You can choose the gluten-free option, wich is a buckwheat dough. The employees know about gf-eating and the kitchen is clean. Also there is gf tiramisu, ricotta (dessert) and they have gf pasta and you can choose gf tarte (also with buckwheat dough). It’s soooooooo good🥰! I’m always happy, when I’m eating there! It’s really worth it, go there!!!
Best gluten free place in Berlin. Cakes are just delicious, place is super cozy and service was really nice. Special note for the New York cheesecake, you don’t even notice it is gluten free. Will definitely come back!
I visited twice during my stay in Berlin and would definitely recommend it to anyone. 99% of the menu is naturally gluten-free, a safe haven for coeliacs! The arepas are absolutely stuffed full and surprisingly filling. The yuca fries are amazing as well as the accompanying sauces.
Got gluten free burger buns. Kitchen is clean but I think they use the Sam fryers and grills for everything. Not a problem for me and the burgers were delicious.
Omg yumm!
I had a sandwich on gluten free bread, an oat milk decaf cappuccino and a gluten free vegan snickers cake and I can highly recommend all of it! 👌
The food was fresh and tasty, the service was friendly & attentive and the vibe is nice!
Sure the prices are 'Mitte' but welcome to New Berlin folks, what you gonna do 🤷
Worth popping in for a delicious treat 💯
Yesterday my girlfriend (who has coeliac) and I ate at Tina's and it was amazing.
We had two arepas, the pulled mushrooms and the eggs with cheese and both were very delicious.
We also had the classic bowl which was also great.
Simly amazing delicious gluten free food.
Omar was very friendly and forthcoming.
We would definitely come and eat here again!
Cheers
Freshly baked bread scented with rosemary, mountains of grilled meat, endless uzo on the house – that's what I associate with Greek food in Germany. You don't get any of that. I missed NOTHING of it, none at all. There were five of us, and in this group, we like to try vegan and vegetarian cuisine. If you're not standing in the door when the shop opens like we were, I recommend making a reservation.
It's a very small restaurant.
I love being able to simply choose anything from the menu without asking questions or hesitation – here it's even largely allergen-free, gluten-free, and soy-free.
What else can you even eat? Well, everything else :). Freshly seasoned dishes made from vegetables, rice, and millet are served here.
I'd like to write more about the food, mention the warm white wine in passing (it was helped along with ice cubes and a bucket of ice) and mention the incredibly friendly host – just go there for yourself and see for yourself.
Here, everything is gluten-free and there are milk alternatives. I visit Mecato almost daily and highly recommend the Arepas and Empanadas. I always go for one of the vegan options, like the Arepa Verde or Berlin, which are really tasty. The Arepa Caleña is also one of my favorites. My friend enjoys the Arepa Paisa, and in the picture, you can see the Arepa Llanera. The exotic juices and homemade lemonades are delicious and refreshing. The Colombian hot chocolate and coffee are also really good. Everyone in this family-owned business is very friendly and accommodating ☺️
When I called to reserve a seat, the staff was extremely friendly on the phone and was able to fulfill my wishes.
When we entered the extremely cozy and coolly furnished location, we saw very friendly, beaming faces - under the motto "It's nice that you came."
Service top, attentive, inquiring - old school of hospitality!!!
The food was fresh, looked good and tasted excellent. Little chats made the stay perfect.
I felt completely looked after but not intrusively served.
Thank you, also for the tip about the nearest café, which also serves cake that is gluten-free!
I'll be back!!!
We had a fantastic breakfast (the bread was amazing). Very nice staff, atmosphere and best glutenfree chocolate brownie in the city! Also… the pistachio croissant is to die for🥐😋
The breakfast was very good, and as you can see from the photo, it's plentiful. What I didn't like so much: I specifically googled where to get a gluten-free breakfast. I only got the gluten-free bread after asking for it, and I had to pay an extra €2 for it. It was simply substituted for the other roll.
It's a real shame, considering the breakfast was already about €15.
