Open atmosphere, with high ceilings and plenty natural light. This great vegan, and gluten free restaurant is close to the St. Joseph’s north hospital in Tampa. The desserts didn’t look like much but the flavors were amazing. For someone gluten free as myself, the flavors stand out in gluten free foods. Either good flavors or bad flavors that don’t match. But, the Revelations Cafe has a crumb coffee cake and chocolate chip cookies that were divine. They will heat it up for you if you wish. You have to try this place. We had breakfast and it was fresh and enjoyable.
Being Celiac, I have to be very careful where I eat and what I get when I do eat out. Our family had a wonderful Mother's Day lunch at Bonefish Grill. The gluten free options are wonderful! I don't have to even give up dessert...bc their flour less brownie is gf and amazing! Their martinis are the absolute best too! The waitress we had was incredibly sweet and everyone that brought food to our table was so nice. It was a wonderful Mother's Day lunch!
First Watch was a quick stop for breakfast to meet family while traveling home from vacation. The restaurant was clean, the menu had great options and the service was fantastic. I ordered the avocado toast which was delicious! My cousin who is celiac had no issues with her order. I would definitely be return to this location in the future.
Fantastic shrimp tacos, and it’s very rare to see soft corn tortillas like the ones here. the chips were hot, and the quest was delicious. Online gluten-free menu made it very easy to order. Service was excellent, and the food came out quick. They even messed up and we got an extra taco! Highly recommend the queso as an appetizer!
Great pizzas and friendly service. They even "over cooked" my pie just the way I liked it upon request. Gluten-free crust available and it doesn't taste like cardboard which is a bonus for my wife.
If you have food allergies I would recommend somewhere else. Our waiter John said they could accommodate gluten and dairy allergies. No problem. Person at the table ordered the marsala chicken with gluten free pasta. He brought out the salad with vinaigrette dressing. So far so good. Then the food arrived, except for the allergy meal. There was an issue. Apparently everything is prepackaged and they can't do marsala without dairy. So now everyone has their meal except the person with the allergies. Then our waiter John brings out a plate of plain (no sauce, no dressing, not even olive oil) pasta because he didn't want it to get cold. No chicken just a plate of plain pasta. After about 15 minutes we had to call him over and ask where is the rest of the meal? He said he would check with the kitchen. Finally a plate of plain pasta and plain chicken comes out. No marsala to be found. Why say you can do marsala chicken when you can't? Couldn't substitute olive oil for the butter? Pretty disappointing meal.
We were recommended to go there during our trip. Tara at the bar was amazing and we felt like locals instead of tourists by the end of our meal. She was so patient, kind and awesome. Very knowledgeable about the drinks and meal. With me being Gluten free, she had recommendations and what to do to make me enjoy without getting sick. She even hooked us up with neat souvenir T shirts. Can't wait to move there and be able to go when we want!!

I am just moving into the neighborhood but even before buying a house in Cheval I would go out of my way to go visit The Tavern. My wife is gluten free and dairy free and the chef is super intentional and will go out of his way to prepare foods that meet her dietary restrictions. They even serve gluten free pizza which is excellent! I love the anchovies that go on the Cesar Salad, they are high high quality. They have a great selection of drinks and the service is wonderful. The chef always comes by to talk to us and to make sure that everything is to our liking. I highly recommend you come eat at The Tavern, even if you aren’t a golfer!
