What a treat!! They fried the donut to order then glazed it hot… what?! So amazing! I haven’t had a donut (not a crappy cake donut anyways) in over 10 years since my celiac diagnosis. Amazing. Order ahead and pick up because street parking sucks but SO worth it, and the calories.

Came in for the gluten free cheesesteak as I kept seeing it recommended online. It was a solid sandwich. The GF bread was the best part. The steak and cheese needed a little love, some seasoning, and a little more of it in the sandwich.
Marvelous gem!!!!! My sister has a gluten allergy and I was searching very hard for bakeries that offered Gf options with big variety and my best search was this shop…… BEYOND DELICIOUS!! Exceeded my expectations. Very grateful for this bakery and happy I was able to make my sisters birthday. 100/10 recommend 🩷
We love this place. We stop here regularly when driving between Brooklyn and upstate NY.
They have many gluten-free options, they’ve got vegetarian options, and American traditional food. Good coffee, clean restroom, yummy food.
We drove from Buffalo to eat here. I must say it was worth it. Fantastic service and delicious crepes. So Fresh and tasty. My wife is celiac and they were accommodating.
They take allergies and celiac very seriously here. Although the menu is not marked, you can ask them what is gluten-free. I'm majority of the entrées are. And they have a dedicated fryer and some of the best fries we have ever had. It is one of our go to places and we feel very safe coming here. They've got great protocols in place.
Went on a Thursday night and sat in the patio. Music was playing. They have happy hour till 7. Great 3 dollar tacos. And a huge portion of the menu is dairy, gluten free or both. Really delicious food
My daughter and I loved everything about this restaurant. The service was terrific. The tables had beautiful, colorful coverings. The food was amazing and almost everything is gluten free! I had an arepa with chicken salad, it comes topped with creamy shredded gouda. She had the chicken empanadas, which were crispy and delicious. I can't wait to return and try more dishes.
Not celiac safe at all. Came here because a friend told me the guy who works at the front has celiac and is very conscientious. Not my experience at all. Staff was curt and short. Sicker than I’ve been in a very long time. Really a shame because the food was delicious
Jay was the most knowledgeable, attentive and kind server! He graciously helps you navigate the large menu by giving sincere recommendations. I have celiac and need extra reassurance that my meal will be prepared gluten free. He made the experience excellent and we will be back thanks to him!
Such incredibly good gluten-free food! My daughter, who is the one with celiac, was so excited to get the onion rings and gluten-free Oreo shake! My husband and I do not have to eat gluten-free and still got the gluten-free fried chicken and it was seriously some of the best chicken I’ve ever had in my life! Very, very tender. We drove 20 minutes out of our way to get here and I would do it again in a heartbeat. Wish we lived closer.
Wow, what a gem! My friend and I had a fantastic meal, while marveling at the man who seems to do everything. While we picked out desserts after our meal, we talked with him about food allergies/intolerances and where he sources ingredients. He mentioned that online reviews say he's not friendly, but I think he's just a quiet and reserved person who wants to leave you alone to enjoy your meal with your friends.
The food was amazing -- avocado fries, mushroom toast, salad with grilled avocado, and naan filled with a frittata. And I don't mean "amazing compared to other GF/DF/etc foods" -- it stands up to expensive meals I've had in fancy restaurants: flavorful, creative, with impeccable presentation. My salad had slices of 2 or 3 different types of radish on it, for example. Just the right amount to give variety to every bite. I didn't try the naan, but the baguette in the mushroom toast was as good as gluten full bread.
I like that it's a casual vibe -- when I wanted a second bottle of water, he was busy making something, so I just grabbed a bottle from the cooler and told him to add it to our tab.
First time and will definitely come back! I thoroughly enjoyed a cinnamon bun with a generous cream cheese icing and grabbed a pretzel to try later. Lovely and helpful staff. Gluten free or not, check them out!
Great service and food. The spicy guacamole is delicious and the dirty veg tacos are great! Our favorite by far though was the mango Panna cotta paired with passionfruit sorbet. Amazing! The outside seating area is lovely! they also have lots of gluten-free options!
