Absolute ripoff. Look at the picture. For 300 baht you get a half pound of quinoa and and very very few veggies!!??!! What a joke. Who runs this place? The only people who eat here are traveling vegetarians Farang who donāt know any better. We live in Bangkok and the owner should be ashamed of this. There are several vegetarian restaurants in town that are far superior to this place. Go check out Kuhn churn in white, nourish bowl( which also heavily caters to gluten free people which this place does not). No local eats or orders here unless they are an extremely wealthy person because of being married to an expat. This is the 3rd time weāve given them a chance and Iād never order from this place again.
It is always a treat to find a vegetarian restaurant in Sukhumvit and an Italian vegetarian on top of that. I have been here many times before and the food still tastes the same and is excellent as ever. They even provide vegan and gluten free options so it can cater to people with allergies and food intolerances. The Govinda salad and the season salad is something of a must try. The range of pizzas and pasta is vast and they also provide plant based meat for those who fancy. I would surely recommend the spinach risotto. Overall I would recommend this hidden gem of a restaurant to everyone. Be them vegetarian or non vegetarian.
The place is spacious, and the atmosphere is pleasant. They have a gluten-free menu if you ask for it, which was helpful in my case. The staff was very cordial. We were served by Arkar, who was very helpful in recommending dishes and ensuring everything was fine. The food was delicious, too. Overall, I recommend this place! :)
Our first visit was on a Friday night. We had the tasting menu. About halfway through I was so impressed that I asked for a reservation for the next night.
My dining partner was gluten free and they were wonderful with accommodating her.
Every bite was amazing. Every interaction with the staff was warm and helpful.
Bangkok is full of amazing restaurants, but this one felt extra special. So unique and flavorful.
I can't wait to return!!!
The place itself is stunning, with amazing views that create the perfect ambiance for a relaxing evening. However, our experience didnāt go entirely smoothly.
About 30 minutes after placing our order, we still hadnāt received our drinks. We had to remind the staff, and surprisingly, our food arrived before the drinks. Iām not sure why it took so long for something as simple as drinks, but it was disappointing.
I also have a cowās milk intolerance, so I asked the staff if my dish contained any dairy products like butter or milk and whether it could be made dairy-free. Unfortunately, they didnāt seem to understand what ādairy-freeā meant and started talking about gluten instead. They said they would ask in the kitchen, which I appreciated.
The waitress later confirmed that there was butter in the rice but assured me they could prepare it without dairy. I was grateful for her effort and happy they were willing to accommodate.
When a different waitress brought our food, since my partner and I had identical dishes, I asked to confirm which one was dairy-free and which one contained butter. Unfortunately, this second waitress didnāt understand what dairy-free meant either. Eventually, the original waitress returned, and both of them started inspecting the dishes with a flashlight to figure out which one had butter. I just wanted to make sure they hadnāt been mixed up.
It turned into quite a hassle, and I really didnāt expect something as simple as requesting a dairy-free meal to be this complicated. While I appreciated their willingness to help, it was clear that terms like ādairy-freeā arenāt well understood, which seems to be a common challenge in Thailand.
We just finished an amazing dinner at Aesops. The staff and kitchen were so welcoming and helpful, as one of our guest is coeliac. They took the time to listen to our requirements and modified meals for us. Great food, lovely staff, great entertainment and environment. Not a cheap place to eat, but the quality definitely matches the price. Highly recommend people give it a try.
