Delightful! Minsky's is a Kansas City institution, and this is one of the best locations. Great food, excellent service, great place to watch the big game. Excellent gluten-free and dairy-free options.
Brilliant breakfast! Great staff, and greater food. Lots of excellent gluten free options, and you can't tell the difference. Seasonal drinks and mimosas, to compliment a clever menu, all made with care.
Had a great experience today with Raymon as our waiter. He was patient with my parents who had trouble hearing. He checked on us an appropriate amount of times, never made us feel rushed, and he was just exceptional. He reassured my stepmom on her GF meal more than once. She has celiacs so is extra careful on this!
We enjoyed the blackened red fish, salmon with sweet potato fries, and Pat’s Ribeye. Sweet tea was delicious too!
PROs: Great staff. Sarah, waitress, was kind and attentive to us. Indoor dining with bar. Place looks small but the establishment extends towards the back. Arrived 5:45 p.m. and had 10-15 mins wait. The food was great. The bread appetizer was just as good. There's not an up charge for gluten free option.
CONs: Upfront parking on the square can be a challenge. Reservation could've gotten us in sooner but I didn't think before 6pm would be a problem.
Approx $65 (with tip) we ordered Gluten Free Linguini with clams and Shrimp & Scallop Alfredo. I didn't use flash photography to respect other diners nearby.
Great staff and ambience! We never feel rushed when we hang out here for delicious tea/coffee and one of their pastry treats. The apple cinnamon scones are excellent heated up. They offer gluten-free treats, too. Best yet, when you drink coffee or tea in-house, they serve it in 'real' stoneware/pottery mugs that are all unique vs. disposable cups that some other coffee shops use when you're staying in to enjoy! Overflow can get quite busy and full at times, but wait just a few minutes, and usually a table opens up or spots at their 6-person table. Highly recommended!
We love Josh and Sherry and how personal their pizza shop is. They have gluten free and cauliflower crust options at reasonable prices. Tons of pizza options and will make to order too. We grab pizzas for our quarterly meetings and everyone is happy every time!!
This place was amazing! The best BBQ I’ve ever had and the service by Amanda G. was great. She and the staff were so accommodating for our large group, a couple of the guys from the back even came up to help us figure out what to order for a gluten free individual in our group. Great experience and even better food! I’d recommend this place to anyone who wants great BBQ!
Lately, any time I order, my tortillas are burned. This time, my husband went and he is 100% certain he ordered a gluten free tortilla (because he knows I'm sensitive to gluten) and unless they have changed their recipe, this is NOT a gluten free tortilla - I've ordered it plenty of times to know, it's usually a different color and texture. Additionally, it is cold when it's supposed to be a grilled wrap and it was barely grilled at all. And they had signage up from last week's special and he thankfully noticed that what was rang up didn't match but how many people have ordered the special thinking they were getting one thing and they got another? I used to love this place but lately its been super disappointing.
The food was awesome, and you got plenty of it. Prices were very reasonable. Our waiter was top-notch. Would have liked to see gluten-free indicators on the menu as they had vegan and local favorites selections.
Great food. They also sometimes give extra food when ordering gluten free. Sometimes we end up with more than 3 fingers when ordering a "naked" 3 finger combo. Bread really good, sauce really good, chicken really good, sweet tea really good (I like "southern sweet" sweet tea), fries are decent, but could use more seasoning.
Enjoyed the afternoon, having drinks & charcuterie with girlfriends I used to work with. The cold brew coffee was a perfect afternoon pick me up. The charcuterie boards were delicious and made gluten free.
Great fries and good burgers. I feel spoiled with the burger toppings selection compared to other burger joints. If you didn't know, you can order a light amount of a topping. I do this all the time with onions and it prints out this way on the ticket.
A regular burger will have two patties whereas the Junior has one. I'm usually good with the Junior burger, but will get the regular when really hungry. My wife and I usually split a regular fries. Since they don't have onion rings or other breaded items, their fries are safe if you are gluten sensitive. I wish they would offer a gluten free bun, but they will serve the burger in a lettuce wrap or bunless in a bowl.
They have really good shakes. A little too good. Great. Now I want a shake.
Based on how well they do with a burger, I would love if they offered a chicken sandwich. I tried their grilled cheese, which was okay, but needed beef. I also tried their hot dog, which I didn't care for as much (just a flavor preference).
I fill out their survey with the hopes that they will someday change the hand soap in the bathroom. It is so strong smelling, which when you are eating something with your hands, the smell can be off putting.
