I’ve been a customer since forever.
I used to love that everything about rough and bare. The staff all were amazing and friendly. I loved that the food was organic, locally sourced, and
all gluten free.
However lately that doesn’t seem the case. The cafe is Definitely not all gluten free anymore. I am Pretty sure it’s not organic produce yet the prices remain the same.
I ordered a babycino for my daughter only to discover the dairy alternatives in the cafe aren’t organic & contain all the nasty preservatives other cafes use.
Very disappointing
Lovely staff who accommodated us for dinner even though we didn’t have a booking. Great gluten free options - I really enjoyed the salmon :) Only one star lost on food as my boyfriend’s sirloin was overcooked (asked for medium rare and it was closer to well done).
Green Gourmet has a special place in my heart!
The atmosphere is cosy and casual, and the staff are welcoming and friendly. I’ve gone to green gourmet for both special occasions with multiple people to low key date nights.
The family run restaurant serves delicious faux meat and vegetable dishes plus dumplings and a range of handmade desserts and cakes. It’s all vegan with allergen friendly options. I recommend the tiramisu, it’s so good! (And it’s gluten free!).
Super fast service, beautiful fresh salads, gluten free dairy free and vegan options; plenty of meat in them; coffee is lovely, very quick and convenient, recylable packaging.
Social distancing a bit difficult to maintain while waiting as the shopfront is just not designed for it.
I ordered from this place on Ubereats, and they not only had the option of listing your allergies, they took extra measures to accommodate it! My partner has shellfish and gluten allergy and we ordered the rare beef pho and pork chop rice noodle soup, not knowing that the soup used in the pork chop noodle soup would have any allergens in it. We got our food with this note attached 🥹. Food was 10/10 delicious and shout out to Tiffany for the excellent service :))
Would recommend this restaurant to everyone now :)
Banana blossom has become my ultimate go-to fast food option. Not only is it a healthy choice, but the delicious and filling nature of its servings truly stands out. The generous portion sizes and the diverse array of salads and bowls available, including gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options, contribute to what I love most about it.
Located in mall 88 it’s in the perfect location to grab takeaway and sit on the grass area.
If I could give this place 4.5 stars I would, but I've rounded up to 5.
We had the 6 course taster menu which was great value and enjoyable overall. We founded that the first 3 courses were fantastic, but the second half just didn't hit the spot regarding flavour.
The prawn starter dish was genuinely incredible - I could have eaten like three plates of it! The fish main was delicious and so was the tomato starter.
The 'slow cooked' lamb was quite dry and the lemon chicken didn't have a lot of flavour. The most disappointing dish was the dessert. I was expecting the bread pudding but got the chocolate torte, which was fine but nothing special.
The oddest bit was the small, branded bar of chocolate that you get with the menu. It was incredibly cheap chocolate and kind of spoiled the ending of our meal.
Small restaurant, but in a cosy way, and the staff were super friendly. They also catered well for gluten free.
I would absolutely recommend though, despite the few minor details

Amazing pies, including gluten free option! Pies and freshly fried chippies are only outshone by the amazing service from the staff. I have visited most weeks for the last 3 or 4 years - highly recommended.
Absolutely the best all round restaurant have eaten in last year or so. Parking so easy straight outside. Maybe the best on North Shore in the last decade! The whiting in brine with some gluten free bread (optional) divine. The coral fish like no other with not a single bone in sight. Unexpectedly, I went for the lemon tart at the suggestion of server and never tasted anything like it before with an absolutely mouthwatering lemon filling. Aiming to come back very soon either breakfast or dinner yet again. Judging by the full restaurant others must have same idea!
Nice teppanyaki, chef was very nice and good sense of humour. Nice that they could provide gluten free options too. Quality is not bad, not amazing either, an expensive dinner overall but your partly paying your the show and not just the food when you go to teppanyaki. Not sure the girls liked getting covered in bits of egg or fried rice but we sure all had a good laugh!
