Excellent food, with a bustling staff efficiently preparing and serving. The queuing system is well-organized. However, it is important to clearly communicate any special requests at the ordering point, such as if there will be a longer wait for a gluten-free option when multiple orders are combined.

Can't fault Number Forty Four. Comprehensive menu with many gluten free options and generous portions. Customer toilets and wifi and outdoor seating available.

The food is tasty but the gluten option was handled badly despite advertising GF options. So not a good GF experience and I won't be back. I ordered a gluten free breakfast and the items that had to substituted (two sausages and black pudding) left my order short and disappointed, and not willing to rectify.

I usually enjoy glutenfree fish and chips here but on our last visit we ordered 0% lager, my husband drank a bottle while waiting for our meal, as he was pouring the 2nd bottle I noticed it was not alcohol free, he had been served with the wrong lager. This was serious due to medical reasons and also he was driving. We were refunded but I am now no longer able to trust that there may also be a mistake with glutenfree. Always check your order when it is served to you
