Heads up for folks with celiac/gluten allergies: this restaurant wasn't accommodating. Despite giving the restaurant a heads up with the reservation and asked the server for suggestions, I was only given a couple of options. The server mentioned they'd have to ask to see if the chef was in the mood to accommodate cross-contamination that night (they weren't). The food was good, but for the price, this place just isn't worth it.
I would have rather they called and let me know a head of time that they wouldn't accommodate and we would've made plans elsewhere.
Dia de Los Muertos themed Mexican restaurant in Fremont that had vegetarian, gluten free and dairy free options and a great bar! They also have choices of outdoor seating.
Obviously high quality ingredients, really balanced flavors and textures with excellent cooking techniques that really complement and showcase the ingredients. It was so delicious, we wanted nothing else while we stayed in town. Lots of gluten free options and detailed descriptions provided so you know what is in it and what delicious ways it was cooked.
had the gluten-free option, plato rojo. it costs a little bit extra but it was definitely worth it!! we picked up more than 10 sandwiches and called ahead. it was ready within 10 minutes — amazing!

I have always loved this restaurant for its exquisite cuisine, so I suggested to my husband to go for New Year's Eve dinner. But something went wrong. The room was so noisy that the waiter could barely hear me. The lobster bisque had mussels added, which ruined the whole taste. The scallop was impossible to chew. We ordered foie gras, but it turned out to be a pate. The dessert was very mediocre. The beef and lamb were the best. Despite the fact that the diet was discussed in advance, there was no gluten free option at all. Disappointment
We really enjoy coming here for happy hour. We are gluten free and dairy free, and Tavolata is always accommodating.
We often start with the tavolata salad, without cheese, but it's got so much going on that it's still filled with flavors. My favorite dish is the rigatoni, which I order without cheese and with gluten free pasta. It's spicy but I love it. My wife gets the papardelle, prepared similarly. It's sweeter and the acidity of the tomato sauce really takes center stage.
Tavolata uses the BEST gluten free pasta, so the flavor of the pasta itself is just unbeatable, as far as gluten free pasta goes.
The service is always quality, but I do prefer going here during happy hour. It's quieter and everything is timed to perfection. Happy hour also has great prices.
My one detractor is the atmosphere. ESR initially had a taco joint here that was overpriced and underwhelming, but they retained a lot of the same 'vibe' as the previous restaurant. I'd love to see more of the classic ESR vibe that you find at their other restaurants, such as the Belltown tavolata.
Had the kelaguen chicken tacos. They were really good, hefty tacos. Was recommended the avocado salsa and it was a nice addition. Good outside seating in the back. Interesting mix of options that all look delicious. A few gluten free options as well.
This is my second time dining here in two weeks, it’s definitely my new favorite restaurant in Seattle! Everything is so fresh & well executed. The sauces are top notch. The best Tofu! I eat whole food plant based but my friends & husband like to have some more fun foods so it’s so cool to have a place that has tons of healthy, gluten free options while also serving up some bomb classics like pasta florentine— the chik’n on that dish was some of the best plant-based meat we have tried! Definitely recommend the berrylicious sunrise smoothie— so delicious, it sort of reminded us of blue raspberry. The Green Monster smoothie is super good too if you’re into ginger & want a nice matcha buzz. The staff are super friendly & personable too! Excellent service! We’ll definitely be back anytime we’re in the area.
The place was not packed, walked in, have to order before you sit. Menu on the wall. I ordered the Willy Lee cheese grits, and an orange juice. I like the tables. They are bowling ball lanes. the food was OK, except for the grits. I did not like the grits they are delta grind. (very coarse if you don’t know what that is don’t order the grits they’re very bland. The orange juice was very good.
I probably won’t go here again, but that’s just my taste. I think if you’re vegan or gluten-free, this might be the place for you.
