We have been here many times now, each time the food tastes as good as it looks, which is mouth watering! The staff works very hard and efficient even though they seem a tiny bit under staffed. They’ve always been upbeat, compassionate and professional. I love their gluten free and vegetarian options since that’s what my partner is restricted in eating. It’s refreshing to have food in a restaurant that cares about how healthy and customizable their food is. I’ve tried just about every bowl they are all incredible. The sweet potatoes are yummy! You can’t go wrong ordering anything here, safe part of the neighborhood and beautiful atmosphere sitting outside or in
We had the very first issue ever today. I ordered what we have eaten many times, pancakes (gluten free), bacon and hash browns and my husband gets an omelet meal. We eat here 1-2 times a week. But I will never go back. We called in because the pancakes we got today had a weird sweet after taste possibly too much vanilla. Whatever it was we called in and talked with a manager named Molly. Molly was combative saying she just tried the pancakes and no one else has complained. I have never been treated so poorly by a manager especially if I have a legitimate issue. Her only option was to come back immediately to have them remake. I didn’t have time and said so, she said that was all she could do. She made it clear she didn’t believe me either. She also said she didn’t mind us never coming back. If their customer service is like this I will never go back. Which is sad because this was our favorite restaurant. Molly you tried to make me feel small and instead you just lost a customer for life!
IMO the best thing on their menu is the bruschetta board and I was so excited when I found out that they have a gluten free bread substitute for it. I’m not sure what kind of gf bread they use but it’s incredible, it actually sticks together and doesn’t crumble apart! It’s so good that my non-gf friends will split an order with me cause they say they can’t really taste a difference.
this place was SO accommodating to our bachelorette, and the food was amazing (the girls said it was the best pasta they've had all year!).
Their team added a table so our group could dine outside, and even moved us so we wouldn't have to leave early or after the designated 2 hour window. I worked with the hostess to have champagne at the table when we arrived.
For food allergies... I have celiac, and the server and hostesses were super clear and supportive of my dietary needs.
Our server Shaun, was FAB! Really lovely and even brought us complimentary shots to celebrate the bride! Really a great experience all around. So thankful for their team!
They catered a rehearsal dinner for us that had some attendees with Celiac. The food was delicious and they were fantastic about understanding food allergies and adapting so everyone was able to feel treated!
I’ve come here a handful times as a local student. I absolutely love it and always jump at the opportunity of sharing it with my friends or family when in town. Not only is the food delicious, but the service is so warm and efficient! My best friend has celiac and the couple of times we’ve gone together, they’ve provided really special care for her safety. The location itself has the perfect brunch atmosphere that’s tucked away and the local/ small-town lunch atmosphere that’s near Old Town Scottsdale.

Great experience. The restaurant is under construction but it didn’t detract from the experience. Both the managers Eddie and Rachel were fabulous and visited with us. Laura, our waitress kept the sides coming for my gluten free husband. We couldn’t have asked for a better anniversary lunch!
This place is really cute! They have a gift shop in the lobby, with some eclectic items. The people are super-friendly; and the southern recipes are well prepared. I was, however, kind of disappointed with what I chose, which was the biscuits and gravy. I felt sick to my stomach, afterwards, for hours after, average biscuits were more like the consistency of a pre-packaged, British-style crumpet/scone consistency, plus the gravy tasted really processed with no flavor, OTHER than poor-grade , bulk seasoning mix. My roommate’s selection, though (which she let me try) was good, though, which was a scramble which had spinach, feta cheese and tasted really fresh, and didn’t disappoint in freshness and flavor. If I go back in the future. I’ll be ordering it for brunch! I also got a desert to go from the counter, which was a chocolate peanut butter ganache cupcake that was out of this world! They source their baked goods from small, local vendors in the area, and have many gluten free and vegan options!
I love this place. Being vegan and gluten free, this was a find. Great food, great drinks, amazing deal for the money. Wonderful staff that really take care of you. A must go.

Thanks to some recommendations I found on Eat Gluten Free AZ on Instagram, we stopped at Diego Pops near our hotel in Old Town Scottsdale for happy hour where all apps and margaritas are half off. They have a marked gluten free menu which is important to me as a Celiac. I was told that their fryer is dedicated but flour tortillas are stored near it, so to avoid potential cross contamination, avoid the fried foods.
