Delicious dishes, very nice people and a good playlist, we will definitely go back! 100% gluten-free restaurant, from aperitif to dessert. It's so nice to be able to choose your menu with confidence. And it's good, really good. The plates are beautiful, the products top notch. Our favorite address in Saint Malo!
Lots of choice in this bakery with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free offerings.
We tried the breakfast formula and the sandwich formula and we enjoyed ourselves!
Parking nearby which is a plus!
I recommend
I spent a pleasant evening in this restaurant.
The service was impeccable. The icing on the cake for me was the gluten-free alternatives offered to me.
I have celiac disease and it's very complicated to avoid wheat but I have been able to eat delicious gluten-free dishes.
Many thanks again 😊😊
Everything is done in this café to make you feel good.
The plates as beautiful as they are delicious,
very good coffee with the added bonus of a beautiful Latte art. Gluten-free options (many thanks for that)
In short, one of my favorite places in Saint-Malo.
I would have added a photo to my comment... but I devoured my cakes so quickly!!!
This is problem number 1!! They are so good that we tend to devour them. I go there regularly... too much perhaps, but there's no harm in doing yourself some good and there you have it!
I have never been disappointed, the choice of cakes and pies changes regularly, the American-style cookies, the real soft cookie are excellent, the place has a lot of charm, you feel at home, and the owner is smiling and friendly. and when he is 2 sec is still open for discussion.
I therefore recommend for:
1) gourmets, who will find something to delight in
2) people looking for a charming place where you feel at home
3) gluten-free... raspberry cake... <3
A mini “Loire in the teapot” for connoisseurs. It's nice
Edit December 2021:
Witchy decor, delicious drinks, new magical cakes... we love it. And here are some photos.
Omnivore in search of new flavors, I had vegan + gluten-free starter and dessert
I loved it! It was really very good!
I was afraid of being hungry again, I took some bread, and it was delicious too
The service was attentive
We will come back!
Excellent address. The boss is adorable, the typically Lebanese food is very good and the decoration puts us in the mood. The menu is 80% vegetarian, which is a plus, with gluten-free and vegan options.
We were pleasantly surprised to discover many gluten-free items in this bakery, and in the same price range as the gluten-containing items. Everything was excellent! To test!
How I love Café Diem! My HQ!
I'm such a fan of your cookies, but being gluten intolerant, my stomach hurts every time, do you think you can make gluten-free cookies like some of your pastries? I would be delighted, and I am sure it would work 😍…
Very good day 🌞
We grabbed a late table but we’re glad we did. Big on pizza and they offer a gluten free burger. Sat outside on the terrace in late evening sun. Staff were excellent. Service was slow but we were very late arriving. Food is good quality.
Small, friendly creperie where we were well received by the caring owner who was attentive to the gluten-free diet. Good quality products, we will come back with pleasure.
Excellent time, varied choice of meals, offers gluten-free, vegetarian and others. Perfect when you have food restrictions. Very hot dish, recycled style decoration and only local products. For 2 we were at 27€.
I highly recommend
Lovely place where we had a snack.
We had chocolate cake and another with homemade fruit.
Sugar-free and gluten-free products (unusual diet for us). It’s good for the palate to eat low in glucose 🙂
My new favorite restaurant.
Only two plates that change every day, one vegetarian and one vegan. A small buffet of cold starters, the majority of which are vegan and gluten-free. Soup as a hot starter. The dishes are well seasoned and plentiful. The little extra: a small plate option.
Desserts, cold and hot drinks are self-service, the kitchen is open and the chef always takes five minutes to chat with customers, it's like at home.
I will return there often.
As the mother of a celiac child, I chose this creperie because it presents itself as gluten-free, which initially reassured me. I called to make sure there was no risk of cross-contamination and that my child could eat safely. I was told that the bilig (the cooking plate) was cleaned after each use, and that I had nothing to worry about. Reassured, I booked for Saturday.
However, I called back five minutes later to clarify whether the buckwheat and wheat pancakes were made on different biligs. This time, I was told that they were cooked on the same bilig, simply cleaned with a pad of oil between each pancake... which is incompatible with a diet for a person with celiac disease or a wheat allergy. So I nixed the pancake idea and asked if they could serve a meat and fries, which seemed possible.
Another problem: I then booked for Sunday. But when we arrived, the restaurant was closed. After checking, it turns out that it never opens on Sunday, which suggests that the person on the phone took my reservation without checking (option 1) or that I annoyed her with my questions and that she did it on purpose (option 2)…
I am very disappointed, especially because of the lack of awareness about celiac disease and the contradictory responses that can put people's health at risk. This creperie may have 100% buckwheat crepes, but it is not suitable for celiacs due to cross-contamination. I therefore advise those affected to abstain, despite the recommendations on certain blogs.
I haven't eaten there and I have no doubt that the cuisine could be good. However, for a creperie that claims to be “gluten-free”, the level of information and food safety remains insufficient.
Delicious Gluten-free buckwheat crepes. Can be made both savory and sweet. The savory was tastier than the sweet crepe. The sweet crepe might be a little too sweet for my taste.
