I am a celiac so fish and chips are a rare treat for me. They do gluten free fish and chips and not only that,they have gluten free vinegar. That's the first chippy I have ever known do gluten free vinegar. Last week was my 5th visit and as always the food was absolutely yummy.

We were in town on a short break and tried to dine at the restaurant one evening not realising they are open 11am-3pm. We went back the next day for lunch and I am so glad we did! From the moment you walk in the staff greet you with a fabulous smile and are so attentive. The service is impeccable. The food has so much flavour and great portion sizes. The best bit is it is so affordable too! I had to tell them that they are better than the London American BBQ restaurants I’m used to which are usually twice the price! Also, as a gluten free diner I found plenty of choice. If I was being picky the only constructive feedback I have is maybe offer a slightly smaller portion of wings, 8 doubles is 16 wings in London terms! And I love a blue cheese dipping sauce for my wings, be great if you added one please. As I said I’m being picky :) Love this restaurant!

Wonderful food. We are both vegetarian and one is also gluten free. The staff were attentive and helpful with choosing dishes. The vegetarian selection is great, lots of mock chicken and roast beef and sauce selections. I had the Tom Yum soup for starters, always a favourite. Cost is very reasonable. Could do with some music (for atmosphere)

*They so Gluten Free!* Wow! Literally the only word I can use, the food and service is absolutely outstanding! The food is amazing and the customer service just adds that whole cherry and cream on the top! We went here after a full day out, they didn’t have tables as it’s booking only. However, realising we were from London, they suggested if we came back in about 45mins and they would have a table for us. We went back and they had a table ready! As we were all Gluten Free, we ordered our food and as it was going to take longer, they bought out an Anti Pasti plate full of delicious bits to keep us going, on the house! The pasta, cooked to perfection and honestly the best GF Arrabiata I’ve ever tasted. It was so good, it’s been over one month since I’ve been and I am planning to go soon just to taste the delicious food and the amazing service! Thank you La Vela, you catered for our needs exceptionally well
