Always love coming here. One of the favorites at Seneca. Carol is fantastic and made some great recommendations. Will definitely be back. Great gluten free menu options too!
Food was fresh and wonderful everything is handmade so don’t be in a rush. Bring a jacket they keep it cool on the inside. Gluten free pizza was wonderful.
Our 2nd trip to Halsey's...they do a great job serving gluten free foods. Staff is knowledgeable in the importance of allergies to gluten. Ambience is lovely, restaurant had a lively buzz of conversation. Our family group of 7 enjoyed several menu choices. We've agreed to make Halsey's a great place to meet up.
I was served scallops on bread after ordering a GLUTEN FREE MEAL and being reassured by the SERVER that it was GLUTEN FREE. They then decided to charge me FULL PRICE after saying they would take money off of the bill. REAL GREAT RESTAURANT- NOT 😑
My favorite area diner. Unexpected gem in a tiny town. Allergy friendly for those with gluten/dairy allergies. Very accommodating. Creative twists on classic diner fare. Farm to table. Locally sourced meats. Homemade jam and baked goods. The “Tam Jam” is the best strawberry jam around!
Stopped in here for a quick snack while I was doing some shopping and I’m so glad I did! I was greeted warmly, and when I couldn’t decide what smoothie I was in the mood for, they offered me some other options. They were helpful when I asked what kind of hemp seeds they use, as I was checking to see if they were gluten free. I got the tropical smoothie with hemp seeds and it hit the spot!
My mom and I visited Asempe Kitchen for the first time during Apple Fest 2024 and will definitely be back! The owner was warm, inviting, and accommodating and our experience was delightful! We each got a little bit of everything they had to offer that day and felt nourished and full when we left. The food was vegan and gluten free and much appreciated!
Great atmosphere and staff. And for a decent price. Also, this is the first place that doesn't charge extra for gluten-free rolls! Both my wife and I ordered the burgers, and both of us couldn't finish all that was served. I tried because it was sooooo good!
We’ve been going here for years for birthday cakes and desserts for office functions and have never been disappointed! Their gluten-free and dairy-free chocolate cake with espresso frosting is our favorite!
Char puts chipotle to shame. Great ingredients, fast, and VERY reasonable. This is my top place to go and recommend for quick, affordable, and delicious. Gluten free and vegan options, and their meats are AWESOME. A staple in Geneva.
They were so passionate, clear, patient and I discovered sweet wines that i absolutely love. Not to mention their grape vodka that is gluten free! Just awesome!
We stop every time we go through town. Service is awesome and they have an outstanding variety to choose from including gluten free, dairy free, etc. One of our most favorite places to go, hands down.
Communication goes all the way. We weren’t greeted at the door for several minutes. When we were, a waitress told us we could be seated. Immediately following by, who I assume was the manager, someone told us if we didn’t have a reservation we couldn’t be seated due to “being down two people.” I’ve been in customer service all of my adult life; if you would’ve told me at the door or by a sign on the door that we couldn’t receive service without a reservation I would’ve understood. When we got to our table, the waitress, who seemed very disinterested and upset, left the table soaking wet. I dried it myself. The bartender, who was very kind, helped us after we waited another ten minutes. Finally, I can only eat gluten free food and the only reason I came here was because they have gluten free pasta on the menu. After having one drink the bartender informed me they were “out of gluten free pasta.” I get being understaffed and full to capacity but I’d recommend a bit better communication and customer service skills if you’re trying to maintain a business.
Also if you check someone else’s bad review; the restaurant responded in probably the most unprofessional way I’ve ever seen. Disappointing.
We were so excited to dig in we didn’t get photos until our cocktails for dessert. Food was phenomenal, great personal service, warm and cozy atmosphere. Both the server and kitchen were happy to accommodate a gluten allergy and talk us through all the dietary options on the menu. Plus they have a gluten free friendly fryer!
Chicken wings, gochujang fries, burgers and fish tacos as well as a variety of cocktails and a few glasses of wine. All were phenomenal!
We can’t wait to come back
