It's very "Baltimore Townie". Smells of crabs and faintly of ancient cigarette smoke from years of being true to itself.
In a nod to modernity, though, their gluten free (actually GF for folks with celiac) options get it an extra star.
My sister is getting married so we went to Amanda's bridal boutique down the road. I had looked at available restaurants in close proximity to snag a bite after and what a GEM. EVERYTHING our group of 7 ordered was tasty, made quickly and well portioned. The Chesapeake eggs (deviled eggs with crab meat) and crab pretzel (soft pretzel smothered in crab dip & cheese) were so good my sister's order extras to take home to their partner. I have Celiacs and that was the best gluten free pizza (I got it with ham & pineapple)! The mozzarella cheese pull on their slices of pizza is divine. My you get sister got a Godfather stromboli and it was HUGE. We sat and ate at the restaurant portion. It's modest with a clean restroom. I would definitely recommend.
On the bright side they do have gluten free toast. The eggs were moist and not dried out. The potatoes were dry and the turkey sausages were mushy and not the greatest flavor. I prob wouldn’t go back but the restaurant itself was clean and cute. The server didn’t give us water and I was rather parched but she was ok.
The food was good, a good selection of gluten free options and the kids ate everything on their plates. The employees were friendly and were offered suggestions when we asked.
The staff at this location is beyond friendly! They are very personable and make the experience Want to remember. The food is also very good, with options for dairy and gluten-free people alike. The atmosphere was very clean, The tables were wiped the food station was spotless and well kept and as I was paying, I watched somebody come out to wipe down counters. I am extremely impressed with this establishment and will be returning promptly!!
