Oh the tram! The tram! My favorite cafe I’ll try to sum it up, best I can. The tram is full of tasty delights Bustling but cozy from morning to nights You can have a delicious sandwich or soup Bring a friend, better yet, and order two! Their poetry nights are a big hit Their other events are just as lit! The owners and staff are so very kind, Their events, art, and vibe are so divine. At the tram you’ll always have a good time :) (But for real holy heck I’d be so much worse without the tram. Great food options I’m gluten free now which makes me want to cry but the tram makes it better because they have like 3 gluten free bread options. Sometimes they even have gluten free pasta salad which makes me so happy. They have non dairy milks so I don’t hurt the general public. Delicious soups. I love their dirty Thai coffee. They have a space for me and others to share our poetry and music and art. I really do always have a good time here, you won’t regret checking it out!!)

If you are in Utica you must dine here. If you are not in Utica, go there just to dine here. Talk about feeling like you are home! This family makes you so welcome, and the food is outrageously delicious. Be sure to try the Turkish coffee that they offer. I said no, initially then thankfully changed my mind! We were a party of five and every one of us loved our respective dishes. My brother has Celiac disease and they were wonderful with him. He did mourn over not being able to have the lush pita! The lamb was tender. The salads were crisp. The hungry sailor boys with us were stuffed when we left. Seriously. One of the best places to eat in the greater Utica area.

In a world of mass-produced baked goods, Knead to Eat stands out as a beacon of artisanal excellence. Whether you’re looking for a quick treat or needing a custom dessert for a special occasion, this bakery is a must-visit. I recently had the pleasure of visiting Knead To Eat, a charming locally owned bakery which has quickly become my favorite when I visit Utica. Each time I have walked in, I was greeted by the warm, inviting aroma of freshly baked goods that immediately set the tone for my exceptional experiences. And yes, when I am there, I always eat dessert before my meal. They look (and taste) too delicious to wait until after. The selection of pastries, desserts, breakfast and lunch options are nothing short of impressive. Each item is crafted with care and attention to detail, showcasing the bakery's commitment to quality ingredients and traditional baking methods. I sampled several items; each one was a delightful testament to the skill and passion of the bakers. What truly sets Knead to Eat apart is the owner, Doug. Of the 10 plus times I have been there, Doug has been very present as well. It has become uncommon to see restaurant owners have such front end involvement. His dedication to the restaurant and his craft is evident in every aspect of the bakery, from the warm customer service to the meticulous presentation of each plated item. Doug takes the time to engage with customers and ensures that everyone feels welcomed, valued and leaves full. I highly recommend supporting this local gem and indulging in the delicious offerings that the team at Knead to Eat creates with such passion. I can’t wait to return to Utica simply for this adorable gem of a restaurant. Vegetarian, vegan, and gluten free options too