Delicious breakfast sandwiches in a fast casual atmosphere. The eggs were fluffy and our sandwiches were ready quickly. Gluten free bread is available for a few extra dollars.
We like to support small establishments, particularly those that serve vegetarian and/or vegan entrees (a REALLY good one is Hosers in the Fareway at Chestnut Hill). We had been to the Green Fork a few years ago and liked the menu. After tonight's over-priced and tiny portion, as well as snarky waitress, we will not be back. I was charged $17 for a mushroom wrap (it was $2 more for a Gluten free wrap which was the tiniest wrap I've ever seen) with a smattering of greens on the side; the wrap was supposed to have caramelized onions and cheese. Definitely no cheese and if the onions were there and caramelized, I could not detect them. This tells me the management is buying cheap ingredients while gouging its customers. We also had to wait for our food as the waitress was MIA; I overheard the chef asking her where she was and her explaining that she drank a lot of water (TMI!).
I told the waitress I wasn't happy with my meal and wanted to tell them rather than just write a bad review. She said, "I'll be right back," and then disappeared. We finally gave up and got up to leave and she came over and started explaining she was on the phone to the owner whose only response was that the GF wraps were more expensive. I told her we wouldn't be back and she sullenly told me she was going to offer us a discount. I told her to put it toward her tip.
We were surprised at how empty the place was when we got there; not anymore! Not sure if it's a new owner or new management, but we will definitely NOT be back.
As we were getting into our car, the waitress actually came out and asked about her service. I said, well, in all honesty, we had to wait longer than normal because you disappeared. She huffily told me that she isn't the only one working there; someone else could have brought us our food. NO accountability. And then she tried to say it was my expectations. I said, anyone would have expected to get their food in a reasonable amount of time.
She told us to "have a blessed day;" somehow, I doubt that was what she really meant.
Sometimes, all ya really want is a good ol' gluten free breakfast sandwich, and thankfully, High Street delivers!
Apparently you can order a GF loaf ahead of time as well, in case you were wondering. The man working was super nice 🙂
Also very happy that they have delicious modification options, so my maple sausage, egg + cheese with avocado + caramelized onions was super flavorful and juuust a little bigger than I could finish.
Their pastries and refrigerated sides look super good; only one gf chocolate muffin available.
Small place with enough seating for 4-5 inside and 6 outside.
& the fresh OJ was super fresh!
I enjoyed my experience. I ordered the gluten free pancakes with two eggs over easy. I’ll be back to try some of their gluten free baked goods which were in a case separated from the other baked goods.
Food is mediocre at best and definitely overpriced. $20 for TWO scallops. Salads were bland. Service was slow and food wasn’t served as the menu described. The ambiance is weird…it’s like this restaurant can’t decide who they want to be. One section is rustic, another contemporary, another modern farmhouse style, and last but not least, the kitchen area looks like a 1950’s diner. They up charge for everything. If you have a gluten allergy and ask for gluten free bread, be prepared to pay an extra $3 (even though regular bread is complimentary).
This is a gluten and nut free bakery. And so far I have tried most everything they sell, cookies, muffins, scones and small bunt cakes. All of them are delicious.
Can’t believe I haven’t left a review sooner. I just love this place so much. The environment is always so warm and welcoming and the food is always on point. The lady owner and the chefs offered and went out of their way today to make a gluten free accommodation that they absolutely did not have to. I’m not going to say what she did so none of us bother them about it moving forward lol. But it was the first time in a very long time that I had a nostalgic meal like that and I’m really grateful for a place that treats their patrons with such love and a sense of community. Means a lot, thank you!
So delicious! I have a burger on a GF bun and fries from their dedicated fryer. The server was gluten free herself and was SO helpful. I can’t wait to go back!
The cakes have gotten shorter and shorter and the quality is going down. This one had an obvious patch put on the side and it’s just not presentable when trying to impress someone with a gifted cake!
Just last summer the mini death by chocolate reached the top of the packing box and had perfect frosting (with pipping along the base, middle and top) Now you’re paying $16.75 for something barely larger than a grocery store muffin. I should’ve checked the price of the gluten free one because I believe that’s about $1-2 more and they all looked a bit melted at the base.
