This is one of those gems you should probably stop by earlier, rather than near closing. They definitely sell out of many of the selections. The donuts all look amazing and taste just as good. Bonus: a very good selection of gluten free (friendly?) donuts too, but they do go quick. Everything pairs nice with a very nice Stumptown brew of coffee. Let's not forget the staff. Super friendly and engaging. Most certainly going back!
The designs on the plates and cups were really cute.
It was a healthy plate with colorful vegetables that looked great in photos.
The staff are very friendly and kind.
We also have many gluten-free and vegan menus, so you can have a breakfast that suits you. Thank you for the wonderful morning.
Cal Fresh has a great selection, especially if you want healthy alternatives or gluten free options to things. Their specialty drink section is top notch, and both the smoothie/coffee bar and the deli are high quality. The only problem is that everything is fairly expensive, maybe 15-20% more than other grocery stores.
We got to the restaurant around 10 a.m. We waited for about 45 minutes after signing in with 8 groups ahead of us. They had a lot of seating for waiting patrons, which was nice. One of the benches was sticky, and people avoided sitting there, so I let a staff member know. It wasn't dealt with in the about 90 min we were there. Before we left, we let the waitress know, and she seemed to make note of it again.
We initially got water, but it tasted like mold or chemicals. I couldn't continue drinking it. The ice was ok. I wonder if they need to change filters.
I got the pismo pier omelet and added spinach and mushroom. Their home fries come with onions, are cooked nicely, and are not very crispy. The lobster and shrimp were cooked beautifully. And I was offered a gf pancake when I said I was gluten sensitive. She charged me an extra dollar to do that instead of toast.
The other person got the chicken fried steak and home fries with over-easy eggs. The gravy had sausage in it and was well seasoned. We both added something to our potatoes.
Very wine focused restaurant, food leans heavy: seafood, steak, lamb, porkchop; kebabs, burgers of various meats. Two in our party have celiac disease and we appreciated our server's understanding of cross contamination very much.
Super great experience here! Fantastic service, the food is great and they can accommodate for allergies. I can’t eat gluten and they were able to show me what on the menu is gluten free and cook is separately so I wouldn’t get cross contaminated. Hopefully they get some GF bread at some point because their sandwiches look great! They also have an extensive drink menu (many GF options). The outdoor patio is a really nice place to hang especially with dogs and they have a dog menu. They also have a fun kid area. I’ll definitely be coming back!
