The food is absolutely AMAZING especially for the price. The biscuits are TO DIE for as well as the apple butter jam. Even the gluten free biscuits are great.
Staff is amazing. All of the girls were super nice and attentive! The manager (?) Kyle made sure to introduce himself to all new guests and checked on all of the tables. He even recommended places to see around Charleston (Definitely should be a tour guide) Thanks for the recommendations!
Love the merchandise as well!
DEDICATED FRYER!!! That should say enough for you to get over there! But, their bang bang shrimp (crispy gluten free tempura battered, fried in a dedicated fryer) was delicious! With a sweet Thai chili and spicy mayo drizzle. The fish tacos (gf battered, fried fish - or can be grilled) with a creamy slaw and corn tortillas served with crispy fry/chips were awesome! I had seen a review talking about lack of flavor - don’t listen to that. Could it use a pinch more salt? Sure. But it was incredibly flavorful, hot and so deliciously crispy, GF fried fish and shrimp! Wonderful experience! I recommend putting in a reservation to sit on the deck to make sure you get a spot outside!

Love the view. Service was not the greatest… waiter acted like he had better things to do. Now they are charging 3% admin fee to use a card!! What do u mean. Gluten free options at a bare minimum
Food was ok. I got the tacos without tortillas as I’m a gluten sensitive. Eggs were ok. Beans were watery. Coffee was bland. Just overall “eh” experience.
Really good coffee, gluten free bread for egg sandwiches - great quick breakfast spot!
The staff were all very friendly and easy to discuss gluten free options with. We ordered the “Farm Egg Sandwich” with sausage and the “Vintage Breakfast Sandwich” - both were delicious!
We are both very sensitive celiacs - and had no reaction eating here. We felt confident in their cross contamination measures, but keep in mind they are not a dedicated GF facility.
Farm Egg Sandwich - Sausage (scrambled egg, sharp cheddar, smashed sausage, comeback sauce, GF bread)
Vintage Breakfast Sandwich (fried egg, crispy prosciutto, muenster cheese, roasted tomato, dijonaise, GF bread)
This was the best dining experience we had in Charleston! I can’t rate it highly enough. We went to the location off of Lockwood, and it was simply amazing. The chef came out and talked to us about his method for making the pastries, and let us sample one of the beautiful French macarons. It was clear how much he cares about the quality of the food! They import a lot of ingredients from France, and grow their own herbs to garnish dishes. The owner actually got us settled for dinner - we had an amazing beef bourginon and a Mediterranean galette. I should say, a GLUTEN-FREE galette - they have extensive gluten-free options! Come get a crepe and enjoy the amazing customer service.
I couldn't wait to try this place when I finally made my way to Mt P. 55 dollars and a great disappointment later. The oreo cake and funfetti cake tasted like it sat in the refrigerator uncovered for days. The gluten free coffee cake was extremely dry and it wasn't even a crumb topping, it was brown sugar/cinnamon thrown on top. It all fell off with each bite. The sugar cookie crumbled with the first bite. The almond joy bar had great flavor, but wasn't fresh. Perhaps it was an off Saturday evening? Had I tasted any of the cakes prior to leaving, I would have asked for my money back.
They have a few specific menu items that are gf. I had the Black Sea Bass with grilled shrimp served over rice with sauteed spinach and cherry tomatoes. it was amazing and the staff knew what to do to keep me safe from cross contamination. I will be going back.
Great food served by great people!
I visited early in the morning for a quick bite while I waited for a family member to get out of surgery. I informed the staff that I had a wheat allergy and would need gluten-free bread, and they made sure that the cook was as careful as possible. The staff was phenomenal, incredibly friendly, and beyond respectful. I can’t say enough positive about my experience!
I am highly allergic to gluten (celiac disease) and dairy. Sophia went above and beyond to make sure my food was not cross contaminated. She was very polite and took even more precautions than what i asked for to make sure what I was eating was safe.
Thanks Sophia!!
I had Nautical Bowls for the first time after a long beach day a few weeks ago. The bowls my Girlfriend and I tried were amazing. So refreshing and she is grateful to find a spot dedicated gluten free! The staff were super helpful and the bathrooms were spotless :)
I used to love this place when it first opened and you could sit at the bar or have table service. Food isn't as good. But big props for having gluten-free options!!! Automatic extra star for that.
Do not eat here if you have Celiac disease or a gluten allergy. I got a terrible gluten belly reaction after eating a chicken BLT which was supposedly made gluten free.
The only place I will grab an acai bowl from and have been for years. I love that Tres only uses healthy ingredients. My favorite bowl is the choco bowl fresfitkate modified. I substitute nutella for organic peanut butter, add protein to the base, gluten free granola and bee pollen on top. So delicious!!!
Our group of 6 had brunch there today, and it was fabulous. I loved that I could talk with someone to make a reservation and ask questions about my dietary restrictions.
Sunday Brunch included an omelet station, eggs, shredded potato hash browns, sausage gravy, fresh fruit, homemade cinnamon sugar doughnuts, soft serve ice cream station with waffle cones and toppings, fresh fried chicken nuggets for waffles, which by the way were the fluffy, pillowy kind.
I asked a young lady who was refreshing the food if they had any GF items. She politely said she would check.
Before I knew it, I had a full size GF spice cake with cream cheese frosting and full on Carmel. Let’s note the violas that decorated my slice of heaven.
It turned out, the sweet lady was the owner, Kelleanne. While I was eating my yummy brunch, she proceeded to make fresh popovers - gluten free! They weren’t even on the menu for anyone!
If you’ve never had popovers with soft serve vanilla ice cream, you’re missing out.
They also own Honeysuckle Rose - an 8 course tasting menu restaurant in Charleston. I can’t wait to try it out! Just based on the service I received, I know Honeysuckle Rose is going to be nothing short of a Michelin quality experience!💕
