Limited allergy friendly options (only macarons for Gluten free) YET the chef Alex is very cautious about allergies and has taken time to verify what options are there. I like the staff: friendly, kind and, thorough
We stopped by for breakfast!! Wow what service! My partner being allergic to gluten, the waitress knew her menu very well and did not hesitate to go to the kitchen several times to ask the chef about certain ingredients!! The meal was delicious!!
What a good restaurant, the gentle waitresses, the presentation of my plate, salmon tartare, what can I say about the wonderful salad that accompanies it and the good fries and a plus for me, the gluten-free chips 😊
We were there in mid-June for a little getaway without a baby. What can I say other than it was perfection from start to finish. We were amazed by Stéphane's service who had an incredible sense of humor, beautiful background music that went hand in hand with the restaurant and what can we say about the tempo at which the dishes came out (neither too quickly nor too long) . They managed to find alternatives for my partner who is celiac. Wow
Benoît, the chef, has managed to combine all the ingredients with such finesse.
Despite the fact that there are only two of them running the restaurant, they still took the time to talk to us and put us at ease from the start, so much so that we stayed until closing in the company of a wonderful couple.

My stay at 'Pour un instant' was a real delight. It's the perfect location to enjoy peace and quiet, sweeping panoramas of the St-Laurent and access to some of the best mountains in Quebec (grands jardins, hautes gorges de la rivière malbaie and tadoussac are all accessible from the inn)! Add to that the fact that you're staying in a real ancestral home with beautifully preserved architectural details AND all the modern comforts you could desire (and that bed was SO comfortable). The breakfast was incredible and there are gluten-free options! Our host took the time to tell me about how she cleans her equipment for gluten-free guests and answered all of my questions about cross-contamination. And finally... the hot tub with a view on the river was the perfect way to end a long day of hiking!
A hidden gem! What a great time spent at this hostel. The kitchen had wonderful surprises in store for us at dinner and lunch. I loved the attention given to my partner regarding gluten. The 4-course dinner was a great discovery. The friendly, warm staff. Our room had a little character. A small disappointment is the mattress. I would have liked a little less firm. My big disappointment is not having the chance to share a good meal with my lover more often because of the distance. Thank you very much and I hope to see you soon.
