Go here if you are coeliac. Trust me! The food is wonderful, staff are very attentive and knowledgeable about the need for gluten free food and what is on their menu. I’ve been twice in the past few weeks and had a gorgeous full sized pizza and sea bass on another visit. Had gluten free cheesecake which was real good 😊

Friendly pub with rooms in small pretty village. Room very carefully and tastefully decorated, very clean and well provisioned. Excellent gluten free options on the bar menu and knowledgeable staff able to adapt. Best cooked breakfast ever offered, kept us full all day!

Really enjoyed the Nelson for lunch. Had the fish and chips and my partner had the Venison. Been going on and off for 10+years and I've seen different menus different owners maybe staff or both. In the past food would seesaw and the atmosphere could be dark and dingy. Now and the past year I've been twice and it's such a brighter welcoming place. The staff are very helpful, especially for me being gluten free. The menu is impressive /solid without being pretentious or too basic. Plenty of classics but done impressively well. Definitely will be coming back in future. P.s ( Any waiter/waitress that can give me a wine/alcohol pairing recommendation with my meal is very much appreciated so kudos to the blond lady who did as much.).
