Gluten-free batter! But that’s just the start of it. Don’t be fooled by the unassuming appearance and size of the place - this is a brilliant little chippy with a huge menu (Stilton sauce!)
Plus the owner and staff are great - they were working their way through an order for 15 when we got there, and were still very quick.

Fantastic pub. We are a family of 4 and chose to eat here. The restaurant was full, we didn't book, but they accommodated in the bar area which was spacious. One of our boys is gluten free and they had a gf pizza for him. We all had pizza and wasn't disappointed. They were huge hence the price but they boxed up the leftovers.
The young lad behind the bar was spot on as was the selection of ales.
We had a short visit to Matlock and ate at this Bistro. The portions were very generous, well cooked and of high quality. The service and ambiance were both good and we would definitely recommend it for its value, warm welcome, and menu (including gluten free). Lots of variety at a reasonable price. Suggest you try it.
We enjoyed our visit to the park, the cafe was a bonus for us, as the catered for people with a gluten free diet. Staff are pleasant and helpful.

Another wonderful lunch, fantastic food if you enjoy something different. I really enjoyed the Japanese inspired Amuse bouche, it was gorgeous. Attentive staff and a dream for coeliacs.
Exceptional good value. Small fish chips and peas only £7.70 to eat in! Portion was a good size for the average appetite. Formica tables. No frills but very good value for money. They also do gluten free. I would recommend.
