One of my favorite restaurants, I love coming here because I know I can always find food that is gluten free, soy free, dairy free, and vegan. The food is always delicious and the service is amazing. We were greeted as so as we walked in and seated at a table immediately. I asked the server who just happened to also be the owner, to ask the owner to contact the city and let them know that the sidewalks around the restaurant need to be repaired because they are not accessible. She was very nice and listened to what I had to say. I had a question about what new menu items were soy free and she said she could let me look at the list with the ingredients of all menu items. This list was the most helpful ingredient list I have ever seen from a restaurant. The menu items are listed and under each item, the ingredients are written out. Instead of like most restaurants where the ingredients are listed at the top and if the menu items contain an ingredient it has a checkmark. The way the ingredients are listed out is so clear and easy to read and see what exactly a dish contains. I also loved all the beautiful artwork that was on display.

The Good: delicious pastries - my husband loved the Oatmeal Cookie especially. For me they have some gluten-friendly options. The selection changes frequently but I had the Apricot Almond Financier that was very good. There is beautiful and ample seating on the upper floors. The Bad: they offer no sugar free syrups, which means anyone who is trying to watch their sugar intake (type 1 diabetic for example) don’t get to have any of the fun beverages. They say it’s because they make their syrups in house… but they must buy the sugar. I’m not sure why they couldn’t buy some agave or monk fruit and have at least one sugar free option.

We used Mildred's catering for a work breakfast and it was incredible! Not only was everything delicious and ready on-time, but it was also affordable. Mildred's even took the extra step to make sure everything was labeled so our vegan, vegetarian and gluten free colleagues were able to eat with confidence. Thank you Mildred's team!

The artistry and creativity is amazing! I love the colors and uniqueness Christopher Elbow offers. While showing properties in downtown KC I popped in to check out what is new. They have adorable Easter box sets (see photos). I have given these chocolates as gifts to clients, friends and family for a long time and they never disappoint. They have gluten and dairy free options, but they still contain soy. Lovely place and awesome staff. They accommodated my dairy-free requests and the Cielo Azul smoothie was so delicious! And the pastries looked sooo yummy!! I'm hoping for more gluten-free options soon. For now, I'll continue to get my drink fetish served here ❤️
