Needed a breakfast place that opened early and had a variety of breakfast options. We have some food issues, so this place serves pretty much everything you'd ever expect for breakfast, including gluten free options, etc. and they opened at 7:30am on a Sunday. Overall this should be a pretty good review. Nice place, clean, nice staff. Food was decent. Our only negative issues were two: they came and took our drink order pretty quickly, then two waters, a coffee and a hot tea took 20 minutes. Then another 10 minutes until someone, someone different, came and took our food order. And then, 20 minutes after that, the food didn't show up correct. I ordered the "Veggie Swiss" omelet. The server repeated back my order "You want the veggie omelet?". I figured, OK, so "yes". Came with tiny chopped veggies (1/4" cubes) and zero swiss cheese. I did also do a substitution, grits for toast and the grits were OK. Not fully cooked but grits are indeed hard to get right. They were decent, as was the cheese-less, very plain and simple omelet. My wife just got two fried eggs and hashbrowns and those were good, except she ordered two orders of hashbrowns and they delivered only one - and then promptly went back and brought us out another. Had to flag someone down to get a refill of coffee. Nice place but management needs to train and supervise these Baylor college kids. Smart kids, nice, good atmosphere, polite and clean, but the service issues tainted an otherwise good time.

I absolutely loved my order of chicken and waffles. My waffle was perfectly cooked. The breading on the chicken tenderloin was perfectly seasoned and not salty. The fresh strawberries were sweet and really added to my enjoyment. I appreciate the organic and gluten-free ingredients. It's definitely a must on my next trip to Waco, TX. Last but not least, the owner was an absolute joy!

We had stopped by here on our trip to Waco previously, then the experience was great. But this time when we decided to come back my mother with bad allergies to gluten dairy and egg, was given a flour tortilla even after expressing multiple times that she had really bad allergies. When given her food she has asked again and they said it was four after she had already eaten some of it. They offered to fix it but by then it was too late. She is now extremely sick. And the waitress who caused the issue was not as apologetic as expected the response was “yeah that was probably my fault”. It was expected that she would be fine eating here as she had before, but after this experience we will not be returning.