After being put on a 15 minute wait list, we were seated outside. The weather was fantastic so it was very comfortable in the outdoor dining area next to the bar. On the table are 6 different sauces. Try them all - my favs were the pink one and the light green serrano one.
We got a frozen house blue raspberry margarita, 2 Diego (house) margaritas, a cheese quesadilla (not GF, but my husband loved it), elote (great), a bowl of tortilla soup (12/10 it was delicious), a corn cheese dip (fine) with tortillas rather than chips to avoid potential gluten cross contamination, and a pineapple pork bowl with coconut rice (not a fan.)
Between ordering our drinks and when our food came out, it was like maybe 40 minutes. We didn't mind because the weather was good and we were chatting and had our drinks, but our waitress kept updating us that she was on the kitchen to bring out our stuff. We were like, "it's fine." She came out 2 more times and said the kitchen had lost our ticket. Whatever, we were in no rush. Stuff happens.
She was super apologetic even though we didn't complain and the manager came over and gave us vouchers for 6 free tacos and comped our entire meal!!! We told them it wasn't necessary and we could pay but the waitress said it was thanks for being so nice and understanding. That made me feel sad that they clearly deal with a lot of rude, unreasonable people. It wasn't necessary to comp our meal or give us free taco vouchers. We did tip her in cash an amount that would have been 1/3 of the original bill.
Please don't go expecting free food but if you're in Scottsdale, please go check out the food at Diego Pops and get the tortilla soup for sure.
Edited 8.14: Apparently the dining experience here is entirely dependent on wait staff. Unfortunately after many positive experiences, this evening was an abysmal disaster. Our appetizer was sent to the table wrong, they scraped off the ingediedients that were to be left off and delivered it as though it were fresh. Numerous remnants of the old ingredients remained. Our meals, at 4pm, in a nearly empty restaurant, took an hour and were prepared differently than ordered, in style, ingredients and temperature. The on duty manager was less than sympathetic at both issues and we were made to feel as though this were our problem. We'll need to find a new favorite spot.
We're repeat diners at this upscale neighborhood kitchen and bar. We usually order the filet mignon and salmon, which are reliably cooked to perfection. The meatloaf and tavern salad are also favorites. Vegetables are always fresh. Godiva chocolate torte is decadent. For those who need gluten free there are plenty of options. The outdoor patio at the bar is a best bet if you can't secure the reservation you need. Friendly staff. Love this place.
Went with a group (8 total) of friends who had recommended this place for breakfast and WOWZA! Everyone at the table LOVED the food (and drinks) they ordered and we ALL have different tastes. Very accommodating, staff was amazing. It was soul-crushing that I could not finish everything. Would go back in a heartbeat! Try the ricotta gluten free pancakes…life changing.
They have gluten free options! I got french toast (and didn't get cross contaminated) and sampled the coffee flight. It was all delicious and we were in and out quickly.
Happy to find a spot with a few vegan options for breakfast. We enjoyed the crispy polenta tacos, tempeh breakfast bowl, and a modified avocado toast (subbed sourdough for the egg bread, subbed tempeh for the bacon/egg, and added sliced tomato)
A few vegan side options as well, like the crispy polenta, breakfast potatoes, fresh fruit, beans and rice.
Not the *most delicious* food we’ve ever had but we were so glad to go somewhere with real vegan options and something for the whole family (including kids, gluten free, and vegans)
This place was so good we ordered from here 4 times while on vacation. Incredibly grateful they had amazing gluten free options. I think Naperville, IL would be a great spot to open a location… ;)

I have celiac. We discussed the issue extensively with the server who assured me I was in a good spot and all would be fine. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. They messed up the order and brought out a wonton taco plated with the corn taco and the server advised the entire plate was gluten free. Only after eating the wonton did I discover the issue. The server apologized and contacted a manager. That’s where things took a bad turn. The manager, a very young blonde female, who clearly couldn’t be bothered with severe food allergies, came out, referred to the situation as a “small issue”, proceeded to blame me, and then offered three separate excuses for why this happened. Setting aside that each excuse was unsatisfactory, it was abundantly clear neither she, or the restaurant, took food allergies seriously. My valentines date/dinner was entirely ruined, not to mention a very expensive trip to Arizona, for which I am only on day 1 and will inevitably spend the rest of the trip in the hotel bathroom. Despite being celiac, I’m a foodie and eat in some of the best restaurants across the country. This may be some of the worst service, and particularly management, I’ve ever seen.