Really disappointed that I barely got one summer last year of having a decent bakery around. I added two photos of last years same death by chocolate (green and flower on top) those were taller, more cake than icing and honestly beautiful.
I hope improvements can be made because I recommend this place to everyone.

This cafe is located right across the street from the Eastern State Penitentiary. Stop in! It’s terrific!
First, it’s a big place, with a great vibe and friendly people. It was well organized and clean. Also, it had lots of choices for good preferences and allergies. I’m gluten free and dairy free and had many choices here. They have drinks and food. I can vouch for the oat milk latte.
This an LGBTQ friendly place, as evidenced by their signage and gender neutral bathrooms. I saw a lot of diversity in patrons: families, students, seniors and couples. Lots of tourists and locals alike.
Price were fair and accessibility was available. Parking is a bit harder in this area but you can find street parking with some patience. Worth the time to visit!
My husband and I decided to come here yesterday for a last minute night out and we have 2 complaints -
1. The menu on their website reads as if they have gluten free pasta and pizza options because both sections are not marked with the “cannot be made GF” asterisk. I am gluten free so this was a let down. I definitely recommend management update the website to be more clear.
2. Our cocktails were bad. We each had one of the signature cocktails and felt like they were unusually sweet. We then got 2 dirty martinis and they were very bad. We had asked the waitress if they were served in chilled glasses and she said yes but that was not true. The martinis we received were warm and not dirty. Could barely drink them.
Our food was tasty and the service was good so I hope next time is better on the cocktail front!
Ate here after the Liberty tour. Fantastic cheesesteak with an excellent gluten free bun, that believe it or not, was the same size as the regular bun. Loved the Old Bay fries as well. Recommend!!
We had a fabulous dinner here. They had the best gluten free options ever! I cannot believe that I was able to enjoy fried chicken bites and steak crostini and it was all sans gluten. Thank you Black Forest Brewery for providing these options.
Some of the best breakfast of my entire life. Sublime. The namesake pancakes are as good as you'd want them to be, rich, complex, savory. Each variety or different type of cake hits such different notes and is such a delight to try.
Even the gluten free pancakes, definitely not my thing, were vastly enjoyed by my mom who because of dietary restrictions couldn't have anything else. She asks me if we can come back here very often.
As for anything else here, you may have had better eggs elsewhere I can't speak to that. But the pancakes in particular are of an unreal quality, I've taken friends here and they've agreed with me on how great it is here.
And I'm not ragging on the other meals you can have here either, I've mostly stayed pancake exclusive myself, but the eggs I've had were also of an above average quality to say the least.
The place is well maintened and really looks like a cheesecake factory, but less, I dunno, in your face? I like it a lot. Very homey, but still classy. Overall, great place, great food, and I've only had great service.

Food, service and atmosphere were all great and my celiac daughter was well taken care of. I'm giving 3 stars because we went on mother's day and they were taking reservations. But the online wait-list nor anywhere else online that we saw said so. So we joined the wait-list which said 10-20 min but it was really 45min. They really needed to take the wait-list offline and post they are taken reservations for that day.
Edit:
Thanks for the response, good to see you pay attention to customer feedback, I gave you another star for the followup.

I have loved Dolce Vita desserts for almost 10 years. When it was time for my wedding cake, I knew I wanted Dolce Vita, even though I now live 2+ hours away. Mary and the team were very communicative regarding traveling with my cake and made the process seamless. The cake was everything I hoped for! It was beautiful and delicious. We had some gluten free guests who we got cupcakes for and they said it was the best gluten free cupcakes they have ever had !
Incredibly unique and reasonable restaurant. We enjoyed our lunch so very very much. Many gluten free options. I would eat here again. Our first Tomato Pie.....it won't be our last.
I have Celiac and got the GF French toast, bacon and a Mocha iced coffee. It has been a while since I had French toast and I enjoyed this way too much. I finished every single bite.! Will be our go to café when we come back to Hershey
