I really appreciated the gluten free fish & chips! The coleslaw was raw cabbage with some dressing drizzled on- I was hoping for something a little more prepared. My partner's flatbread was excellent.
I love this restaurant! The food is amazing and I love that they have some gluten free options. However, it can get very noisy and that makes it hard to each other during dinner. Also, it is very pricey. I like to go for happy hour. Saves the bank and it is not as busy.
all the coffee here is pretty good, but their gluten free breakfast sandwich is my FAVORITE!! made in a separate facility, cooked on the paper wrapper (so no direct contact with shared oven surfaces), and delicious. they've got gluten free egg bites, scones, and monster cookies too if that's more your speed. my default coffeeshop as a celiac!
Ono is freaking delicious! I tried the scallops and traditional ahi with rice, salad, and edamame. The flavor and quality of the fish is incredible. Anyone complaining about the price- they give you an impressive amount; definitely worth it for the quality and freshness.
One thing I noticed is the seaweed salad says "gluten free" but is actually gluten reduced. Or at least that's how the team members described it at the counter.
TLDR: go here, phenomenal!
Delicious and high quality Italian food. Great service. I appreciate the gluten free options as well. We’ve had both dinners and lunches here and the restaurant really comes alive at night with the candles on the tables. The limited parking is a challenge, but we just opt for takeout when that happens.
Fantastic place! Chill vibes, ambient atmosphere, and beautiful setting with a great menu. I went all in on comfort food with their cucumber salad and pork belly nachos. So good. The menu offered so many options for gluten free, I was pleasantly surprised.
Our server was super helpful and attentive, too!
Highly recommend this place.
Gluten free crust is AMAZING, my spouse is celiac & loves it. Crunchy.
I order The Brooklyn Bridge, regular dough, extra sauce, xtra sausage & light bake. I once worked in a pizza kitchen, this is a big ask on top of a light bake pie. The last few times I ordered it, it’s been (chef’s kiss) perfect. Thanks for bringing home some good pizza!
If you are a foodie, this is your place! Rotating menu with unique specials, such as Garbanzo PR Pastel, smoked albacore santiago sandwich. Cubano is amazing! Also, take care of gluten free and vegetarian folks! Local ciders and beers. Thanks Conor!
We came here for a birthday celebration. We were excited to come here because we had gone to the Capitol Hill location. We got there early so we could get a table, and had a nice dinner. It’s a nice restaurant to have in downtown Edmonds. There is gluten-free pasta if you need to make your order gluten-free.
I visited this place for the first time for my mom’s birthday! We ran about an hour late and they were very accommodating. The atmosphere is really nice, our server was such a sweetheart and so kind and professional and attentive. My mom has celiacs disease and it’s not easy for her to dine out, but our server was kind enough to tweak the sides to her steak so she could have an awesome bday meal!!!!
He also gave us a complimentary dessert. The food is so delicious guys it’s worth the price times a thousand. The steak is to die for & calamari was fresh and the aioli was so yummy. I could have eaten like 5 servings of the fish. Absolutely delicious and 10/10 will definitely be back many times.
Lovely, helpful service (even despite our multiple strange requests) and a very nice, cute ambiance. They have lots of pretty lighting. The food is very good. Gluten free and vegetarian options. I got the chicken mole and it was delicious and filling with some leftovers for tomorrow!
Speaking as a true northern woman- this place has THE coffee!!! Best coffee and gluten free baked goods I've ever had. Literally. I believe I had an oatmilk or hemp milk latte. My mom and I had to come over to Seattle regularly from Port Townsend for my cancer treatments and coming to this cafe because a fun ritual that we seriously needed and looked forward to! Don't change anything Walnut Street cafe, you are amazing.
Asked for gluten free from the gluten free menu. As it’s an allergy . Had gluten and got the shits for the next few hrs. If you can’t commit to it being gluten free then don’t offer a gluten free option
We went here for an impromptu dinner the other night. Atmosphere is nicer than a sports bar, but more casual than a traditional seafood restaurant, there are TVs and stuff for sports watching and we appreciated the approachability of it considering we came in athletic wear looking for a quick dinner. We started with clams in the white wine sauce which was delicious. I got the blackened salmon ceasar, and my boyfriend got the salmon entree (the mashed potatoes on here were amazing). The salmon ceasar was exactly what i was looking for taste wise, the blacked crust on the salmon was amazing and i recommend requesting if you were to get the entrée (it is just a normal baked finish for the entree rather than having a blackened crust - "char broiled" was not at all what it seemed or tasted like). One note is that I felt like half my fish was very dry and fishy towards the end and i got a bone in it (the first half was fine so I'm not sure what happened there) and the ceasar dressing pooled at the bottom which made the bottom of the salad not as appetizing. I would just ask for he dressing on the side to help with that and I would still recommend the fish even with that weirdness. We've also had wraps there before and they were also delicious. The pricing here is lofty expect to spend 30 to 50 per person with a drink even if you weren't to get seafood. Good happy hour and gluten free option on the menu
Gluten free French toast special. If you don’t want it juicy, leave off the strawberry compote. I loved the blueberry, banana fruit toppings and fresh whipped cream. I added a pkg of sugar in the raw to the fruit and it was perfect.
Jackie was our waitress and she was great. Clean and nice atmosphere. I’d go here again.
Update: they handled the situation much better the next day and I understand there was a break down in communication. I want to still be angry about it, but they took responsibility and I can tell they honestly felt bad. The food is also really good. I would eat here again, but I would be hesitant to take anyone with food allergies.
