Very friendly and welcoming staff. They have a selection of gluten free treats and some pastries, as someone with coeliac disease I really appreciate that they have something there that I can eat.
Overall a very atmospheric and yummy place to have lunch on the main strip of Daylesford.
We all ordered burgers and sandwiches and all enjoyed them quite a bit. (I do wish there was more than one pickle on my burger though, so definitely ask for more if you are a pickle fan)
There was a fair range of menu options, including some vegetarian, vegan, gluten and dairy free options.
The outdoor seating area is rather basic but inside was a lovely space with a range of seating options.
The service took quite a while, but the staff were such a delight, and clearly doing their absolute darnedest. Food was delicious despite a very busy Sunday afternoon and a bit of waiting. Would absolutely eat here any time, and still dream about some if their gluten free cakes.
Every time we come here it’s always fantastic although sometimes difficult to decide what to get as everything on the menu is delicious. The chef is a genius, the menu has something for every mood and you just know it will be good. We refuse to go for breakfast or lunch anywhere else in Daylesford and you can’t convince us otherwise.
May or may not have gone in three days in a row last month… :)
Our personal favourites are the Cheese and Salad Roll, the Roast Beef Roll, Chicken Congee and the Kimchi Omelette. The Beef Roll has recently changed to a Lamb one and it’s also great although not quite as good as the beef.
One of us is gluten free and the bread they use here is the best Gluten Free Precinct Market loaf which they serve in very generous slices. It’s awesome. Super nice to not miss out on lots of menu options for being gluten free. Thanks so much!
I am still shocked by how appalling this place was. 1.5 hour wait for food. When questioned the wait staff said everyone has to wait. No apologies. When I asked why couldn’t we have been given the courtesy to be advised before we ordered it was met with more hostility. When the food arrived it was incredibly tasteless. The vegetarian curry was absolutely made with curry powder there was a distinct yellow stain on my tongue. The gluten free pizza base was chalky and not edible. The regular pizzas were incredibly small and lacked toppings and taste. The prices are sky high. When I didn’t get my Coke after the 4th asking it was met with well it’s not on your order. When I showed the receipt the staff left disgruntled and refused to bring it. How they are in business in just astounding.

We come back here every time we are anywhere near the place! (and we live 4 hours drive away)
Food has always been amazing, with good choice for coeliacs, and the gallery had sone wonderful pieces depending on what's on.
AMAZING and friendly staff!
Very interesting exploring the convenent with a huge amount of history.
I highly recommend walking through to the back to the altar bar, a hidden gem. You can get the same food etc but the atmosphere is fantastic. Only accessible through the gallery and the shop at the back
Thank you for catering so well to we Coeliacs who need to eat safely gluten free. Pancakes were delicious as was the scrambled eggs and bacon. Considerate service by helpful staff.
