Genuinely pleasantly surprised. Despite the crowds, very smooth and well served by a clearly professional team. I eat gluten-free and vegetarian and that combination often limits my menu options to one dish. But here it turned out to be an adapted menu with 3 gluten-free-vegetarian main courses alone. Back at Carée after three years – and what a party! From the moment we walked in, we immediately felt welcome. The owner is the soul of this business: she cooks with passion and knows how to perfectly convey the flavors of authentic Italy. Each dish is prepared with fresh, pure ingredients – you can taste the love in every bite.
We enjoyed a generous three-course menu that was more than worth the price. Everything was prepared with care and beautifully presented. Also nice: dietary requirements, including gluten-free, are really taken into account.
In short: Carée is truly a culinary Sicilian pearl in Valkenburg. We will definitely be back - and this time not for another three years!

Had dinner here with my husband yesterday...what a delicious pancake it was! 😋 So nice that they also have a gluten vegan here...👍 and then also a lactose-free ice cream!!! TOP!!!😄 It was great!!! Ate with a large group upstairs, food is okay but certainly not special. The small salads as a starter are quite large. Each main course comes with a standard salad with a lot of dressing, actually a waste. The salmon was unfortunately dry and with the pasta with salmon the salmon was not baked, both were disappointing. You also have to pay extra for gluten-free options, it is nice that the options are there but a considerable surcharge.
Ordered gluten free bread for my daughter as she has celiac. It was our first time trying the gluten free option and we were surprised that the bread is like gluten we asked the employee many times and she said it's gluten free. My daughter got some pain but we thought she got a cross contamination somewhere although we are completely gluten free at home. We tried another branch later and the gluten free bread really looks like gluten free so the one at Roermond was a gluten one!
The staff was very helpful with choosing a glutenfree and dairy free dish, and consulted kitchen staff to make sure it really is or to make adjustments. They even had glutenfree bread and glutenfree beer. Lovely experience, very nice staff.
We come to Germany and go there again and again because my wife has to eat gluten-free and then we always take 10 gluten-free cheeseburgers with us and freeze them in the microwave at home and they taste like fresh, UNFORTUNATELY MC DONALDS GERMANY IS NOT GLUTEN-FREE ON OFFER! So for people from the border region who have celiac disease, you can eat a few burgers here and enjoy your meal! 🍔
Perfect spot for dinner with a nice italian flair. The waiters are very nice and professional in their job. They also offer gluten free dishes suitable for celiacs.

Very tasty every time. Start (with antipasto) at the wine bar. A few doors further the main course. Beautiful (Tuscan) dishes, full of love and passion. Beautiful, fresh ingredients. The price has gone up, but definitely worth it. I know few better Italians in the Netherlands. Delicious food costs money. Gluten-free is also sublimely possible.
Choice of pancakes but also hamburgers and other dishes. We did not think the amount of cheese on the pancakes was necessary but otherwise they were tasty pancakes. (Did not know there would be cheese on everything). There was also asparagus soup and asparagus pancakes. Gluten-free was also possible.
Very friendly service and could handle our large group of 16 people well.

I have a gluten allergy and the staff knew enough about that to help me. I gave the atmosphere 4 stars. I didn't find the chairs very comfortable and there was little room for my legs over the table. Price-quality ratio is really great!

At Tasty Thai, gluten-free dishes are clearly indicated on the menu. The service also knew exactly what was and was not possible. For example, they immediately warned about the fish being breaded. The curries were really spicy and that's why we wanted an ice cream, but Tasty Thai doesn't serve desserts.
Staff was very nice.
Gluten free (due to celiac disease) was adhered to and they knew their stuff!
But what is very negative: for two normal burgers (the first on the list at 18.95 each) that were so incredibly dry that the bun fell apart and felt like it had been warmed up again from the day before, two cokes and a small fries with mayo (fries totally greasy) €74.50 is just absolutely cheeky! Not again!
We’re from Spain and we came on vacation and saw this restaurant which offers gluten free options. We ordered the cheese hamburguers and the crispy chiken one and they were amazing! If you visit Maastricht you have to come here🫶🏻
Best pancake house ever! Really tasty pancakes. And we are not the easiest guests since two of us have to eat gluten-free, and that is no problem here. And the gluten-free pancakes are also super tasty. The service is also very neat and a paradise for children!
Very nice concept and especially great if you have to eat gluten-free. There is a special section on the ordering tablet with gluten-free dishes, so that they are immediately entered into the kitchen as gluten-free. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The food was delicious and the wine was good 👌🏻. Highly recommended!

