My friends and I were on a ladies' trip to Maine. One of our close friends in the group goes several times every year.
Recently, we visited this restaurant on the recommendation of a close friend. While she was initially very disappointed with some of the recent menu changes, our experience was saved—and truly elevated—by our incredible server, Tracey. This just reinforces that servers really make the restaurant. From the moment we sat down, she was warm, knowledgeable, and impressively attentive. I have celiac disease, which often makes dining out stressful, but she immediately put me at ease. Not only were they well-informed about gluten-free options, but they also took the time to double-check with the kitchen and offered thoughtful suggestions to ensure I had a safe and satisfying meal. Her level of care and attention went above and beyond what I’ve experienced at most places. Despite the changes my friend wasn’t thrilled with, the server’s attitude, flexibility, and genuine effort completely turned our evening around. It’s rare to come across someone so dedicated to making sure every guest feels comfortable, heard, and valued. This kind of service is what turns a meal into a memorable experience. We’ll definitely be back—and next time, I’ll be requesting the same server! Can’t wait for our next trip!
Had a quick stop for a sandwich.
Had the six wives salad.. amazing
Also had a wrap with avocado and turkey. Definitely recommend.
They also had gluten free bread for my daughter!
Delicious barbecue in Maine! Plenty of options for meat-atarians, vegetarians and they have gluten-free items too. The seats are not that comfortable, but they make up for it with excellent food and drinks. The service was attentive and very pleasant.
Was ok. Good choice of beers and whiskeys by nothing you won't find any where else. Nothing different or hard to find. GLUTEN FREE options for food. Got buffalo dip and was pretty good.
Got a flight of 4 whiskeys with a decent pour to them for $17. Thursday is lobster roll day. Unfortunately wasnt there for that.
Lobster stew was good but they're seafood chowder is better. The salad bar is unbelievable offering an expansive choice of items, including soups, Middle Eastern food and gluten-free items.
An enjoyable lunch that I’ve been looking forward to. Broiled haddock with scallops. Requested double broccoli in lieu of potato side. Also requested gluten free option (usually comes with a crumb topping). Meal was pleasant and the cost was reasonable.
Food is good, I suggest you may want to check out deserts, too. Not the quickest service but nice atmosphere. Certainly recommend checking out. Gets pretty busy in the evenings and many vegetarian/nut free/ gluten free options to choose from.
They have a gluten free roll so it was nice to have a sandwich as apposed to a salad every time. Would visit again. No seating inside but a couple of picnic tables were available for use. Made a picnic out of it.
