This place is fantastic, but you have to sit outside. The dining room is dated and very loud! We eat here frequently because they offer gluten free items, but check your plate, I have been served regular bread on a few occasions.
I don’t think I have had that good of a dining experience in years. The service was immaculate. Our servers name was Justin and not only was he super friendly he knew the answers to all of our questions about the food. My sister has a gluten allergy and gets a lot of annoyance from servers when we go out. He knew everything the food was cooked with and was super patient with all the questions she had. Also we had our kids with us and he was the sweetest to them and didn’t seem annoyed by the littles which is rare in a nicer restaurant like that. My sister and I were beaming by the end of the meal because he did such a good job with the service. We don’t go out much because we have the kids and it feels like we bother people but this was such a nice experience and a pick me up for two busy moms. Thank you Justin you get a 10/10 from us.
I have gluten allergy. I been eating here for a few years now. I always get the breakfast sampler. They can substitute the pancakes and put blueberries on them. Yum. If you order the eggs over easy, it will come out more done than you like. Like over medium or over hard. I only got it right like a handful of times from eating here. Friends do like chocolate pancakes. I had a friend who said theor French toast is good. Steak will come more medium well or we'll done if you order it. Hashbrowns don't use flower to make them crispy so they are safe. Ham has some grill marks on it. So it's always nice. My bacon always came out crispy from what remember. They got better after 2022. I don't see the same faces as much anymore. I might eat there once every 3 months and don't usually see the same staff. But the quality got better except for what I mentioned earlier. Service speed is hit or miss. I can't tell ya a pattern yet. There's a park behind it which is nice to walk off what you ate if you like. I give it 4 stars overall since I mostly have a positive experience and no reaction when I tell them I have a gluten allergy even when my friends do not.
Date night for hubby and I. He called and made reservations for 6pm. The food was absolutely amazing. They even had gluten free penne pasta for me. I had to get a slice of cheese cake which was a win as well. We will definitely return.
Great place and waitress was very good! They had a gluten free menu with a good amount of choices. Was pleasantly surprised. Gluten free Hamburger bun was tasty. Definitely a place I would go back to.
Great place to enjoy with friends. It has that small town feel and delicious food! I really enjoy their catfish. I have celiac so I can enjoy the corn battered catfish without any problems.
Stopped by on my way to the hospital as my wife wanted something gentle on her tummy after trying to recover from a car accident. These smoothies are supposed to be all natural, gluten free, lactose free, with no additives or preservatives. Additionally they are supposed to be meal smoothies that fill you up. I spent around forty bucks for us and our 3 kids to get 5 medium smoothies and i ended up with stomach cramps, because I think there was milk in it, my wife ended up throwing up hers, and all 3 of my kids, although they did finish theirs they were hungry just an hour later.
Also, I stood behind the counter waiting for well over 5 minutes for the guy to even acknowledge me at all and I was the only one in the restaurant!
Clearly he was very busy filling to go orders, but nevertheless it was not a pleasant experience, and I will not return.
This is the location just in front of Walmart off West Adams 11/24/23
