Cute restaurant in Deland! Several gluten free options, which was why we tried this place out. It was so good, we ate here two nights in a row! The gluten free oatmeal cream pies are AMAZING. Service was also great!

“Sorry for the hiccup” Never seen a manager blame their staff for mistakes especially in front of their staff and guests. Explicitly told the waiter I had severe gluten and dairy food allergies and was still served a salad with croutons and then to make up for it I was brought a dessert covered in dairy. The manager felt that he did us a favor of taking off the salad from the bill that I couldn’t even eat, how generous. He also constantly blamed his sever for the issue. The whole team was kind but very unaware of the proper way to handle allergies. When we left I was told “sorry for this small hiccup” because yes screwing with my allergies is a “small hiccup.” They did not understand the severity of the situation which is a shame because everyone else enjoyed their meals but none of us left in a positive mood because of the experience and the negative way things were handled.
