Always delicious, generous portions- can never go wrong with Swami’s!
My favorite item is the ABC omelette. Avocado, crispy bacon, cheese. So good.
They also have lots of gluten free and vegetarian options which is great. Their gluten free pancakes are amazing!
Their gluten free scones and butter selection are the best I’ve ever had. Friends who have gotten the non gluten free one say it’s pretty similar and actually liked the gluten free one better! Love the coffee art and the little spark of joy notes too.
Every time we go in everyone is always happy and really nice. We get great service. It’s a favorite with the kids and their friends. Good gluten free options as well.
Patient with my toddler, the best gluten free pizza in SoCal - plus the gf blueberry pancakes. Omg!!!! I’ve been eating here for years and happily will return.
Warm and inviting. Buzzing with people from the community. Friendly dogs on the patio, service dogs only inside please.
Plated meals, bakery cabinet, and creative coffees.
Two vegan and gluten-free baked goods thebdaybI visited, and the GF pumpkin scone was not dry!
A place to work, read, or socialize!
Came here for the gluten-free French toast in a waffle. They did not have that, so I got regular gf french toast. It was dense, heavy, and cinnamon raisin bread (not advertised as such) but good. I ate outside, and there were no condiments at my table, so my eggs were real plane. I also got a Mexican mocha that was good. The mug was ridiculously big, so I'd ask for it in a togo cup next time. They do have gf pancakes and waffles.
It is a counter order type of place, but they do bring it to your table. Service was very fast and everyone was nice.
I am so sad. I wanted to love this place. I skipped dinner last night and partied, so I was looking forward to a big breakfast. It was big but I didn't even finish it.
I ordered the sunshine omelet with gluten-free pancakes and a coffee. They did bring extra gf pancakes because they are smaller than normal ones. I was very excited then the food came out. The pancakes were burnt (the food filter on my camera makes them look dark golden, but they were burnt) and doughy at the same time. They did let me sample the apple syurp, which was good. The omelet was ok but did not live up to the hype. The coffee was watered down. With tip, it was over $30.
The staff was amazing. They offer a military discount.
Ate outside. Gluten free on menu. Servers are aware. Many options. Mexican food. Portions can be large.
Drinks good. Staff nice. Place pretty clean. Parking can be difficult

Trip 2
1. Disappointed by the perpetuation of unnecessary waste .... I'm staying for a cup of coffee and yet no inquiry of this and the automatic paper cup rather than a mug a paper bag rather than a plate, plastic bottles for house made juices with no loop in place to reclaim and reuse. Consumption consumption consumption, waste waste waste. Must change.
2. Luke warm coffee, never fixed...
3. uninspired, uninspiring service
Awesome place! Great service! Lovely patio in back that allowed Poppy dog. Awesome with gluten-free options and answering questions. Had fried ice cream and flan (both gluten-free) and they were delicioso!!
We loved the food and service! The food was fresh and made with care. I was able to have a gluten free and pork free meal (food sensitivities) that were still very delicious. Restaurant was clean, well lit, and inviting.
The food was so tasty!! I loved that the wait staff were knowledgeable about what had wheat, and gluten. The potato skins were crispy and the best thing I’ve ever had!
We also ordered the chicken and mashed potatoes and were pleased!
Super nice staff and all the food is great (I was told about this place by a couple elderly San Diegans who've been coming here for years! - they know!) I had turkey avocado benedict on top of the hash Browns (per gluten free necessity) and it was fantastic. Greek salad was lovely too. Huge portions- 3 ethnicities of food and breakfast all day.. definitely something for everyone! I'll be back for sure.
During one of our visit to San Diego, We sometimes have a sudden hunger and jump into the first restaurant that offers Gluten Free Items.. to start We would like to thanks Will the chef on duty when we came for lunch, my Husband has Celiac so gluten is a no no. Will made the impossible possible by making a double hamburger well fitted into a GF English Muffin, that takes skills, BRAVO to Will.
My Hubby's Mom who is a young soon to be 91 years old has a lot of difficulty chewing food so it has to be very soft, Mommy loves salmon so we ordered Salmon with 2 sides ,mashed potatoes and mixed veggies.
I asked our very nice waitresse Danielle to ask the chef to cook the veggies extra soft, despite this, the veggies were still a little too hard for Mommy to chew. Danielle took things into her own hands and got these veggies and put them into the blender making mashed Veggies that Mommy enjoyed as the empty bowl did show when she was done.
Danielle went truly above and beyond her duty as a waitress, her caring for others and her customers is absolutely EXCEPTIONAL.
To the manager and the corporate, I say, Take good care of this young lady, employee like her are rare. THANK YOU DANIELLE for being so wonderful 💖
See you soon.
This is kind of a smaller IHOP as they go, and the outside isn't very inviting, but the inside is clean and modern. There are barriers between all the booths and plenty of light coming in through the many windows. The food is just like you'd expect from an IHOP, although I learned that they have gluten free pancakes and waffles, and turkey bacon and sausage. We had a really nice server, efficient and helpful. The only downside is that they have a bell on their front door and it rings at length.... every.... single.... time.... the.... door.... opens.....
Really tasty food! I'm vegan and gluten free so I ordered the Cauliflor taco. Great service, awesome presentation, very clean, great salsa bar and outdoor seating. My only wish is that chips would be served on the side with each taco.
I just love this little local restaurant. First, the outdoor dining is very appealing. It’s nice to just sit and watch the passersby on a beautiful day
But what keeps me coming back is the amazing tacos that they serve! I’m gluten-free so I really can’t partake in the burgers and such, but these tacos are fantastic, highly recommend the fish taco and the short rib taco. They’re so good. I just keep getting the same thing every time I go back.
Service is always great The staff has a smile on their face and the food is brought out in just the right amount of time.
Highly recommend this place if you were in downtown La Mesa for lunch or dinner !
I had a great experience at better Buzz. I have a lot of food, allergies, and Rachel assisted me with all of my food questions . I had a delicious gluten-free turkey pesto sandwich, and the most delicious cup of coffee. I will absolutely be returning, and everyone there was so delightful. Thank you Better Buzz 🐝 😊