Cozy, instagrammable spot with top-notch service and a wide range of premium dishes. Around for years, yet still down to earth! Highly recommend, vegan and gluten-free options available. Coffee is amazing too. Shoutout to Jason for the great hospitality!
Really cute place with antique decor, had some breakfast and a really nice oat matcha latte. The gluten free nut bread was excellent. Perfect place for a meal before heading to the Neue Nationalegalerie which is a short walk away.
All allergens are marked on the online allergen menu. They have a good selection of gluten free items and I have not had a reaction as a celiac, but they do not have a dedicated gluten free kitchen.
Service is great and the staff has been the same for years, which is a good sign for me because they are knowledgeable about ingredients and allergens.
Very, very tasty golden milk and chai latte (homemade tea mix, iced also tastes very tasty). The brunch options are always delicious and exquisitely prepared. Vegan, gluten-free options. The plants and decorations are very beautiful. I don't always find the employees friendly and helpful.
Avo toast is sooo good. Coffee also very good. Gluten free available. Friendly staff. Good vibe. It is expensive. But worth it. (But still expensive.😝)
The food was excellent and delivered very fast. It is a very large restaurant with lots of seating for dining indoors and outdoors. There is no gluten free bread for breakfast but they have a gluten free pasta for dinner.
This is a fully vegan café with several cakes, brunch items and a few daily-changing meals, which are (except for the bread) all made in house. They have a couple of gluten-free options as well.
The cakes were okay and actually tasted better than they looked. Coffee, however, was not what it was supposed to be… The warm meal was absolutely not to my taste, and I couldn’t even finish it.
After all, the prices here are on the expensive side, too.
What I appreciated is that staff was friendly and honest when trying to help us choose what to order.
The café is quiet and seems suitable for working or studying. The interior features old furniture, including tables with mismatched chairs. The vintage and random interior represents the Berlin-style flair of this neighborhood.
We stopped by here on our way and had coffee and cake and a glass of Aperol. Everything was absolutely delicious. The carrot cake was a gluten-free treat. In addition to the gluten-free cake, they also offered gluten-free bagel toppings (as an alternative to the regular bagels and cake). The friendly man behind the counter was very accommodating and made us feel very welcome. We would come back anytime.
Fantastic patisserie - especially for weddings!
We ordered our wedding cake from Giang. It had three flavors, all of which were excellent. Our wedding guests enjoyed the cake and tried all the flavors.
We had a carrot cake with lemon curd and mango cream, a moss cake, and a dark chocolate cake with wild berry cream. Giang catered to our exact wishes, as we wanted a cake that wasn't too sweet. She also skillfully implemented our design ideas with the cake.
We can definitely recommend Zuckerboutique for her cakes! What's really great is that she can make cakes gluten- and lactose-free, and even vegan. If we have another larger celebration, we will definitely order our cake from Giang again.
The patisserie is also a beautiful place - the cakes are delicious, and the location on Meyerinckplatz is very relaxing. The savory selection is also truly delicious!
Creamy gluten-free cheesecake - so yummilicious I swear!! For all the celiacs in town, please check out this hidden gem in Charlottenburg/Wilmersdorf, always two cake options for gluten-free choice, quiet square to relax in the hustle of Berlin Bubble, also WiFi for a business session available 👌 highly recommend that little heaven!
The service is very friendly and attentive. The food is lovingly prepared and offers gluten-free alternatives. We enjoyed a very relaxed breakfast in a pleasant atmosphere with good music.
Unfortunately, the hyped café didn't convince us. The no-egg sandwich was extremely salty - even though I love eating salty food. The French toast was a pure sugar bomb, visually appealing but not balanced in taste. There were hardly any gluten-free options, even though they were mentioned in the fine print. The only plant-based milk alternative is oats, which is not suitable if you have gluten intolerance - I would have liked more choice from a plant-based café.
Everything was completely overpriced for what was on offer. The service also had a condescending vibe, and the constant mix of German and English was confusing - it would be better to agree on one language.
All in all, we didn't feel completely comfortable and won't be coming back.