People with celiac disease can eat here with peace of mind. The cookies, made with buckwheat, called blé noir, were exquisite, with a lot of mixture. The burgers and the buckwheat bread also melted in the mouth, soft, spongy and not at all heavy. Very good too. Very fast service. Not expensive despite its great location (in the same port)
Perfect for celiacs! the food is very good and quality. the servers are very nice and helpful especially when you are sick, it's good to feel understood.
Good morning,
we have never been disappointed by the quality of the pizzas and the welcome. apart from one or two excellent pizzerias in Paris, here in Morbihan, in Guer, I had not yet had the pleasure of tasting such delicious pizzas! at first I was a little wary of the dough made from buckwheat, and ultimately the dough itself is a pure delight (and gluten-free!). quality local products, these pizzas are large and full of finesse. real professional work! a real pleasure for tasters! Thanks again to Art Breizh. Aline ESCOBAR.
A cozy and bright place, as pleasant for working as for spending a friendly time with friends. A wide range of homemade pastries is offered there, a big favorite for the cinnamon rolls. There is also a vegan and gluten-free offer, a real plus. The drinks are delicious and the staff are very welcoming. A must-see address in Rennes for coffee shop/tea room lovers!
Very good time spent in this beautiful restaurant ✌️. Quality meals and impeccable service! The staff was able to adapt to the "requirements" of my gluten-intolerant friend. And for that, a big thank you to you.
Looking forward to it.
Gaby and Louis
An address to note! Beautiful menu for this well located restaurant. Vegan and gluten-free options for starter, main course and dessert. We may find the individual prices a little high but they seem aligned with the local competition. Daily menu 22 euros, other menus at 26 and 34 euros. Friendly welcome but rather slow service today. The dishes were delicious and well presented! Flavors on point.
Meal this Saturday noon. Dynamic and warm welcome. We ate very well and were served quickly. I eat gluten-free and cow's milk protein-free and for once my order was taken without scowling at me, with a lot of patience and kindness. I highly recommend.
On a route through French Brittany we went to this restaurant. The waiter speaks Spanish and in any case they do their best to serve you. They have a menu with salad, cookies, dessert and coffee or tea, and most importantly for celiacs, a gluten-free option!!! Very good price and quality.
Great spot to grab lunch with vegan options. All vegan options are also gluten-free. The dahl, saag aloo, and vegetable bahji were all great. The onion bahji is very good too. I wish the rice was vegan, but it's not. The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable. The seating is limited, and the space is not kid-friendly ss there are no high chairs nor changing table. We managed with the big chairs and keeping our toddler on our knees. Would go again!
Crepes to die for, with the super original possibility of choosing the cooking method. I ate the best salted caramel buckwheat crepe of my life there (because all dessert crepes can be gluten-free buckwheat). Extremely fast service. Small problem (the only one): the servers seemed under pressure the day we went there. Personally, I prefer a more relaxed and calm service even if it takes a little longer.
Excellent from appetizers to aperitifs to coffee biscuits. Sublimated vegetables and delicious poultry. Particular attention was paid to a person with gluten intolerance, which is very appreciable. Very beautiful setting, we will come back!
Éric and Mélanie are very welcoming and the dishes served are delicious. Everything is good, even the salad, it was a good fresh salad.
I am celiac (gluten intolerant) and they have several very gourmet dishes on the menu that I was able to eat with my eyes closed, it was a pleasure.
The icing on the cake: the 100% gluten-free and lactose-free chocolate cake which was so good that I was convinced it had gluten in it.
So advice to gluten-free people and lovers of gourmet, homemade cuisine, go for it!
Excellent time spent with friends around eggs Benedict (with or without smoked trout) and cakes from this little British tea room, of which we finished all our plates. I grabbed some scones and a cookie to go to extend the experience. The service is fast, warm and attentive, the cuisine comforting and inventive (decadent gluten-free cake as is rarely allowed in restaurants). The skiing address in my favorites, I can't wait to return to Rennes!
“Le Petit Galet”, a great discovery before going to Fort La Latte. Warm welcome, fast service, decor mixing old and modern 🤩
Quality local and homemade products (gluten-free, allergens indicated...), everything was excellent and a special point for desserts, ice cream, far Breton and kouign-amann!
Thank you for this meal break, an address to remember!
Nice atmosphere and decor, varied menu and great products. The buckwheat pancakes are cooked on plates separate from those where the wheat pancakes are cooked and are therefore gluten-free, with a minimum risk of traces. Sweet pancakes can also be prepared on a base of buckwheat pancakes. For someone intolerant to gluten, having so many choices, with confidence, is great!
A real favorite!
This creperie is a gem. The pancakes are tasty, well garnished and prepared with fresh products. 100% gluten free 😀
An address not to be missed if you are in the area!
Friendly and inviting staff in a cute and cozy cafe!
The food was delicious, was cooked perfectly, and just enough. We had the Australian crepe and it was delicious!
Perfect for our coeliac family member who can have the buckwheat pancakes with no issues, which were surprisingly delicious!
Great creperie, would recommend to others, especially those with coeliacs. Thank you very much for our lovely food and service :)