I have supported Pitch since the day they opened, and I will no longer be doing so. I had a reservation for Saturday night, was seated with my party, and then had to get up 20 minutes later to ask the hostess if we had a server. Another server was approached by the hostess, and he appeared to be reluctant to take our table. He came over to get us drinks while they figured out the server issue, but then stated he would take our table for the night.
When ordering our meal, he asked if 2 people in our party wanted the kitchen to split their meal or if they would do it at the table. HOWEVER, he did not mention there would be a $4 upcharge for the kitchen to do so. Then, he told our table to think about dessert because he was going to buy dessert for us given the snafoo. He then clarified that the restaurant would actually be comping the dessert. So when dessert time came, he brought everyone at the table their own dessert menu to order. He took the orders without saying a word. Upon presenting the bill, he then asked if we all ordered dessert because of what he said, to which we replied in the affirmative. He then stated that he could only comp 1 dessert, which left the other people in the party to each pay $11 for a dessert that they each did not even really want but did not want to be rude or disrespectful by declining his original offer. Too boot, there was also a surcharge for using a credit card for payment, which he also failed to relay to our table.
My experience with Pitch has been that they charge for every little thing, including a $0.50 salad dressing order change! It's absolutely ridiculous and now getting out of hand. The customer is never told or asked about these additional charges, and over the years, they have just seemed to pile up!
Additionally, the quality of the food has significantly declined. The last time I ordered a take out pizza, I had to drive all the way back because it was paper thin, burnt, and hard. The staff suspected they made the pizza with a gluten-free crust instead of the regular crust. The staff also seems to be an issue. It's like a revolving door with new staff with no prior experience. When we were seated, we asked the bus boy for lemons for our water. He proceeded to carry the lemons in his bare hands and then squeeze them into the glasses with his bare hands. Completely unsanitary!
Needless to say, Pitch has lost at least 4 loyal customers who reside around the corner. And there will be many more to come once the word gets out in the community.
Love this place. So many options including, gluten free and keto. Service is top notch. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Coffee is delicious. They also sell t-shirts and craft items. Definitely recommend
Went here on Christmas Eve for dinner and had a great meal. We had the pollo street tacos and the kale salad with salmon.
I was impressed by the level of attention the staff gave to my dining partner’s gluten sensitivity as they made a special version of salsa that was gluten free as their regular salsa has soy sauce. They also brought grilled tortillas for her to enjoy the guacamole as their regular salsa tortilla chips could be exposed to gluten in the fryer.
We had a minor issue with how the salmon was prepared and the executive chef took over to remake it himself.
I would definitely return for another meal on my next visit. There were a few items I wanted to try that I was just too full to add to the table.
Our department recently hosted a staff retreat lunch at Fate Brewing Company in Scottsdale, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish! Coordinating for a group of 20+ people can be challenging, but the staff handled everything seamlessly.
The service was attentive, friendly, and efficient, ensuring that everyone in our group felt taken care of. The food was absolutely delicious and exceeded expectations, especially given our variety of dietary needs (vegan, gluten-free, vegetarian). It’s not always easy to accommodate such diverse preferences, but Fate Brewing did it with ease and flair.
The mocktails were another highlight—they were creative, refreshing, and a perfect complement to the meal. Our team left feeling satisfied, impressed, and grateful for such a great experience. Thank you, Fate Brewing Company, for making our lunch a memorable part of our retreat! Highly recommend this place for group events or just a great meal.
Love the morning buzz! Super yummy! I did get a gluten free breakfast wrap but the wrap was a bit dry. Still good flavor! Whenever I am in PHX it’s a go to for me.
Fabulous menu and alternatives for gluten free. They can make sandwiches on gluten free bread. Brisket sandwich with chopped salad was so delicious. Others in our party had chicken salad sandwich. Shoestring French fries were delicious. Our server was great. Highly recommend. Plan to go again!
We love Houston's. It's a five star experience every time. We cannot believe how good the food is, its very memorable. My only wish is that they would offer more gluten free options.
Will come again!! Kimberly was amazing with all the help she gave us! Gluten free options, not many places like this! Anytime of the day, this is the right choice if you want good food with good people!
