Fantastic donuts and a great atmosphere. I really appreciate that they have vegan and gluten free options, which makes it easy to cover a wide variety of dietary restrictions.
My favorite "mom+pop" place for a drink and a snack or meal.
So grateful for the dairy free/gluten free options. The food is so delicious and fresh and the atmosphere is quaint and inviting. I recommend the Dandelion blend and a coconut date square (made with spelt flour)or a fluffy, gluten free muffin!
Food and service were amazing. We had the pulled pork routine. It was one of the best pouting we've had. Highly recommend this place if you are in the area. Lots of gluten free options.
Love Pineridge Hollow. Their food is delicious and servers are happy and helpful. Delicious gluten free pickerel and fries. You can walk through the interesting shops. There are so many things going on. Highly recommend you go and also check their website.
Today I ordered the house salad with the roasted red pepper soup. The soup was delicious and so was the salad that was brought out. As I was eating my friend pointed out that it was actually a caesar salad. Once I brought this to the waitress attention she was more than happy to swap out the correct salad. Normally I would not say anything and just continue to enjoy the food I am eating but I was already having a bad day and I decided I desreved what I ordered. Boy was I happy to have made this choice, the dressing was amazing and I will definitely order the house salad again. I also got a chocolate torte to go because it is the most delicious moist gluten-free thing I've eaten. If you have not tried this before, do! Or try the carrot cake because it's also amazing.
Love this place so much! Service is amazing, they really care about the customers. Food is great and they have good gluten free options and substitutions. One of my favourite brunch spots!
Oh dear. Well. We came for coffee and desert but decided to grab a pizza too as I missed supper and my partner was moderately hungry too. Ordered the Funghi pizza. It was an excruciatingly long wait. 40 minutes? Mostly empty restaurant? So I’m not sure why. And when I tell you I was starving! So this pizza arrives and it’s very unattractive looking… like it’s as if a bag of arugula was just emptied on it blindly and everything else is just white. If this thing was near a wood fire there’s nothing to show that, no golden edge, no crispy crust, nothing. But okay. Shouldn’t judge by looks right?
Absolutely nothing could prepare me for the degree that this thing was such a disgusting, soppy, dripping mess. An actual pool of water? Mushroom juice? Under the crust, which is not a crust but a wet, slimy layer of gluten. Absolutely horrific. But I’m starving. This took FOREVER. So I eat a bite. The boccocini cheese is thickesh and chewy and it’s not hot - not helping the mushy “crust”. Just picture chewing wet dough? With congealed cheese? The bacon looked like that ultra thin kind you put in the microwave. Like see-thru bacon. Which is fine! I don’t care! I am STARVING ! But when I went to slice it … it pulled apart like the dough- flaccid, gooey, no crisp or desire to act like bacon at all, I have never seen bacon do that after being cooked. It acted more like how raw bacon would pull apart? I couldn’t take it. I got an urge to gag so I had to leave the resto for a minute. I actually started tearing up as I was so hungry and this was supposed to be a special date for a tired mom and dad and we won’t get another chance for a while. My partner was so hungry he ate most of it anyway and said he felt sick. I would have ordered more food but I couldn’t handle the idea of waiting another 40 minutes. And my stomach was turning. It is midnight as I write this and I still haven’t eaten because I wanna gag still.
We got gelato (excellent) and two caramel macchiatos. The coffee was insanely bitter for the first ten minutes, like a shot of pure espresso?, but we tapered it with the gelato. I almost got used to it, but we got to the second half of it, and it was near pure caramel syrup and cream with no coffee flavour at all. That bottom half was undrinkable for both of us. We saved them as syrup to add to coffee for the next few days. So I figure it just didn’t get mixed? And that it actually was the pure espresso sitting on top?
Service gets lower stars because our server disappeared after delivering the meal - ended her shift but never checked in with us which should take place 1-2 minutes after dropping food. A second server arrived well past the point I could have even ordered anything else anyway (my partner ate 7 out of 8 slices before she ever came by to ask how it was and no I didn’t tell her the truth, I just didn’t say anything, and she looked exhausted, unhappy and stone-faced, was training an employee, and I didn’t want to add to whatever was wrong there).
Atmosphere gets three stars because it was Saturday night and the fireplace was not lit inside (why have it then?) and it was freezing in there, no candles on the table or anything (flowers? Are they hard to find?).
And it’s obviously just a whatever but there are plastic shrubs along the window seats which, well, are real plants hard to find? Why have a window into a greenhouse and put lawn chairs and plastic shrubs along it? Felt a bit like eating soggy bread after the sprinkler ran on it for an hour in the discount garden section of a Canadian Tire?
People around here don’t have many options. But if you have to choose a place to spend your money and time in this one horse town, you might have a mediocre meal here, or one of the actual worst food experiences of your life.
You might leave and be unable to eat or even see a mushroom pizza for a long, long, long time without wanting to gag.
Do you really want to take that risk with your special date night? No. Go to Irori, or the Indian Spice Club, or Winnipeg.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Yafa Cafe and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. The restaurant's cozy ambiance and warm lighting created the perfect atmosphere for a special evening.
The service was impeccable. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to make sure we had a delightful dining experience.
Every dish we tried was a culinary masterpiece. A perfect balance of flavors and beautifully presented. The dishes were incredibly fresh, and the desserts were a sweet indulgence.
Despite the high-quality food and exceptional service, the prices were reasonable, making it a great value for the quality provided. The menu had a good variety of options, including vegetarian and gluten-free choices, which catered to our diverse group.
The restaurant's attention to cleanliness and hygiene was also noteworthy. Everything was spotless, from the dining area to the restrooms.
Yafa Cafe exceeded my expectations in every way. I highly recommend it for a memorable dining experience. I'll definitely be returning to explore more of their menu. If you're looking for a place to celebrate a special occasion or simply enjoy a great meal, this is the place to go!

