Amazing gluten free cowboy burger!!! OMG if you are coeliac and want an delicious burger you must go here. The cocktails were great too!
Will definitely return.
Such a lovely lunchtime visit (again). Staff were very knowledgeable of Gluten Free requirements for coeliacs like me. Real fires, lovely food and great beer.
We were looked after from the minute we walked in, attentive staff and wonderful food. The menu was more imaginative than most and tasted freshly cooked and prepared. Our food preferences were treated with the upmost respect (even having a separate gluten free menu, which is rare). Definitely would go again if in the area and wholeheartedly recommend.
Booked online, only 2 hours before we wanted to dine. Easy to book online.
Arrived a little late due to public transport but that was no problem to the staff.
Preferred our 2 meals, Gluten Free rump steak with the customary items and a standard mixed grill, both meals were excellent with no waste whatsoever. The rump steak took no effort to eat, tender and cooked just the way I asked for and the mixed grill was quality at its best. Presentation of the meals were spot on, and came to the table piping hot.
Canβt wait to return and have already mentioned the Kings Head to some of our friends.
Well done to the Chef!
Lovely pre-theatre meal. Had mussels and vine leaves to start followed by mixed souvlaki and lamb kleftico. All dishes were gluten free and fantastic taste. Even the 0 % pale ale was nice. Service good.
Absolutely superb from start to finish. Firstly the food: tasty in every single dish leaving us wanting more, loads of gluten free options for my wife which were also tasty, good portion sizes, reasonably priced, everything very fresh and of good quality, excellent presentation, equally lovely drinks and I must mention the beef peanut curry - honestly the chunks of beef were so tender and lean they were better than almost any steak I've had! The staff were attentive, friendly, polite and despite the restaurant being very full and busy the food came very quickly and the staff weren't at all phased by the busyness but perfectly amiable and available. The atmosphere was lovely, presumably because everyone was totally happy with the food, the staff and the service. If I could give an extra star beyond 5, I would!
What a find !! Havenβt had Mexican in years (celiac)

Called at this chippy, while passing through Buxton last week, we were looking for GLUTEN FREE Food, look no further, Fish and fresh Chips , absolutely fantastic, some of the nicest we've had , well recommended Thanks !
Lovely bar with a Cracking selection of ale(including a gluten free ale when I popped in) lots of local ales to choose from and I presume they brew their own. Itβs in a lovely spot in the lower part of buxton a very short walk walk from the pavilion gardens and opera house. Outside sheltered seating. Serves food. Recommended π»
A really pleasant and relaxing venue. The food was fabulous. There are plenty of excellent Gluten Free options too. Our waitress Angie (AKA Barbara) was really friendly, polite and helpful, and her knowledge of gluten free food was excellent, which made me feel very relaxed as a Coeliac (Thankyou).
The Olive Tree was recommended to us by a friend, and I can safely say, I too will recommend it ... AND WE WILL BE GOING AGAIN TOO π
