Maybe not great if celiac, but good if you are gluten free, dairy free and soy free like me! I had lamb dosa and vegan las! Soooooo yum!!!!!! The vibe was okay, not great and I wish they didn’t use styrofoam plates and plastic cutlery.

Wow! I ordered the loaded brisket fries + a side of garlic rice (total $20), & I was pleasantly surprised - it was all so delicious! A bit salty as you might expect, but so tasty! I only wish they had gluten free bread so I could try the sandwiches. I'm excited to try the truffle fries, though!

We ordered Dahi Bhalla, Makki roti, tawa roti, Chole Bhature, paneer starter, Methi malai mutter, and one sweet and one salted lassi. All the items were very tasty - dahi bhalla was tangy, makki roti I had for the first time and it was a nice gluten free option. Methi malai mutter was creamy and delicious. Paneer starter was quite a plateful and the mint chutney along with it was nice too! The Waitress was very polite and friendly to us, which made the overall experience quite pleasant. I would definitely recommend this place for someone planning to have Indian food on their birthday or anniversary or a special occasion.