Absolutely love the food! Incredible options from stir fries to butter chicken. They can always accommodate my gluten -free and dairy-free requirements. Food is delicious and made fresh! Some of our favorites are: Burger and Fries, chicken noodle soup, salads, stir fries, butter chicken, bubble tea, London fog, and the Green Tropical oasis juice!
Excellent customer service too!
The food was alright. They had trouble getting it all out at the same time for our group of ten. There is a good selection of gluten free options. The game selection was excellent including multiples of classic games and someone on staff helping out with recommendations.
I’ve been going here for several years now. It’s always a 10/10 experience. I appreciate so much that they offer several non dairy drink options. Their seasonal drinks are always exceptional. As well as my usual, oat milk latte. They have vegan and gluten free food options which I really appreciate
. A few times I have asked about the pour over coffee of the day. Every time they have kindly explained the different flavours and notes I can expect in the beans.
When we order hot chocolate, and they see we have our kids with us. They go out of their way to make sure it’s cooler and not too hot for them, without us having to ask. They always acknowledge and say hello to me and to my kids when we come in. One experience in particular sticks out to me. I had forgotten to specify oat milk for my latte. She was about to start steaming my milk, and I said oh I’m so sorry I forgot to say oat milk! I want to pay for the up charge on the oat milk. I insisted a few times. She said kindly, no worries at all. It happens. It made me feel appreciated as a customer.
We also get all of our coffee beans from here.
This would definitely be my daily coffee run place if they had a drive through.
I've been here a couple of times and the food has been really good! The buckwheat crepes are apparently gluten free which is good for those with dietary restrictions or wanting to avoid it. Cute decor, decent service (and in French if you prefer), savoury and sweet options, and a nice but small selection of pastries.
Seamless ordering, impeccable product. Allergy free, gluten free... One of the best places to get a Birthday cake. I love being able to send them a jpeg photo and they transfer it on to a cookie.
Came here for the Sourdough Bread. I heard and read about sourdough for people who are gluten sensitive. Read all about their products and procedures on their Webb site. I tried the Prarie Sourdough bread.
I will diffinetly be going back!! But get there early as they sell out.
Great at catering towards those with gluten allergies. There has always been 100% confidence towards Stella's in handling this. Also, their coffee is great too!
I love Verde and it’s one of my go-to restaurants for healthy meals. They have a variety of bowls, smoothies, juices, hot drinks and treats. I love that they use wholesome and fresh ingredients for everything. There are vegan and gluten free options.
My favourite meals/drinks that I have tried have been the Burrito Bowl (also completely vegan and gluten-free), Rise and Shine Smoothie and Happy Land Juice. The Burrito Bowl is packed full of delicious foods and is very filling and tasty.
The cafe is cute and beautifully decorated with lots of plants. They have a small area for seating as well and a large window looking out to Westminster Street. Parking is free on the street.
Authentic Métis cuisine - delicious food and phenomenal service. They have a celiac menu and are very customer-focused to ensure your experience is exquisite. Regardless if you’re local or passing through Winnipeg, you won’t want to miss out on this hidden gem!
Awesome place to meet with friends and have some snackies. The cocktail menu was awesome, the charcuterie board was amazing, and I found my new favourite gluten free crackers! Highly recommend visiting.
First time. Service was friendly and informative. Good options. Food was amazing. Had the gluten-friendly granola bar - yummy!!! And the iced fruit tea.
Thank you for this amazing experience. I have to eat gluten free and dairy free (as per dietary allergies/intolerance) and I want to express my gratitude that you accommodate desserts/goodies that are gluten free AND vegan at the same time. It’s comforting that I can just order right away with it being advertised and it’s SO hard to find gluten free ANYTHING from shops/cafes without dairy in it. From the bottom of my heart I LOVE YOU and your business. I look forward to scoping the menu more often and hoping to find at least one or two options of gluten free/vegan or gluten free/dairy free items. I know I’m just ONE person of many, but trust me when I say there is a community of us that search frequently for places that we can enjoy, like everybody else. You are wonderful.
I will definitely order again. Carrot cake is my absolutely favorite I would buy the whole cake if I could! xx

The selection of specialty items is incredible. Prices have always been fair.
I love buying vegan and gluten free ingredients here and finding great house cleaning products.
Some of my absolute favourite inhouse treats are the Sunbars, coconut macaroons, and the tofu sandwiches they make here.
Highly recommend this spot for great people and service, quality products, and their produce is organically priced for the quality.
Adorable!! Got rained out camping and came into Boissevain to explore. Had a coupon for Sawmill Tea and coffee, Could not have been more happy to find this place. Food was delicious and service was great. Lots of Gluten free options. Will definitely be back next time we're in Boissevain
This is just a great place to eat! Relaxed quiet atmosphere. Yummy food. Excellent service. They are good at accommodations for gluten-free food too. A hidden gem.
Definitely stop at one of their locations if you’re a matcha lover visiting Winnipeg. This is one of the best matcha lattes I’ve ever had! I also love that they have gluten free bars. 🤍

Beautiful space, friendly staff, great snack and coffee choices (although I’d love to see more gluten free treats). I like to get work done done here, read and bring staff or friends for meetings and visits. I love having them in the neighbourhood!
Great place! The owners are fantastic people. The staff is friendly and helpful. The Gluten Free muffins here are the BEST! I've purchased a tree here and many plants over the years. Never a problem. Even purchased sand here.
