The food is fantastic! I love that they offer a gluten free bun that is delicious and not just something that will suffice. The service is wonderful! As far as atmosphere, it's aesthetically so great, it's just a little loud with the music and people talking loudly over the music. The food is so great, though, I'll definitely be back!
So happy to see that you do a gluten free menu as my daughter is coeliac and sometimes it’s hard to find somewhere that caters to her! Food was delicious and service was excellent
Brilliant evening, lovely food and thank you to the manager Chloe who helped a family member who is gluten intolerant and gets very nervous eating out!
Fantastic host!
Delicious food. Plenty of great options for those who are both vegan and can't eat gluten which is rare. Would definitely become a regular if I lived here. Service warm and very attentive.
Lovely meal, but particularly impressed by the service from our waiter, Charlie N. We asked about coeliac friendly options and he was very clued in, went to speak to the kitchen to double check out options. Very reassuring to see that, really instills confidence. Food was very tasty and well presented.
We have just had the
2x gluten free fish and chips
1x gluten free battered sausage and chips
1x battered sausage and chips
1xfish cake and chips
One word amazing and the portion size of chips are very generous as well..
We will definitely be back
A real gem in Hereford. Varied, imaginative and inclusive menu suitable for gluten free and vegetarian diets. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. You will need to book, this is a very popular place. We never go anywhere else now, love it!
We had an incredible 3 course meal created by the chef, Alice! My meal was created gluten free, which they’d prepared ingredients for in advance! To eat a gluten free, incredible, authentic Italian meal was such an amazing enjoyable experience! I would recommend Ponte Vecchio to anyone and will be looking forward to returning to try more of Alice’s inspiring menu!
Went through the usual rigmarol of saying that I'm Coeliac and allergic to diary (seriously - it's not a fad). Ordered soup - when it arrived in a very shallow bowl with a burnt gluten free roll and diary butter was told to "enjoy": Had to ask for a spoon... Note to staff - if you really want customers it's best to listen to them and treat them well - as you would want to be - surely?
It does what it says on the tin
Great if you're coeliac too. My only issue is, when you order your food via the app in the restaurant, it asks you do you want to give a tip. Well no, we haven't had the good yet or anything. The service and food could be awful. Ask for a tip at the end! I think it's very unfriendly to order food using an app. If prefer a waiter/waitress take my order. For the price you pay, you do ll the work placing the order.
We had the worst breakfast this morning as a very rare treat for my partner. No gluten free option due to a broken dryer and both my gluten free bread and my partners sourdough were burnt mine tasted like charcoal and his was black and rock hard. Poor breakfast and unprofessional chef came out to complain she didn’t know what my bread order was but still managed to get my partners order wrong as he did not ask for sourdough and also got given mushrooms when he had asked for none. Very disappointing will not be returning.
Nice atmosphere and super friendly service. Tasty food. Very wide selection for gluten free options, one let down was very small vegan menu: 1 starter, 2 mains and 1 dessert available. Would be great to have more plant based variety.
Visited a few times over last few years.
Food is always delicious, fresh, well presented.
Couple who run it are a friendly and engaging team - they said they also run a food night at their local pub, weekly maybe.
Choice of food without dairy and low gluten, wheat free options, makes it an easy place for me to visit. I think I spoke to them about allergies etc. previously, and they were happy to help, which makes it easier to keep coming back.
Really great experience at Cotto last night! Being coeliac with dairy and egg intolerance I did not expect a lot in an Italian restaurant but I've had a fantastic 3-course meal, including seafood salad, pasta & sausage ragu (the ragu was amazing) and surprisingly a dessert - chocolate ice-cream with vegan whipped cream and blackcurrant compote😋
My husband's 'regular' dishes were very tasty too . We loved the vibe of this place - it feels like a modern Italian place in London - it has the buzz, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable and they have a good selection of wines and other alcohol too. Highly recommend it!
Was visiting Hereford to help some litigant in person parents at Hereford Justice centre, which is just across the road so a nice positive venue to meet people before or after attending Hereford Justice Centre. The Mocha was lovely, Gluten free chocolate brown was lovely and a must for chocolate lovers. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and the place has a lovely independent coffee shop vibe. From people watching, it seemed to attract customers with a positive energy. Will be back for sure