If you have allergies, do NOT trust this place. I usually do not feel the need to leave bad reviews but I was very disappointed yesterday with Crust. My boyfriend and I went out to eat for his birthday and I have a wheat, nut, and tomato allergy so before even going there, we called to make sure their Alfredo sauce was wheat free (which I applaud them for having a gf alfredo sauce, not everywhere does). When we got there, I made sure with our waitress that the gluten free pizza crust was nut free as well and told her about my allergies and she reassured me that they have an amazing gluten free crust and they truly sounded like they care. Two big things: the manager (I believe it was the manager) brought us our food and asked if we needed anything else, we asked for parmesan, she brings us a parmesan container and the lid was disgustingly dirty with tomato sauce squished on it. I had my boyfriend touch the container, take the lid off, look inside to make sure it looked safe, and then he poured some on my pizza. I was then about to take a first bite, and noticed tomato sauce where the pizza cutter had touched. It wasn't just a little either, the tomato was in between every slice and very obvious which I am glad it was obvious because I would've gotten very sick. We also looked around, it was not busy when we arrived and we had the only two pizzas in sight so I found it safe to assume they used the same pizza cutter they used on a gluten containing tomato based pizza to cut my gluten free tomato free pizza. Double whammy and not food safe at all. I let the waitress know and she apologized and offered to have them remake it but once my trust is broken with a restaurant that seemed to understand me at first, that trust cannot be rebuilt. So I sat there and drank my drinks while my boyfriend enjoyed his birthday lunch alone. Our waitress asked the chef in the kitchen if he used the same pizza cutter which he replied that he couldn't remember. The manager came out and offered to get me a salad or anything else but I turned it down because I cannot trust this kitchen to care about allergies after I was very clear with my waitress to begin with. I was then offered the gluten free dessert which is chocolate peanut butter cake, a nut product, which made me feel quite uncomfortable as I noted at the beginning that that was an allergy. The waitress was very sweet, but terrible experience for someone with allergies and the manager did not even say that she would have a talk with the kitchen or ensure they would work on their knowledge of safe allergen-friendly food handling. I have worked in a kitchen before and I know allergies are difficult to deal with sometimes, but it is not that hard to use more precaution and cleanliness to ensure better safety. This was a slower early lunch time as well, if they had a packed house, I could see and understand the mistakes, but when there's not many people, these simple mistakes should not happen and are inexcusable. The nice waitress is the only reason this review is getting more than one star, the decorations were cute too, but that was about the only good thing we experienced.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at Moxie’s restaurant in Scottsdale, AZ, and it was an experience worth sharing. From the moment I stepped inside, I was captivated by the sophisticated décor and the expansive, open layout. The space is thoughtfully designed with cozy booths lining the exterior and high-top tables filling the central area, creating an atmosphere that’s both inviting and chic.
The menu at Moxie’s is a culinary feast for both the eyes and the palate. Every dish is artfully presented, and the flavors are nothing short of exceptional. I had the opportunity to try two outstanding items:
• FARMERS HASH: This hearty dish combines pancetta bacon, jalapeño pork sausage, roasted vegetables, and pickled onions, all topped with perfectly poached eggs, home fries, and a drizzle of hollandaise sauce. The medley of flavors and textures made every bite delightful.
• TUNA SUSHI STACK: A visually stunning dish featuring sushi-grade tuna stacked with seasoned rice, avocado, mango, and complemented by a soy ginger glaze and spicy mayo. Served alongside seasoned prawn crackers, it was a refreshing and flavorful treat.
The service was equally impressive. Our server was not only attentive and knowledgeable but also genuinely friendly and helpful, enhancing our overall dining experience. The staff’s professionalism and warmth made us feel well-cared-for throughout our meal.
Overall, Moxie’s hit it out of the park in all areas. From the elegant ambiance to the exquisite cuisine and excellent service, it’s a restaurant that delivers on all fronts.
Additional Information:
• Ambiance: Perfect for both casual lunches and special occasions, with a lively yet comfortable atmosphere.
• Location: Conveniently situated in Scottsdale with ample parking options nearby.
• Reservations: Recommended during peak hours to ensure a seamless dining experience.
• Menu Variety: Offers a diverse selection catering to various tastes, including vegetarian and gluten-free options.