DO NOT EAT HERE IF YOU ARE CELIAC. My sister is celiac and this place popped up as having gluten free options. We called to confirm and the woman who answered the phone said everything was gluten free. Once we placed the order, we called again to confirm that they were aware of that as there was no place to put it in the notes: the woman once again reiterated that all their food was gluten free. We get the order and eat and an hour later my sister is vomiting and in extreme pain. There is no other chance she got sick from something else as this was the only thing she ate besides safe foods she brought herself. Do not eat here if you are celiac. They are either not educated in allergens or they do not care enough to tell the truth.
Pretzel was incredible! -- One of the best I ever had! And the coconut curry chowder was so delicious (gluten-free and diary free if you are interested). Whole crew was kind, helpful, efficient. Highly recommend if you are looking for a casual place to enjoy good food and a beer. 5 stars, easy. Thank you!
I like this place. For its class it’s good Pizza is always from good ingredients, quite tasty. It’s something between Chicago and New York pizza. They have gluten free options which are good quality. I tried multiple pizzas here garlic chicken , pepperoni , vegetables. All we good. The stuff is responsive. Typically they make pizza in 20 minutes , 30 minutes of you call when they are just open. No place inside to eat , just taking our.
They can make almost all their dishes gluten free! It's our go-to Thai restaurant in Edmonds (ok, yes, we eat here or get take out almost weekly...) :) Always happy with our food, and the staff is wonderful!
This restaurant is such a gem. They have the best gluten free pizza crust I have ever had! Went last night with a couple friends and enjoyed great cocktails, salad, and pizza. I will definitely be bringing the family back!
I ate the spicy udon drunken noodles with 3 stars and it was so yummy! The owners are charming and funny and they have gluten free dishes using green papaya instead of noodles. They have a full bar. Their location is awesome. You can get food here while in the ferry line. If you have never tried a Japanese toilet you need to check it out. They also have tea presses for fresh brewed tea. They have boozy bears, which are kinda like jello shooters.
Went here for the first time this morning with 2 of my girlfriends! We sat outside in the sunshine, they brought us our food outside and I am gluten free and they had the best gluten free options and even gave us a sampling of a few gf bakery items! I will for sure be going back!
Walk up and order. It's so nice to sit outside in the summer. They have heaters for colder days. The gluten-free crispy chicken sandwich is great! However, the bill adds up quick, the food is worth it.
Fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic environment. My wife and I accidentally stumbled in dressed extremely casually with our toddler in tow. They seated us immediately and we ended up with a lovely table that had full view of the beautiful sunset. Around 1/3 of the menu was clearly marked as gluten free and the food marked gluten free spanned a wide variety of styles. The food was wonderful. The service was great. They had a terrific pianist playing live music. While seated a few Marilyn Monroe movies tastefully projected onto the wall.
In the future we would probably prefer getting a baby sitter and enjoying this lovely place without the kiddo but that is just our preference as the restaurant was quite accommodating to kids.
Can't recommend this place enough!
Great place for shakes and fries if you're gluten free! Before I went on the diet they had AMAZING burgers! Such a friendly vibe and they take care of their employees!
Toppings were fresh and tasty with fun remixes on classic pizzas like almond slices and coconut shavings on their Hawaiian pizza. The gluten free crust that we specifically wanted to try unfortunately came out quite hard and bland tasting along the outaide of the crust, as hard as hardtack. The cheese was tasty and stringy but we felt that it could use just a touch more, and putting cheese up to the edge might help reduce the overcooking on the gluten free crust. The inside of the Edmond's location only really offers takeout, as there is no seating inside besides what is offered for people waiting to pickup an order.
Speaking of picking up, I had to wait just a few extra minutes before my pizza was done. I ordered our two 14" gluten free pizzas at 7:45 with the estimate for the pizza to be ready was given at ~8:10. I arrived late at 8:20 and still waited just a few more minutes to get my pizza.
If the gluten free crust takes longer to prepare or bake I would rather have a more accurate estimate right off the bat as half an hour seems like a reasonable estimate anyway.
Good tasting food, poor but not unacceptable estimate for pickup and generally not a place to eat in, but I assume most people are not expecting to anyway.
Expected more from this place I’d heard such great things about. Super disappointed that they had no gluten-free bread options (were told management thought it was too expensive). Fruit bowls were 95% melon with a measly slice of strawberry—for the price would’ve expected a few berries at least! Water for tea was not hot enough to steep the tea bag. Friend ordered sausage and got bacon. Servers were friendly but in general, not on their game and food was just fine. Not worth the $$ IMO.
Food was amazing! I have Celiac, so I got the Coconut Curry and the green chili polenta fries. Everything was so good! Our service wasn't the best, I ran out of water and didn't get refilled until we were leaving.
I haven't been to a Denny's in several decades but I stopped in for breakfast waiting for a craft shop to open. It took me awhile to figure out the modern menus but was impressed with the focus on dietary needs and nutritional factors. I discovered some senior options on the last page. I was very pleased with a 2 egg omlet with grilled onions, tomatoes and cheese, hashbrowns and the gluten free English muffin option. My server was very conscientious and asked all the appropriate questions as to how I chose to have the food/drink delivered. My only negative observations are that the menu prices are difficult to find and the coagulated jam comes in those takeaway packets. Perhaps next time I'll ask for peanut butter and honey and see what happens.
Loved it and the plants in the patio! Incredible food! 😋 Make reservations. Gluten free options and vegetarian choices. One of the greatest finds in Edmonds! Locals will hate me revealing this place! The BEST date night on the patio even if it is busy. All you know is your partner and the food and the ambiance of lovely plants. A birthday celebration was going on and it didn't matter, couples all on dates some with spouses, just enveloped in their selves! Great service!
