Had an amazing gluten free chicken burger in really nice bun with chips and coleslaw. I have to say the staff were really very understanding and no question or concern was too much. I really appreciate their willingness to answer any question. Service food drinks ambience can’t complain. They even brought a new mayo unopened so no risk of contamination. Thank you!!!
Oh my goodness, where do I even start? Lusso is hands down the best Italian restaurant I’ve ever eaten at. The food was absolutely insane. I had the lasagne, my friends had pizza, and every single bite was pure heaven. The portions? Huge—you will not leave hungry!
The lasagne was rich, cheesy, and the layers were perfect, with just the right balance of sauce, pasta, and melt-in-your-mouth goodness. And the pizza? Crispy, cheesy, and just unreal. (Even the Gluten Free Pizzas are incredible).
Highly recommend The strawberry sorbet too - a great way to finish the meal.
To top it all off, the owner is an absolute legend. You can tell he truly cares about the food and his guests, making the experience even more special. If you love Italian food, you need to go to Lusso. You won’t regret it!

They also have a gluten free menu which is great, lots of options.
I’ve rarely had to book.
Had lunch here and the servers were absolutely lovely, as was the food. Lots of options for you to make your own preferences and a menu for gluten free also. Highly recommend

This place is great! Serves pizza slices in squares or conventional round pizzas, all made in the shop and really nice. Can do gluten free bases too, great coffee, pasta and lots of other Italian bits and bobs. Proper locally-run business not a chain, lovely food and service, highly recommend!
The most gorgeous cafe right on the river! I’ve been there sooo many times and every time the service was fantastic and the food was delicious. The staff are brilliant with gluten free too - lots of choice and super tasty! In fact, I went for afternoon tea and they produced an ENTIRELY gluten free platter, of which everything was home made! Absolutely love it here, thanks so much! Xx
Stopped for a drink unfortunately I am coeliac so gluten free. Only beer on offer is bottled peroni at £5.60. There are several pubs with draft gluten free beer locally where a pint is cheaper than a bottle here.
Exactly as you’d expect. Perfectly good good, great price and very tasty. Nice staff. Excellent choices of meats and great roast potatoes! The lengthy disclaimer process for the coeliac member of our party was a tad OTT but that’s not on the local staff who were great.
I can’t fault the service and the food, my son is gluten free and they go out there way to support his needs, he accidentally dropped his ice cream today, the server spotted it and with out saying anything brought a new one straight over, my son was upset and worried he had done it, but the server was amazing and just said no problem enjoy the new one. The relaxed approach for my son and us makes up visit regularly. I think the kids menu is fault lose and to feed my son a good flavoured burger and chips for £4.95, which is a good size these days takes some beating. Credit to 7 bones they are not making family’s feel its not out of their reach to eat out. Well done 👏
Had a lovely meal here with a large group of friends. It's a great menu with plenty of choice, I often struggle because I am gluten-free. I had the Venison Bourguignon but I could even have had many of the others including fish and chips, which is very unusual. Our party all agreed the food was excellent. The staff were friendly, charming and helpful - Briony was a stand-out! Will definitely be back.
Following contacting the restaurant prior to attending for a colleagues leaving do about my Gluten Free requirements I was informed to check their online menu. Nothing on the on line menu mentions Gluten Free options so I contacted again and was told nearly every meal could be made Gluten Free.
I selected my meal and on the day it came with a side of NON Gluten Free pita bread. When it was placed down with my GF meal I asked and was told sorry it wasn't and there wasn't a GF option so not sure why it was brought and and if I hadn't of asked would have made me I'll if I had eaten it.
I never received my drinks order even though I asked for it 3 times (a simple pineapple juice).
The food was good but the service really let the place down and could have made me really ill.
My favourite Newbury coffee shop. Love the decor and atmosphere. Lots of delicious food on offer including low gluten and vegan cake options.
Coffee is excellent, not a fan of overly milky coffee but find the flat white and especially the Cortado delicious. Our son's go to place for hot chocolate too.
Favourite cake must be the Hoxton vanilla bun - just amazing!!
If you need your fish and chips gluten free, from Monday to Thursday, this is the place. Just had THE BEST GF haddock and chips. Batter on fish really light and crispy, all freshly cooked, and more GF chips than you could shake a stick at!!! Lovely guys and young girl running the show. Will definitely be back. Real post parent's evening treat 👍
Really nice little place to grab a bite on the go, or seating available inside - they can also provide gluten free versions of their sandwiches! I will be back....