If you’re in Scottsdale and looking for a memorable dining experience, Moxie’s is a must-visit destination. I highly recommend it and look forward to my next visit.
The food was fresh & well prepared. My husband had the redfish & I had the trout, both were delicious. Our waiter was very accommodating for my gluten free needs, and his service was delivered with a smile & style.
We enjoyed our meal in AZ so much that we already have res at the RF in Austin when we’ll be visiting for a conference.
We had a great experience here across the board. The food was delicious and they were able to accommodate a vegan/gluten free diet. The vegan/gluten free dishes were the mushroom dish, cauliflower steak, and squash. The second two dishes required slight modifications to make vegan. The mushroom dish was unique and we ended up getting two because it was so tasty. The shrimp tartine dish was 10/10 as well. They were on top of the service and our primary waiter, Ricky, was incredible. Very friendly, knowledgeable, and fun. Highly recommend dining here!
I had the day off and decided to meet up with some friends for brunch with my little one! This restaurant is located in the back of the mall, near Nobu and Francine.
They have such a nice patio area, which would be great for the cooler months. Inside, there were plenty of seating options. They gave our table a high chair and took our order.
We had really great service for our meal and she was very attentive.
I ordered the crispy eggs with prosciutto, which came with bread and a bed of arugula. This was really good, and I feel like a pretty good value for prosciutto ($18.)
I also ordered their gluten-free blueberry banana bread for my son. It was nice that the bread was not overly sweet, as most banana breads can be.
This was a nice location for our little catch-up, and we would love to come again to enjoy their outdoor seating.
I’ve come here a few times now. I’ve been for dates, happy hour with coworkers, and lunch with my sister. Every single time has been amazing. I highly recommend coming at night if you want the romantic vibe. I’ve always had a good experience and enjoyed the food.
Today the experience deserved an extra shoutout though. My sister has celiac so trying new places is always stressful for her. One simple oversight can send her to the ER. But Oscar was absolutely amazing. He answered all of our questions, reviewed the restaurants policies/procedures, and kept checking on our order in the kitchen to make sure that all of her items were made separate with new gloves and cooking utensils. Thank you for making her feel safe during her meal!
For our other celiacs: the mussels are gluten free as long as you don’t get the side of bread, she highly recommends!
A brunch vibe and the perfect Sunday fun day! Hash kitchen was upbeat and the food was delicious. I was surprised by the menu creativity and the gluten-free options. Shout out to Adam and Kylie, for GREAT customer service and energy.
Our Favorites:
* Mimosa flight (w/ optional glitter)
* Billion-dollar bacon
* Chicken and waffles
* Gluten-free banana pancakes
* Build your own Bloody Mary bar.
* DJ w/ hits playing
The carne asada here is AMAZING! Best I've ever had. So was everything else we tried (birria, street corn, marg). Great service and atmosphere too. Prices were fair especially for the quality of food. Lots of gluten free options for those like me with food sensitivities. Will definitely be back soon!
Our waitress Suzanne was very pleasant, attentive & friendly!
We haven't gone to this Denny's in along while and I must say the staff they have NOW is Awesome,
Our food was sooooooo gooooood! Our order was 100% correct, fresh and piping hot. Atmosphere was chill, the background noise was just right, easy to have a conversation while dinning. Restaurant and restrooms were spotless.
The prices have changed however they offer very affordable options for all budgets and have a large veritety for meat eaters, veggie heads and gluten free ppl. I was pleased to see some familiar items and many new ones on the menu.
Even though Denny's is
a chain restaurant not all Denny's are created equal lol, I must say This location is on POINT! . Thank you Suzanne and all the wonderful kitchen crew that made this visit the best one we have had in a long time.
Looking forward to dinning again here soon!
Came here for my birthday with friends and the food and drinks were amazing. I got gluten free pasta with vodka sauce and added chicken. You can add chicken or shrimp to any pasta. Most of the desserts are also gluten free, so I was happily surprised with the options I had!
Outstanding pizza, service and Dr. Pepper. Fair price. The perfect hole in the wall spot for pizza. Looking forward to coming again. Best gluten free crust around!
Beautiful outdoor area with plenty of seating. wonderful options for gluten free and vegan foods and ample amount of beverages. Pictured is the 4222 Bowl, which was very refreshing.
