Gluten free options are available here! They truly are accommodating and rhe food was good. I ordered the Alfredo with GF pasta and it came with a Caesar salad. Pretty yum! I'll go back when I'm in Washington again to try the pizza! Great staff as well. Thanks for adding a smile to my day after I had to makile an unexpected visit to Washington to take my grandad to the hospital.

High tea at the Hackney on Saturday afternoon cannot be beat! I have to eat gluten free and the chef graciously prepared many of the items (biscuits, cake, sandwiches) with a fantastic gluten free flour. The chocolate was of the highest quality and the chef confirmed it was of French origin. The staff went out of their way to make sure our group was taken care of and I appreciated it immensely! I'm from eastern NC and am so happy that a restaurant of this caliber is in Washington and seems to be very popular.

Overpriced for the quality of food. We ordered the stuffed Mahi and the steak for our main and shrimp appetizer. The shrimp we ordered grilled to be gluten-free. They tasty dirty with little flavor besides the sauce that it came with. The Mahi was ok, a little bland. The stuffing was good. The risotto was terrible. Lazy and rushed. Mushy, but somehow al dente. Very bland; it tasted like watery white rice, maybe a hint of garlic. Not creamy and infused with flavor like it's supposed to be. My husband ordered the steak meal. For a $50 steak meal, he expected more. He described it as having no flavor other than salt, and the sauce on top tasted like a burnt grill top. The cut of steak was fatty and full of gristle. He barely ate half. He thought the potatoes and green beans were good, though. Matcha latte was too sweet; tons of sugar crystals at the bottom of mug. He also ordered a double chocolate mini cake that he really liked. A friend ordered the fried chicken sandwich, which looked good. He said it was tasty and the aioli on it was really good. Looking at the menu beforehand and making reservations, I expected more of an elevated experience. The vibe was that of a bar/bakery. Better suited for brunch/lunch or casual dinner. If we went again, it'd probably be for lunch or more of a casual dinner, like burgers and such. I appreciated all the gluten-free options and them being clearly labeled! Lastly, our waitress was sweet and attentive!
