We have a classic and excellent lunch at the Black Bear Diner. Pot roast and a salad were the fare of the day. The atmosphere was relaxing and comfortable and the services was impeccable. Our server Bryan went out of his way to help us out and accommodate our gluten intolerance. Thanks Bryan for a surprise awesome lunch! You are amazing! If you are looking for a wide selection, good food, and great service hit the Black Bear. You won't be disappointed.

Within minutes of my review, the owner replied. That speaks volumes they truly care. We look forward to trying the Cafe again just from the quick response. Bless you and thank you. Don't go here if are Gluten-free. I have been gluten-free for over 8 years due to gluten intolerance and the GF bread here is hard, dense and cold, straight out of the refrigerator and placed on a plate. My husband and I deconstructed our sandwiches and uncomfortably asked to send just the bread back to be toast. It came back still cold and not toasted at all. For those that are Gluten-free, cold, GF, bread is absolutely terrible unless it's from a Quality Bakery that knows GF. This bread was an ice cold brick. However, our waiter was amazing and tried very hard to be accommodating. He could only provide us with what the restaurant has available. A very polite person so we thanked him for his efforts. The salads looked really good though! Me personally, I am so tired of eating just salad. Oh and, the deserts looked absolutely amazing. Wish I could eat gluten. So to sum up this review, the restaurant really needs to find a quality gluten-free Baker because, gluten intolerance is a serious issue for those of us with severe gastrointestinal problems!!! I know, TMI right! Thank you for your time.

Great pies. Patio awesome on a warm evening. Happy servers, dog friendly, I've got nothing bad to say. Well, you're kinda stuck with salads if you're gluten free. The Brussel sprouts are gluten free and A+++ I can't figure out how to make them like that at home!

Placed a mobile order for a kids brisket with fries and a loaded baker with chicken. The brisket was quite good as always. However, the fries were very heavily seasoned (see picture) The loaded baker had fake/bacon bits - this was for my wife, who is gluten free, and most bacon bits are not gf. Unfortunately, the portion of chicken was about half of what we received last time (see picture) Minor item, the soda was very off, likely the syrup had run out, and I had ice even though It was ordered without ice. Overall, generally good food, but some general lack of consistency and portion control.
