Extremely celiacs concious and attentive! There weren't any on menu soups that were gf vegetarian/pescatarian options, so the kitchen staff and manager David personalized a great soup I could eat. I think anyone with celiacs will feel very safe eating here, and especially reccomend for gluten free people that eat meat!
Excellent menu with a wide selection of options including gluten free and vegan. The cocktails are awesome too, it's a great place to grab a quick drink, a quick bite, or to eat and chat for a long time
Lovely addition to the New Haven dining scene. Interesting wine list. The salmon was delicious and the gluten free pasta was top notch. Appropriately attentive service from the friendly staff. I'd love to get back there soon to try the tasting menu!
I liked it better when it was India palace and traditional tandoori food. The naan came out last?!The pakoras and samosas were fried and, burnt, deep fried and likely frozen to start. Really not authentic at all. They don't even give you the chutney and dips with stuff. Horrible service, no knowledge of what is actually vegan or gluten free, they told my aunt, who has a severe allergy, that whole wheat roti was gluten free. Also the roti was indistinguishable from the naan, it just didn't have gi on it... Worst place to take a date or to bring family. Lack of real options. Main plates even seemed like they were pure made and warmed up. Severly overpriced and packed to the gills with little space between tables. I got ill after eating there too, probably because it was so packed and the food was so grimey.
Interesting little place in New Haven. Unique inside with a bank vault storing wine. Attentive servers and great menu. The four of us each enjoyed our different dishes of meat lovers pizza, gluten free pasta w shrimp, seared salmon and steak salad.
Drinks were also good and well made.
Biggest complaint is the noise level. The music speaker sounded blown with much humming and crackle for all bass noise and then as the place filled from 6:15-8 pm it became too noisy to hear people next to me.
We eventually left and sat outside to visit. Might dine here again but won’t go on a Friday or during peak dining.