A beautifully decorated and attractive branch of the Beren in a great location on the N281 near the Roda JC Stadium with ample free parking in front of the door. The food is good and the service is friendly. The portions are also sufficient, although more vegetables could be included as standard instead of at an additional cost. And for example, something like baked potatoes or potatoes with butter instead of just fries as a side dish. For the rest, certainly top notch and also in terms of allergens, everything is clearly stated on the allergen card. I have a gluten intolerance myself and I had a good meal here.
One of our favorite restaurants. Pizza taco is absolutely recommended and very tasty. Also many gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options including the pizza taco.
Excellent tenderloin, lovely ambiance by the water and friendly personnel.
I had to skip the French fries but otherwise gluten free is no problem.
The music was a little boring to my taste but that notion didn't produce any traction in present company.

Two peacocks are also sitting nearby.

Ate at Mallejan yesterday. Friendly service, with an extensive menu that also includes gluten-free dishes from starter to dessert. In short, highly recommended!
All you can eat concept with a nice atmosphere and attentive staff with a warm attitude. Also, a la carte options available. There are gluten-free options on the menu and the staff is knowledgeable. The location is good. Prices are very low when you think of the quality and the amount you can eat. Weekend prices differ for the all-you-can-eat.
The owner takes all food allergies seriously and she does her best for people on a diet. This was the first restaurant where I was very thoughtfully given a gluten-free cookie with tea after dinner. The fries are fried separately here and are served in a large cone. We drank a glass of delicious Limburg white wine with our fish. Be sure to eat at this restaurant if you are in the area, or just make a special visit!
It was completely full and very cozy, but also very noisy. The sound isn't really absorbed by curtains or anything. Things got a lot better when a few tables were empty. The service was very good and friendly and we were especially happy that our granddaughter, who has to eat gluten-free, could actually make the same choices as we did.
Enjoy camping this week at the Gastmolen campsite (May holiday 2022). Got pizza today at Bellissima in Vaals. Our daughter has celiac disease (gluten allergy) so we went looking for a gluten-free pizza for her... and found it! What a treat she had again. The pizza baker certainly knew what he was talking about and prepared all pizzas with fresh ingredients. The base comes from Schar and is baked on an aluminum base plate, so that no cross-contamination occurs. In fact, (almost) all types could be ordered gluten-free... what do you do with that? The non-gluten-free pizza was also fantastic, so highly recommended for the whole family (or company).
Absolutely beautiful location and excellent food. This is a take your time kind of place. Do not plan to rush. We got a pitcher of lemonade for the table and I highly recommend. Very nice gluten free options.
Yes, if you don't have too high expectations. As is usual with cheaper options, the rice portion in the sushi is a bit larger than expected. However, it's positive that gluten-free soy sauce is available upon request. Grilled meats – there's something for every taste. It's more challenging for people with allergies and intolerances, but you won't go hungry. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
Delicious glutenfree and vegan options. E.g. to a soup you can order a glutenfree bread or to fries you can exclude spices which include gluten. Also really helpfull service and a nice view.
We had dinner at Restaurant Cuba Libre last Saturday. Our daughter has a gluten allergy and the owner was very helpful in this. Very helpful and thoughtful. The food was superbly arranged. A young owner with a lot of passion for the food, but also for the people in the restaurant. That is why Restaurant Cuba Libre is 100% recommended.

There is something for everyone on the menu, I have tasted all the dishes and I like everything. Savings system is what they have is great! Also plenty of gluten-free options.
The only pity is that payment can only be made by PIN and I personally think that is a shame and absolutely not possible.

We started with a Cava, soon followed by a delicious fresh soup.
The choice of sweet and savoury - divided over two rounds - was more than sufficient and tasty. You could drink delicious cold Orange Juice and various types of tea without limits, as well as coffee if desired.
Extra compliments for the gluten-free snacks: excellent! We were able to dine for more than two hours.
Everything was well taken care of, the service staff very friendly and attentive, regularly asking if everything was to your liking. And the price? Very fair!
In short: five stars, richly and richly deserved!!
Enjoyed a delicious (gluten-free) breakfast on the attractive terrace. The service is also smooth and very friendly. It has a fun and varied playlist of music, which really improves the atmosphere. Also not very important as far as we are concerned. Next time we will go for the slightly more extensive 'Ver'koch' breakfast.
